Story
Est dob: 4/29/2017, spayed, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative , and chipped, approximately 35 lbs   Lunaria is house trained (always expect an adjustment period). She is crate trained and sleeps in there at night. She loves to lay in the sun and on the patio furniture relaxing. She’s good with the other dogs in her Foster home. She is not a fan of car rides. When she goes in the car she must be in a crate for her safety and the drivers. She does need to be fed separate from other dogs in the house.   She has the funniest and sweetest personality!   Please consider making this adorable girl a member of your family. As we are a foster based rescue, we do require a completed application to be submitted before we arrange a meet.  This can be found on our website at: https://almosthomepetrescue.org/apply-now-1    $200 adoption fee includes core vaccinations, rabies vaccination, heart worm test (in dogs over 6 months of age), microchip and registration, spay/neuter, wormer and flea and heart worm prevention while the dog is in our care. All breed and size categorizations are estimates.  October 16, 2024, 11:33 pm

Story
Apollo is a 2-year-old 24 lb Jack Russell Terrier mix. He was purposely hit by a car in Cleveland, TX and sustained a L6 vertebral fracture. He needed spinal stabilization surgery and has recovered beautifully. The vets were not sure he would have a successful recovery, but he’s proved them wrong! When he was found, he was bloodied up and unable to move on the side of the road. He’s a lucky pup because if his fracture were any lower, he would’ve been paralyzed and could’ve possibly had a different outcome. Apollo is a funny guy that will keep a smile on your face. He`s been through so much in his short life and deserves a home that will spoil him the way he was meant to be spoiled!

Story
Buddy appears to be a Jack Russell Terrier/other terrier mix. He is around 1 year of age and weighs 24 pounds. He was found under a bridge in one of the local dumping areas. It is no surprise that Buddy was scared when we first got him, but he quickly warmed up. He loves getting attention from his people. He loves pets and being close to his humans. He loves belly rubs and will roll over on his back whenever you bend over to pick him up. Buddy is small but mighty. He is muscular and high-energy and requires exercise. He loves to run and wrestle with other dogs. Sometimes, he can be naughty and will intimidate one of our more submissive dogs. Yet he backs down when one of the chihuahuas or another dog puts him in his place. Buddy is generally a good boy, and training is a work in progress. He listens well and comes when called. He is crate-trained and fairly well-behaved in the house. We are working on teaching him manners. He gets jumpy when he wants attention and more training is needed. He responds well to "no" and the "tsch" correction (as used by Cesar Milan). It would be best if applicants have dog experience and are willing to hire a trainer if necessary. Buddy would love his new family to play with him, take him on walks, cuddle, and give him a lot of affection and belly rubs. Buddy must be an inside dog and a loved member of the family. He must be walked on a leash and have a secure, fenced yard to run and play. Buddy is neutered, tattooed, fully vaccinated (DAPPvL2, Bordatella, rabies), and microchipped. He is heartworm-negative and receives monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Buddy is available for adoption to approved in-state and out-of-state applicants. His in-state adoption fee is $150. His out-of-state adoption fee is $400 and includes the cost of ground transport by a reputable and trusted transport company. He can be transported almost anywhere within the continental United States. Please email 2manydogstx@gmail.com if you would like to adopt this sweet, active little guy.
