Story
"MISTY" is a KOKONI/JACK RUSSELL MIX about 2 years old and weighs approx. 6 kg or 12 pounds. Anastasia found her while going to the market, just walking on the side of a highly trafficked road, right by the exit to the highway. She immediately picked her up - thanking the Heavens the little dog didn’t follow the way leading to the big artery. After a brief visit with our vet for all the proper exams and a clean health bill she brought her to our sanctuary, where jolly "MISTY" fit right in with all our guests. "MISTY" proved very social with animals (dogs and cats) and people. She is inquisitive, playful and fearless. She loves to play with our puppies and then come to the volunteers for her share of pets and cuddles. "MISTY" is very intelligent and quite food oriented, a combination that makes her easily trainable. We have fully vetted, vaccinated, micro-chipped and spayed "MISTY" all the while making sure she gets housebroken and leash trained. "MISTY" would be happy in any sort of family setting. We were scared and out of time, but rescuers stepped in just when we needed them most. Now we’re both safe, loved, and ready to start our new lives—and I can’t wait to find my very own forever family.   MY HEALTH Spayed & no known health issues All vaccinations up-to-date   MY PERSONALITY II’m a little shy when meeting new people, but I warm up quickly and reveal my sweet, affectionate side. I’m such a lovable pup—you’ll notice my sweetness right away!   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I’m a bit shy at first, but I quickly warm up with treats and gentle pets. You can even pick me up once I feel comfortable! · With Dogs: I enjoy meeting new dog friends, but I like to take my time before jumping into play. I usually get along best with dogs my size, and if another dog is being rude, I simply walk away from the drama.   · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown. A cat test can be arranged upon request.   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a moderate energy level — I enjoy my time outdoors exploring and playing, and then I’m happy to settle down and relax indoors.   TRAINING & HABITS I usually walk well on leash, though I can pull sometimes and get scared by loud noises, which makes me freeze. I walk best in quieter areas and am still learning leash manners. I’m a small Jack Russell Terrier mix girl, weighing about 6kg. I may be tiny, but my heart is incredibly big. My sister and I were rescued after wandering the streets at a very young age. Even though life was tough in the beginning, I never let it take away my bright spirit or my warm, loving nature. I love other dogs and make friends easily. Meeting new furry buddies is one of my favorite things, and I’m always gentle and friendly. I adore people even more — if our eyes meet, my tail starts wagging before I can even think about it! I just can’t help wanting to be close to you. I’m also a great walking companion. I match your pace beautifully and enjoy taking in the world around me with calm curiosity. Walks with me are peaceful, happy moments. I’m still a puppy, so I’m learning my potty manners at home. But don’t worry — I’m smart, eager to please, and I pay close attention to my humans. Hi, I'm Vanilla! 🐶✨ A little lovebug with a big heart, ready to start a brand new chapter — maybe with you? I'm a 2-year-old girl, full of energy, love, and second chances. I didn’t always have it easy — I was left behind at an oyster factory in Tongyeong, forgotten and alone. Even after having four puppies, no one looked out for me… but that’s all in the past now. I was rescued, and ever since, I've been learning how beautiful life can be when you’re loved. Now I know how to trust, how to play, and most of all — how to love back. I’ve even picked up some smart tricks like “sit,” “paw,” and “go to your house!” Not bad, right? I’m super friendly and absolutely adore people — men and women alike. I haven’t met many young children yet, and since I’m pretty bouncy and energetic, I might do best with older kids who can match my vibe. Other dogs? LOVE them. I get excited to meet new furry friends and will happily introduce myself first! I haven’t met any cats yet, so I can’t say how we’d get along, but I don’t have any aggression or prey drive — I’m more about snuggles and zoomies than anything else. I’m still working on leash training, and I’m not totally used to living indoors yet, but I’m a quick learner. If you show me the way, I’ll follow. I’m a good girl with my barking, too — I might bark when someone new comes in or if I’m really excited, but if you say “no,” I usually settle down quickly. I love being touched, hugged, and cuddled, especially by women. I’ll even give you gentle hugs to show you how much I care. With male guardians, I’m respectful — if you’re not in the mood for snuggles, I’ll understand and give you space. I enjoy toys but I don’t destroy things in the house, and I’m not possessive over food or toys either. Sharing is caring, right? Health-wise, I’m in great shape — no major illnesses in my past, just a whole lot of resilience and a heart full of love. Now all that’s missing is a forever family. A warm home. 🏠 Currently in a Vancouver foster home I’m a small Jack Russell Terrier mix girl, around 6kg, with a beautiful leopard-patterned coat that everyone says is super charming. I was rescued while wandering the streets with my sister Seri, but even after all that, I’ve grown into one of the happiest, warmest little puppies you’ll ever meet. I get along wonderfully with other dogs and adjust quickly to new places and new friends. I’m very affectionate with people, too — call my name and I’ll run right over, or I might quietly tuck myself right beside your leg, just wanting to be close. Walks are my absolute favorite! I’m full of curiosity, so I love sniffing around, exploring new sights, and enjoying every moment outside. Even with all my excitement, I don’t pull or rush ahead, so walking with me is always pleasant and easy. Since I’m still a puppy, I’m learning my potty training skills, but I’m smart and quick to pick things up — I’ll get the hang of it with gentle, consistent teaching. I may be small, but I have a big, warm presence that melts hearts the moment you meet me. I’m waiting for the family who will love me forever and let me share my bright, curious energy with them.
