**Please note this is pet is currently out of town pet but we will transport this pet to Portland for you when adopted. All fees listed include transport fees.** Looking for a new friend? Buddy can be your go-to best buddy! This young pup is athletic, funny, playful, friendly, and great with other dogs. He's an outgoing dog who loves to run around and play, but he's also perfectly content to relax and take it easy — especially with his favorite humans. If you're looking for a fun-loving medium-sized dog, look no further than Buddy Rich! He is built to bring joy and laughter to your life, and he'll always be up for a game of fetch or a walk in the park. Ask us about your next best Buddy today — you won't regret it! Buddy is a little over a year old and around 37 pounds. Interested in becoming this pup’s forever home? For immediate consideration, please fill out our online adoption application: http://www.friendswithfourpaws.org/adoption-form.html This is the first step in our process, and we DO NOT go any further without an application. If there are multiple dogs that you are interested in, please fill out an application for each dog. This does not include bonded pairs — for them, one application will be fine. Because we have different adoption coordinators working with different dogs, your application may be missed if you only apply once. Find more adoptable pets, news, and information on Instagram @friendswithfourpaws or our Facebook page Friends with Four Paws. We put a lot of time and energy into processing our adoptions finding our fur babies the most loving homes. Please do not apply if you are not serious about adopting. We are so excited to work with you to find you a new forever friend, and Buddy the perfect forever home, and appreciate you working with us. Our adoption fee is $525. This includes their spay/neuter surgery, full (age-appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention, and travel expenses. All our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. We have foster homes in the NJ/NY area waiting to receive their fosters. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for their transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed.

Story
Meet Ellie — your daily dose of sunshine, laughter, and pure joy wrapped up in one adorable little terrier body. Ellie is a 2 ½-year-old Jack Russell Terrier/Rat Terrier mix who lives life at full speed and with her whole heart. From the moment you meet her, you’ll notice her bright, happy energy and the way she seems to make everything feel just a little bit more fun. She’s the kind of dog who wakes up excited for the day, ready to play, love, and soak up every bit of attention she can get. Look how adorable she is in her YouTube video now https://youtu.be/y9AcxeTtH88?si=HAW1GSZ0XWRIMbAF This girl absolutely loves love. Whether she’s rolling right into your lap for belly rubs, leaning into you for pets, or happily dancing around to make you smile (yes—she can actually do a cute little dance!), Ellie thrives on connection with her people. She isn’t just affectionate—she’s fully devoted to being your happy little shadow and your built-in source of entertainment. Ellie is also a playful, energetic spirit who is always ready for action. Toys, zoomies, games, exploring—if it sounds fun, Ellie is already there. She’s currently in a foster home with multiple other dogs and is very social, especially when it comes to playtime. She loves having dog friends who are just as excited about playing as she is. In fact, she would do best with a canine companion who can match her enthusiasm and keep up with her playful personality. She just gets so excited to have fun that she can come on a little strong with more laid-back dogs—but it all comes from a place of pure joy and eagerness. Because of her social nature, Ellie would thrive either as: • The only dog in the home, soaking up all the love and attention for herself, or • With a playful, high-energy dog who will happily romp around with her What makes Ellie extra special is her personality. She’s not just cute (though she absolutely is with that scruffy face and bright eyes)—she’s funny. She has this silly, expressive way about her that keeps you smiling. Between her little dance moves, her playful antics, and her love of flopping dramatically into your lap for attention, she brings so much life and laughter wherever she goes. At the end of the day, Ellie is a dog who just wants to love big, play hard, and be right by your side through it all. She’s looking for a home that will embrace her joyful energy, appreciate her goofy charm, and give her the active, loving life she deserves. If you’re looking for a dog who will keep you smiling, keep you moving, and remind you every single day how fun life can be—Ellie is your girl. Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life? **Now fostered in Truxton, NY** If you are looking for a tiny queen with a spunky personality and amazing agility skills, then look no further than our bitty friend, Bambi! We believe Bambi is a chihuahua mix who is almost 6 years old and approximately 30 pounds. Due to her being a rescue, age and breed cannot be guaranteed. She’s a certified Texas Special, a mix of random breeds that created the best dog! Rescue is the best breed! Watch Bambi in action in here: https://youtu.be/2_n3tL3izY8?si=2MCNVAV5GmXcfkav So one thing about Bambi is that she is QUEEN B. She likes all the love and affection to go straight to her. Belly rubs? Hers. Ear scratches? Hers. Treats? All hers! Bambi can be a bit particular about her dog friends, but with the right match, she absolutely loves to play! She’s all about play wrestling, chase games, and bringing bouncy, playful energy to the yard. Whether she’s tumbling with a buddy or zooming across the grass in a game of tag, she’s happiest when the vibes are silly and full of fun. She does best with confident, well-matched dogs who enjoy rough-and-tumble play... think body bumps, wrestling, and energetic chase... but who also know when to take breaks. Watching her with the right playmate is pure entertainment! If you’re looking for a pup who can bring excitement and playful energy (with the right match), Bambi is your girl! If you don't have other dogs, no need to worry! Bambi's love is boundless and her personality is out of this world that she will be all you need. Bambi also did great when she met some cats on the property! She wanted to sniff them and tried to initiate play, lol. If she were to be in a home with a cat, it would definitely need to be a dog savvy feline who doesn’t mind the occasional puppy sniffs! She spent few days in her temporary foster home with a kitty and she did wonderfully! She did want to play with her new feline friend, so Bambi may not be every kitties cup of tea. But she sure is ours! She is a smaller girl who would do well in an apartment or house setting. But it’s important to note that when you offer her treats, she does say “please” in a loud way. So if you are in an apartment, thicker walls or cool neighbors would be best. She hasn’t been around small children but she has been fine around teens! We believe she would do well in a home with dog savvy older children who would enjoy spending time playing fetch and other games with her! If you have a young child and are curious to know how she is, please feel free to let us know and we will check it out for you! It’s very clear that Bambi is a super smart girl! She has the potential to do so many cool things if you spend the time to try to teach her! The staff at 3lp couldn’t stop raving about how people oriented she is! We can’t forget to tell you— the other cool thing about Bambi is how quick she is at learning tricks! The behavior team here at Three Little Pitties believes that she would make an excellent dog to train for trick sports and other cool games! You will see in her video how good she is at going after toys! She is very affectionate and will look forward to couch cuddling moments with you! She has the best little smile and the most scratchable ears! She is going to make someone out there very happy! Does Bambi sound like your girl? Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress! Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission! Story
Looking for a professional shadow who is paid exclusively in belly rubs and forehead kisses? Meet Piper, the 23 lb bundle of joy who is ready to turn your home into a nonstop cuddle fest! Piper is the definition of a happy go lucky girl who arrived on the scene with zero fears and a tail that never stops wagging. She is a total social butterfly when it comes to humans, offering up a silly, sweet personality that is impossible not to fall in love with. Although she may take a moment to warm up, the wait is absolutely worth it. Whether she’s showing off her goofy side or leaning in for some serious snuggle time, Piper’s main goal in life is to be wherever you are. She’s the kind of dog who makes every day feel like a celebration just by being in the room! Watch Piper’s video and see those happy wags in action! https://youtu.be/PQWHyZt9a7k We suspect this little lady is a Rat Terrier mix, weighing in at a perfectly portable 23 lbs. She has a coat like a canvas; deep, dark brown patches are set against a bright white background, with tiny, delicate speckles dusted throughout like a finishing touch from a painter's brush. She is the ultimate companion small enough to join you on all your errands and easy to tuck under your arm, but sturdy enough for a good walk in the park! Of course, as with all our rescue superstars, her breed mix is our best educated guess, but her 100% sweetheart status is a absolute fact! Piper is what we call a 'velcro dog' in the best possible way. She doesn’t just want to be in the same house as you; she wants to be your right hand gal! She might not be able to read the GPS (mapping is hard when you don’t have thumbs!), but she is the most polite passenger you’ll ever meet. Piper is a total pro in the car who settles right in and just enjoys the 'vibe' of a good road trip playlist. While some dogs crave the rugged Great Outdoors, Piper is a homebody at heart who prefers the climate controlled life of indoor lounging. If you’re looking for a companion to binge watch your favorite shows or a quiet partner to hang out with while you work from home, Piper is your girl. How does Piper feel about other dogs? Well, while she isn't much for rough-and-tumble wrestling, she’s more than happy to coexist peacefully with other pups and will even graciously share a prime sun spot for a joint sunbathing session. She doesn’t really play with other dogs because she truthfully prefers hanging out with humans over her canines. She’d be a fantastic match for a household with another laid back dog who respects her space or a home where she can truly thrive as your one and only. Whether she’s lounging near a furry friend or soaking up all the human attention as the star of the show. Piper is a devoted shadow who finds her greatest joy in being the heart of your home. A feline roommate? Piper actually gave us the deets on how she feels about cats, and she’s decided she’d prefer a home without one! She met a cat recently and thought they were very interesting little critters, maybe even a bit too interesting. Piper’s looking for a home where she can be the undisputed star of the show and keep all those forehead kisses for herself! If there was an Olympic sport for cuddling on the couch, Piper would be taking home the gold every single time. She is essentially a professional roommate. Here’s why she’s the ultimate houseguest : • Crate Queen: Piper is 100% crate trained. She treats her crate like her own private VIP lounge it’s her me time sanctuary where she goes to recharge her cuteness batteries. • Leash Legend: Taking her for a walk is a total breeze. She’s a dream on the leash, making every stroll a stress free adventure. • The World is Her Buffet (of Smells): While she loves her naps, she’s also a little explorer! She lives for "sniffari" sessions where she can get out, wag her tail, and capture every single interesting scent the neighborhood has to offer. Because of her chill vibes and manageable size, Piper is 100% apartment friendly. Whether you live in a cozy studio or a house with a sprawling yard, Piper just wants to be wherever you are. As long as there’s a soft spot on the couch and a human to shower with affection, she’ll be the happiest girl in the world. Piper is a silly, cuddly, and endlessly devoted companion who just wants to find her "person." She’s ready to bring a lifetime of smiles and lean in hugs to a very lucky family. This darling boy is a total heart stealer who is ready to blossom into your most devoted companion! He is the definition of a "hang out" dog once he knows you’re his person, he is all about being by your side and soaking up the love. Whether you’re relaxing with a book or moving through your daily routine, he’s happiest just being part of the pack and following your lead with a wagging tail. Want to see those adorable ears in action? Check out his adoption video below to see him showing off his sweet personality! https://youtu.be/2MVHPb3dVqU The Mystery Mix Perfection We like to think of him as a "designer rescue" blend part mystery, part magic, and 100% adorable! We believe Jack Jack is Jack Russel Terrier mix, he has that endearing look that makes everyone stop and say "aww." He is only 22lbs! A manageable size, compact enough to be your favorite travel buddy but big enough to give the world's best hugs. He’s already mastered the art of the afternoon nap; he just needs your living room to make it official. He is currently thriving in a foster home where he’s learning all about the good life! Jack Jack shows us that he is a total pro when it comes to domestic bliss. He’s been a gentleman in his crate and handles car rides like a seasoned traveler, quietly taking in the sights. Being in a foster home has allowed his gentle, sensitive side to really come forward, proving he's ready for a family of his own. When it comes to other dogs, this boy is a total rockstar! He is incredibly polite and respectful, making him a dream addition to a home with existing pups. He has a "go with the flow" attitude. While he’d love a home with a low to medium energy buddy to show him the ropes, he can also thrive as your one and only, soaking up all the undivided attention himself! Curious about how he feels about feline friends? He’s been a total gentleman! He is very respectful of their space and has shown a wonderful ability to just relax and coexist. We even caught him lounging on the couch right near a kitty friend without a care in the world! Since every cat has its own unique "cattitude," we’d love to see how he does in a sleepover with a feline to make sure they’re destined to be best buds. This sweet boy is a versatile champion who would be absolutely thrilled in an apartment! He doesn’t need a massive yard to be content; he just wants a quiet neighborhood where he can sniff the roses at his own pace. One of his cutest traits? He is an A+ student when snacks are involved and is a complete gentleman during mealtime! In short, he is a gentle, resilient soul who is ready to reward his forever family with a lifetime of unwavering devotion and soft, happy tail wags. He’s a true treasure just waiting to be found!

Story
While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded. It doesn’t stop there!
Story
If you’re looking for a tiny dog with a big love for people, Lilly is already practicing her happy dance for you. She doesn’t just like humans… She absolutely adores them. Lilly meets people like she waited her whole life for new best friends. She jumps up gently for affection, rolls onto her back for belly rubs, and pops right back up just to ask for more. She is bubbly, loving, and thrives on attention in the sweetest way. If there’s a person nearby, Lilly is making sure she gets her hello in. You have to watch her adoption video to see just how joyful and people focused she is! https://youtu.be/ZqT8F2L5pUg Lilly is the ultimate people lover. She’s the kind of dog who wants to be where you are. She leans into affection, melts during touch, and happily soaks up every bit of love you give her. She’s affectionate without being overwhelming, and her gentle little hops for attention are completely heart melting. We believe Lilly may be a soft, fluffy little German Shepherd mix but as with any rescue, that’s always our best guess. What we know for sure is that she’s 34 pounds of pure sweetness wrapped up in one adorable, compact package. She has that shepherd sparkle and loyal heart, just in a smaller, easier to handle size. At 34 lbs, she’s sturdy enough for adventures but petite enough to manage with ease. She walks nicely overall and may just need a little leash polishing nothing her smart, eager to please self can’t handle. Lilly greets other dogs politely and appropriately. A true friend to all, she is comfortable with dogs of all shapes and sizes. She has a wonderful temperament that allows her to thrive. Lilly would do best with a medium to low energy dog who will give her space as she settles in. She is also perfectly happy to thrive as your one and only dog. This sweet cutie patootie girl is officially ready to find her forever home! Is Lilly a fan of feline friends? Well, she is terrified of them. Maybe she has never met a cat, maybe she met a mean one that made an impression- either way Lilly would like to pass on cats. Lilly could thrive in either a home with a yard or an apartment. She’s small, adaptable, and easy to walk. She would make a wonderful family dog and would especially shine in a home that includes her in daily life, outings, and adventures. Anywhere there are people to love, Lilly will fit right in. She’s a social butterfly who never meets a stranger, and she’s looking for a forever family to shower with infinite tail wags. If you have a pocket full of treats, you’ll have a best friend for life! Lilly is so ready to settle into your heart and start your grand adventure together. If you’re ready for a tiny best friend who will greet you like you’re the most important person in the world… Lilly is waiting. Story
*fostered in Bellingham, WA* Huckle is a sweet little 2 yr old terrier mix looking for his new home now that he has made it to the PNW! He is a very special boy, once he trusts that you are his person, he is all love! Huck is goofy, loves curling up with his person and following you around, and being your tiny best friend. He’s potty trained, crate trained, great in the car, good on leash and enjoys short outdoor adventures—sunny strolls, a little beach exploration, or simply sniffing around the yard. He loves to zoom around in the tall grass and bounce to his hearts content. His ideal home would be a single person who he can have all to himself. He would love a doggy companion and a yard to run in. He is currently being fostered with another dog and cat and does very well with both. This little frolicker isn’t suited for a busy household with small kiddos, but once he is outdoors he comes alive with joy! He loves walks, exploring, and does great in the car. He really is the perfect dog for the right person, he is calm, affectionate, easy to life with, low energy indoors, and happy to snooze on your lap while you work. If you’re looking for a loyal, ride-or-die sidekick who will bring endless love, snuggles, and gentle companionship, Huckle is your boy.
