Story
This precious little brindle girl is considered to be a Jack Russell dachshund mix girl and is always going to be what you call a lowrider dog in her life. She is looking for a home that is active and can take her fun puppy antics all in stride. She is a climber very similar to a little monkey and she loves to explore the great outdoors with her nose. She only moves slow when she's about ready to collapse and take a nap. She snuggles. She gets along with other dogs including a huge 100 lb Golden Retriever. She is a happy girl and did not like her photo session. It made her shy and not looking as confident as she truly is in real life. She is currently 9 lb at 12 weeks of age. We think that she was born somewhere around the middle of June. She will be perfect for a home that has a fenced-in backyard as she is not a fan of the leash yet and does need the ability to be able to run to her heart's desire. She will perhaps learn leash training easier in a harness. She is ready for adoption now and if you are ready for the excitement and activity of your life then sign up by writing to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com. We anticipate her final adult weight to be in the 20 lb range PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.October 31, 2024, 2:39 pm

Story
Hi there! I’m Hiccup, an 8-year-old Jack Russell Terrier with a heart as big as my body is small. Despite a detour in his journey that led him to seek a new forever home, Hiccup's spirit remains as lively as ever. While he may take a little time to warm up to new faces, he'll be your most loyal companion once he does. Hiccup is an ideal match for households with other dogs, as he is friendly with all dogs he has met. His manners extend to potty time, whether it's indoors on paper or outside. He is fully potty trained. Hiccup's medium activity level means he's not always the most energetic pup on the block, but he'll be glad to join you for a relaxing afternoon at home. Hiccup prefers the freedom of not being confined to a crate but has proven himself to be a model citizen when left alone in the house. With his gentle nature and laid-back demeanor, Hiccup would thrive in a loving home where he can be given the time and space to adjust at his own pace. Lastly, Hiccup has a heart murmur and dilated cardiomyopathy with pulmonary edema. He will require lifelong medication for his condition. If you're searching for a loyal companion who's as sweet as he is spunky, look no further than Hiccup. He's ready to embark on a new adventure with a loving forever home that will cherish him for the wonderful dog that he is. Before emailing- please read: - Yes, this dog is available for adoption - The adoption fee for Hiccup is $365 - Apply at c2cnd.org - The adoption fee covers their age appropriate shots, microchip, deworming, spay/neuter, and any other medical expenses while in our care. - Local adopters only. Due to our thorough adoption process including home visits, we limit our adoptions to local families in the greater Charlotte area. - If you have any additional questions, email us at dogs@c2cnd.org and we will respond as soon as possible!

Story
Oh how Chase is just the most adorable Jack Russel/ Chihuaha mix! This love bug is 2yrs old, neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. Chase is a very sweet boy and dog friendly. He would do better with dogs bigger than him. He loves to play with his foster buddy who's a Golden Retriever! Because he can play rough (typical Jack Russel) other little dogs might not like his play style. Chase is true to the Jack Russel breed with having a lot of energy. But once he gets some exercise he settles right down. We will require a fenced in yard for Chase so he can run around. Also, if you're a walker, that's a great way to get a dogs enery out! If you think this sweet boy would be a great fit for your family, please fill out the adoption application on our website www.pawsitiveimpactncdogrescue.org ##1744393##

Trixie is a very happy girl who would love a home with lots of activity!  Her ideal home would have a fenced yard to allow her to run and get that exercise in or if no fence, someone who would take her on regular nice long walks She is curious all the time! Trixie loves people and would do great with a doggy friend to play with! It's always best to bring another dog to the meet and greet to be sure it’s a good match! Trixie is a real snuggle-bug who loves napping in your lap AND even slept a couple nights in the bed (like a queen) with Foster Mom and Dad. This sweet girl would love a lap to call her own and a family to enjoy!     Applications can be filled out at www.piedmontanimalrescue.com/adopt!  Petfinder and Adopt-A-Pet does NOT send us Applications. Story
I’m Frito, a rat terrier mix who is looking for a new chapter in my young life.I’m a small, energetic guy, about 23 pounds, and people say I’m spunky and funny. I came to the Humane Society of York County from York County Animal Services. My estimated birth date is May 2022.I need some time to gain trust when I meet new people. But once I get to know you, I really show you the love!I’m a very good leash walker, and I know “sit.” I have a side job at HSYC modeling costumes, too!I need to be the only pet in my forever home, and I would do best in a home without young children. If you’re interested in a smaller pup with an energetic personality, let’s meet!If you wish to meet me, please call the Humane Society of York County at (803)-802-0902 to schedule an appointment. Please refer to our website for adoption requirements: https://humanesocietyofyorkcounty.org/adopt/adoption-process.htmlThank you for your support.
