Story
Danielle aka Coco is a sweet, comical little girl. She loves being petted and is quick to offer her belly for tummy rubs. She enjoys tearing around the backyard, at breakneck speed but stops after a couple of laps. She loves playing with her foster buddy, Marvin (aka Vinnie), but she can sometimes challenge other small dogs. She will also initially challenge larger dogs, but stops after being put in her place a time or two with a bark from the larger dog. Coco was returned for nipping at a baby but she was okay with toddlers in her foster home when she returned to our program. Because of her history, I would not recommend placing her with babies or children under the age of 6 or so. A trial period with any other dogs in the home would be recommended. She could also be an only dog and be perfectly happy. She loves people. ****Prior to filling out an application or contacting RHS, please completely read the instructions below.**** ALL ADOPTERS/FOSTERS MUST LIVE WITHIN 60 MILES OF RICHARDSON, TX. Story
Hey there, it’s me, Izzy, a Yorkie/Chihuahua 9-month-old puppy and your next best friend. I may be very demure, but I have quite an entertaining personality. My favorite pastimes are enjoying a sunny day in the yard and chasing squirrels with my foster sister. I generally prefer to sleep with my foster mom and sleep restfully all night. I am a very petite girl, weighing in at a solid 5 ½ pounds, so I also prefer sleeping anywhere but on the ground – the back of the couch or your lap – making me feel important!   My foster mom says I’m smart because it only took me a few days to master the doggie door to do my business. If you’re looking for a sweet, loving, and delicate little princess – I’m your girl! ##2266317##

Story
Meet Evie, a vibrant and joyful Jack Russell terrier mix, who at just 1 ½ years old and weighing about 37 lbs, is already capturing hearts. Evie's journey with Duck Team 6 began thanks to the dedication of a kind-hearted Good Samaritan and several attentive neighbors in a Lewisville community. After a month of being cared for and watched over, Evie gracefully waltzed right into one of our Duck Team 6 traps, marking the beginning of her new life. Evie has since been thriving in a loving foster home, surrounded by a warm-hearted family, four canine companions, and a revolving door of visiting dogs and children. She adores kids and forms deep bonds with her fellow furry friends, particularly her best pal, Skylar, as seen in her photo. Her foster mom describes Evie as exceptionally intelligent and quick to learn. Full of energy, she exhibits an athletic prowess, reveling in running, jumping, and playful escapades in the backyard. Evie would make an excellent partner for anyone with an active lifestyle and is looking for an enthusiastic exercise buddy. She's crate-trained and is working to improve her leash manners. But it's not all about play for Evie; she's also a cuddle enthusiast, cherishing moments spent snuggled up on the couch with her human friends. This sweet girl is eagerly awaiting her forever home where she can share her boundless love and zest for life. If you're looking for a spirited, affectionate companion, Evie might just be your perfect match. To learn more about Evie, please reach out to placement@duckteam6.org. Evie can't wait to meet her new family!     October 28, 2024, 3:31 pm

Meet Kiki.   She is an adorable Terrier mix.   She is great with people and children.  Her lil eye had to be removed earlier this year. If you have another dog it would need to be a stronger type as she is rather dominant with weaker pups. She is about 2 years old and weighs 10 lbs.  ##2121763##

Story
Energetic 3-year-old Luna spends long days alone, tolerantly resting in her crate while her humans are at work. But she yearns for a new home where she is more free to romp, run, chase critters, and play fetch, getting plenty of interaction with an active and engaging family. She's prepared to dazzle you with her repertoire of tricks, including sit, stay, paw, lie down, roll over, kissy, and spin. She'll even balance treats on her nose then toss them into the air to catch! Luna is a fun-loving, spunky girl, who is always in the mood to go on adventures, and she never fails to bring toys back to keep a game of fetch going.  After she has tired you out, Luna's content to relax on her bed or snuggle up beside you for a nap, particularly if you are offering belly rubs. She's fully crate trained and house-trained but needs continued work at walking more calmly on leash. She's eager to engage with other dogs who are similarly fun-loving and energetically playful; because she's a big girl for a rattie mix (35 lbs.), other dogs who are smaller, timid, or grumpy might be annoyed by her persistent liveliness. Luna is extremely smart and highly motivated by food. She has been trained to not take treats or food unless told 'take,' and if she gets possessive over high-value treats or things she shouldn't have, she'll listen to you when you say 'leave it.' Taking her guard dog responsibilities seriously, she'll alert her humans to suspicious noises or people outside and will greet newcomers to the home with barking and jumping. After a few treats and a little time, however, she'll accept the new friends and offer them her toys. Her excitable nature and inclination to resource guard food and treats makes her unsuitable for young children. But beautiful Luna will be the perfect companion for an active and attentive household whose members spend much time at home. See more photos of Luna at www.imageevent.com/Newrattitude/luna .Our adoption fee is $200 for adult dogs or $250 for puppies under 6 months old. If you are interested in adopting this dog, PLEASE READ THE DETAILED ADOPTION PROCESS information on our website at www. NewRattitude.org/adopt/  From there, you can access our adoption application or contact our Adoption Team for more info. December 25, 2024, 9:22 pm
