Story
Sweet Lydia is looking for a calm family to love her! She has a history of coming in and out of the shelter environment for the past 4 years. In 2019, Lydia was surrendered to the shelter when she was just 2 years old because she kept escaping from the backyard, yet she was kept outdoors 24/7. She was a cutie, so of course was adopted just a couple of days later. This adoption lasted for a few years! She stayed with this family until a few months ago when they surrendered her because of needing to concentrate on caring for an elderly family member. She again was adopted quickly. She was returned for the third time in November for "being aggressive towards the family, including their small child". Mind you, Lydia has lived her entire life with children and other dogs. Unfortunately, we don't know the circumstances behind what happened in her third and most recent home. She is very confused.  Lydia has been tossed around time after time. Now that she is under our rescue, we will strive to do right by Lydia and find her a home where she can relax, settle in, and spend the remainder of her life being loved and cherished. Lydia is now 6 years old and weighs 20lbs. She is doing fabulously in her foster home and has given no issues to her foster mom! Her foster mom says she is a snuggly girl and gets along great with all of the other dogs in the home. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm negative.  ************************************Lydia is located in a foster home. We are happy to coordinate a meet & greet for pre-approved adopters. To get started, please submit an adoption application at https://bit.ly/HOTNADOPTUSA Adoption process:Potential adopters complete our online application. From there, we contact them to continue the screening process including checking references, vet checks, and a personal phone interview. Upon completion, potential adopters are pre-approved. From there, potential adopters are put in touch with the foster parent(s) of the dog they are interested in adopting. If a specific dog is not in mind, admins will make suggestions based on who we feel will be good candidates for their home. We take the foster's opinions into high consideration when determining ideal fit for an adoption. Once the dog is determined to be a good fit for the adoptive home, the adopter is given advisement on decompression, training, safety gear, and future preventative vetting. The adoption contract is signed and adoption fee paid to finalize the adoption. ##2238887##

Meet CrosleyMale Jack Russell/Bull Terrier MixDOB: 10/22/2024 estimatedADOPTION FEE: $300Crosley and his 2 sisters were dumped out on someone's property left to fend for themselves. With only 1 of the 3 being able to hear, they managed to stay safe until someone took them in. The finder tried to find homes, but ended up bringing them to us after 2 weeks. Even though Crosley can't hear, he is a sweet boy, who's ready to be the perfect companion to someone with a little patience and understanding. All our pets are posted online and we continue to take applications until they are officially adopted. Many times things change and an approved adopter does not adopt the animal so we do maintain a wait list when necessary. All our adoptable animals are spayed or neutered, micro-chipped, dewormed, UTD on age appropriate vaccines & started on Flea Preventatives. All Canines are started on Heartworm Preventatives and if 6 months or older they are tested for Heartworm Disease.WE ARE OPEN for visitors from 12PM - 4PM Tuesday-Saturdays or by APPOINTMENT at other times. We suggest calling prior to visiting our adoption center to ensure the animal you wish to meet is here at our Center (some are in foster care) and still available. She is the only 1 out of the 3 siblings brought to us that can hear. She was the only set of ears that helped keep them safe after being dumped off on a strangers property. Story
Rory is a great companion dog for a young, active family! She's 2.5 yrs old and she has a lot of energy but she also loves to cuddle on the couch or on her "spot" (aka her bed). She deserves a family who has a backyard or likes to go on walks since she can run around all afternoon if you let her! She knows sit, stay, come, treat, and spot. She can be a good guard dog too as she will bark at the knock or doorbell but she has never bit/attacked someone. She has gotten territorial and aggressive with (3) family dogs before but there didn't seem to be a rhyme or reason to it but it was scary so we've decided for everyone's safety not to allow her around them anymore. She's had some other great dog friends though! She's great with kids and babies- she loves her people well and will be loyal to them. She eats normally and does not have any health issues at all! She loves a good treat and to be pet. She can be timid toward some people but once she gets to know you, she loves you!
