Story
Meet Honey
Honey was named because she is as sweet as Honey! This young pup is an absolute
love! Honey was at risk of euthanasia due to over-crowding. We rescued Honey, her
mate Scout and another beauty named Dot. They are all safe at our no-kill shelter.
We fell in love with Honey from the moment we saw her interactions with people, other
dogs, and kitties! She loves them all. Honey is a gorgeous mixed breed – maybe
Boston, maybe Jack Russell, it’s so hard to know. Honey is on the small side at eight
months she’s only 31 lbs. She may top out at 35 lbs, but she is small and compact. She
has a gorgeous fawn colored short coat, tall-standing ears, an alert and intelligent face
and an athletic physique. She is stunning!
Honey is friendly, affectionate, silly, fun-loving, calm, quiet, gentle, athletic, smart and
sooooo sweet. Honey LOVES people, dogs and kitties. Every interaction is fun and she
has an open and sociable personality. She walks well on a leash. She loves hiking, and
playing with toys. Honey loves her mate Scout and will be adopted with her. Honey likes to
travel and hike. She’d do great for those adventures out to wineries and cafes. She’ll
love to curl up with her people on a comfy couch or a sunny porch. Hard to believe that
someone let Honey go, because she is a keeper. We are smitten with this girl and know
that you will be too.

Resident animals are either owner relinquished rescued from area Animal Controls or high kill shelters. The facility usually is operating at capacity with a list of animals waiting for space to open.
