Story
Quick Facts  Name: Mongshell Age: 1 year old Gender: Female Neutered/Sprayed: Yes Breed: Terrier Mix Color: Beige Weight: 9kg My Story Hi, I’m Mongshell, a sweet and playful 1-year-old Terrier mix with a soft beige coat. I weigh 9kg and have a heart full of love to share. My journey began in a difficult situation—I was rescued from a mountain beekeeping farm where I had been tied up and abandoned. Despite my rough start, I’ve grown into a lively and affectionate pup, ready to find my forever family. My Personality I’m a gentle soul with a touch of shyness when meeting new people, but I warm up quickly with the help of tasty treats. Once I feel comfortable, I’ll happily roll over to show my belly as a sign of trust. I adore toys—chewing and chasing them brings me so much joy! I also have a quirky love for shoes and slippers, so my future family might want to keep those safely tucked away. I’m happiest when I’m playing, exploring, or snuggling with my loved ones. Social SkillsWith people, I’m initially cautious, but I quickly come around with some patience and kindness. I enjoy being held and love receiving cuddles from those I trust. With other dogs, I’m a peace-loving pup who gets along well with friends of all sizes. I enjoy meeting new furry pals and often look to them for guidance in unfamiliar situations. If another dog gets upset, I’ll politely walk away to avoid conflict. As for cats, I haven’t had much experience with them yet, so I’m not sure how I’d react. Energy and ActivitiesI’m an energetic pup who loves outdoor adventures and playtime with other dogs. After a day of running around, I settle down nicely at home and enjoy some quiet time. While I’m curious and love exploring, I feel nervous around busy streets or loud noises, so I prefer quieter walking routes. Training and HabitsI’m smart, food-motivated, and eager to learn. I’m fully outdoor potty-trained and try my best to communicate my needs. I’m crate-trained and stay calm and relaxed in my kennel. While I rarely bark, I might let out a few barks when meeting someone new, but I settle down quickly once reassured. My Ideal HomeI’m searching for a family that will embrace my playful, energetic nature and understand my slightly shy side. I’d thrive in a home where I can play with other dogs or receive plenty of love and attention from my humans. If you’re looking for a loyal companion to share walks, playtime, and cuddles, I could be the perfect addition to your family. Special NotesI absolutely adore toys, especially ones I can chew or chase.I have a playful obsession with shoes and slippers—be prepared to keep them safe!I’m peaceful and avoid conflict with other dogs. With love, patience, and tasty treats, I’ll flourish as your loyal and loving companion. ##2288087##

Story
Quick Facts  Name: Pauline Age: 1 year old Gender: Male Neutered/Sprayed: Yes Breed: Terrier Mix Color: White Weight: 10kg Hi, I’m Pauline! I’m a cheerful and lovable one-year-old Terrier mix with a fluffy white coat and a heart full of affection. Weighing around 10kg, I’m an energetic and playful pup who’s always ready for a fun adventure. My journey started in a shelter in Masan, where my mother gave birth to me and my four siblings. Unfortunately, she was too sick to survive, leaving us behind to fend for ourselves. But now, I’m here, hoping to find a forever home that will give me all the love I never got as a baby. My PersonalityI’m an incredibly sweet and good-natured dog who loves people and enjoys making new friends. While I may act a little shy at first, it doesn’t take long before I start wagging my tail and leaning in for pets. I’m a bit of a goofball, often acting silly and playful, but I have a heart as pure as gold. I may not be the smartest pup in the world, but what I lack in wit, I make up for in love and loyalty. I don’t have an aggressive bone in my body—I approach everything and everyone with curiosity and kindness. Social SkillsWith people, I might act reserved for the first few moments, but once I get a sense of warmth and safety, I’m quick to let my guard down. I even let strangers pick me up without a fuss! With other dogs, I’m friendly and easygoing, though I tend to avoid overly energetic or pushy dogs. I like to observe before engaging, and while I may not always be the first to initiate play, I enjoy the company of calm and gentle dogs. I haven’t had any experience with cats yet, so I’m not sure how I’d react. Energy and Activities I have a fairly high energy level, meaning I thrive on outdoor playtime and exercise. Running around, chasing toys, and exploring new places make me happy! However, since I haven’t had much experience with structured walks, I still get nervous about new environments. Sometimes, if I encounter something unfamiliar, I may freeze or lie down until I feel safe again. With consistent training and encouragement, I’ll gain confidence and become a great walking buddy in no time. Training and HabitsI’m still learning the ropes when it comes to structured training, but I’m eager to please and respond well to positive reinforcement. I do have a habit of barking when I want attention or when I meet new people, but I settle down quickly once I realize everything is okay. I also have a bit of a goofy, clueless side, so I need a patient family who will guide me with gentle encouragement rather than strict discipline. While I may not pick up commands as quickly as some dogs, I make up for it with my affectionate and charming personality. My Ideal HomeI’d love to be in a home where my playful and gentle nature is appreciated. I’d do well with a family who understands that I’m still learning and needs a bit of guidance when it comes to new experiences. A home with another friendly and calm dog would be great for me, but I can also thrive as the only dog if I get enough love and attention. If you’re looking for a silly, affectionate, and lovable pup who will bring endless joy into your life, I just might be the perfect match for you! Special NotesI’m an incredibly sweet and innocent pup who approaches the world with curiosity and warmth. I may be a bit goofy and not the most street-smart, but my heart is pure, and I’m eager to love and be loved. I sometimes lack awareness of boundaries, so I may need gentle guidance in learning proper manners. With patience, kindness, and lots of cuddles, I’ll become a devoted and loving companion. My playful nature and love for toys make me a fun addition to any home, and I promise to bring plenty of laughter and happiness into your life! ##2293934##

Story
Gucci was found as a stray living on the streets in South Korea. It wasn't safe so a local rescue took him into foster. Upon examination, the vet took an x-ray of his back left. The determined it was an old injury and it helped on its own. Sometimes when Gucci plays with other dogs for a long time, he may hold his leg up and it just means he needs to rest. Gucci is a mini Jindo mix, male, 6 years old, 17 lbs, friendly to everyone including kids, playful with dogs, can be cat tested, and simply needs a family of his own. Story
Haneul was found as a puppy along with his brother Woozoo and 12 other siblings all alone. It was immediately determined that they were all dumped and taken to a local shelter in South Korea. It wasn't safe for puppies to live in a shelter so a rescue pulled them all and placed them in foster. Haneul has been living in foster with his brother Woozoo. It would be wonderful if they are adopted together but that's rare to happen. Haneul would need another confident small dog in the home as he needs a buddy as he is shy. Haneul is male, 4.5 years old, friendly with treats as shy at first, loves walks, and needs a very patient owner in a quiet setting. If interested, please email dcdgavel@gmail.com for an adoption application.

Story
Mila is a 2 year old terrier/hound mix (likely JRT & Beagle) weighing approx 27 lbs. She loves her humans very much and is very playful and affectionate with them. Mila did not start her life off in a bad way but she did miss out on training, boundaries and socialization. For this reason, Mila has spent time with a professional trainer who has fallen in love with her. Unfortunately, there are limits to the number of dogs a person can have! She loves the outdoors and play time! She’s a very active girl and would do great with a dominant larger dog, she can be too rambunctious for a small dog. Mila is an excellent girl at home when you have to go out, just make sure you have the perfect window for her to neighborhood watch from! She is obviously a high energy girl but likes nothing more than to be tucked in beside her person on the couch!! She gives great hugs and kisses!! Mila will require an experienced owner and home without children under the age of 7. She loves kids but is still learning boundaries. Her adopter will be able to take advantage of some professional advise from her trainer in order to keep Mila improving. Training consistency will be key to keeping Mila on track with her progression. Mila is currently being fostered in Newmarket, ON. If you are interested in adopting Mila, please complete an application on our website: https://www.jrnc.org/adoption-application

Story
Currently in Vancouver!!! Meet Macy, a delightful 5-year-old spayed female terrier mix with an adorable brown and white coat, weighing in at 6.5kg. She’s the perfect combination of charm and tranquility, and her personality is sure to steal your heart. Macy might be a bit shy at first, but offer her a treat, and she’ll warm up in no time—letting you pet her and even showing her belly! While she’s not a fan of sudden movements or loud noises from children under 13, she’s otherwise gentle and approachable. She’s even comfortable being picked up when cradled properly. When it comes to other dogs, Macy is polite and curious, happily greeting them but preferring to stick to herself rather than joining in on rough-and-tumble play. She’s more at ease with dogs her size or smaller and tends to shy away from big or overly energetic ones. Even when provoked, Macy is the peacekeeper, quietly stepping away and showing little interest in canine drama. On walks, her focus is fully on her human, even when cats cross her path! Macy has a wonderfully low energy level and loves nothing more than relaxing at home. She’s a dream on walks, never pulling on the leash and happily matching her pace to yours. She’s quiet as a mouse, doesn’t guard her food, and is perfectly comfortable in a crate. While car rides can be a bit daunting for her, she’ll do fine if carried into the vehicle. Plus, she’s 100% potty trained for outdoor living—no mess, no stress! Macy’s foster journey has been incredible. Having started as a timid soul, she’s spent six months with a trainer and has made tremendous strides in overcoming her fears of people. Now, she confidently shows her belly to strangers and enjoys affection from those around her. She knows basic commands like “come,” “sit,” and “paw,” and while she’s calm at home, she’s always ready for a cuddle or a stroll with her favorite humans. Maxy is great with grooming too—nail trimming, bathing, and even teeth brushing are no problem! If you’re looking for a mellow, sweet companion who’s ready to love and be loved, Macy might just be the perfect match for you!
