Help us give a warm welcome to Walter! This little guy has been through so much in his short life, and he is finally getting the stability and love he deserves. Walter’s journey has been a whirlwind—originally purchased from a breeder, he kept escaping his first home’s backyard, so they sold him to another family. That family decided he wasn’t the right fit and passed him along to yet another home. His last family, an elderly couple with health issues, couldn’t keep him either. Thankfully, an animal advocate stepped in to ensure Walter found his way to safety with Rescue Row. Walter is settling into his foster home and is understandably confused and timid, but his foster mom is showering him with love and helping him build a routine so he can feel safe and secure. Walter went to the vet for a checkup and initial vaccines and we are so happy to report that he is heartworm negative! Walter is a 1 1/2 year old, 14.6 lb, Jack Russell Terrier. Dogs 12 weeks-6 months old: $300 adoption fee
Dogs 7 months and older: $275 adoption fee
Rescue Row is a 501(c)3 (non-profit) all volunteer dog rescue organization serving the DFW Metroplex. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in shelters, dogs in abusive or neglectful situations, and dogs surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority. Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs.
