Story
Gyver is a good natured, gregarious, happy-go-lucky 30 lb, 6 year old Jack Russell/Chunky pooch (Pug?). My foster parents love me! I get along great with people, older calm kids, dogs, & cats. I'm loyal, friendly, loving, well behaved, display good manners, & listen fairly well to commands, T matches my energy level to people, not food or toy possessive, no prey drive, does not react to dogs I see from the car, loves car rides, loves walks, & likes being groomed, I truly enjoy walking on the beach & in quieter places where he's able to sniff & explore the area. Hi does not like people or rambunctious/bigger dogs who invade his 'space', & will bark at them. Foster Mom has been teaching Gyver to ignore approaching such dogs, & rewards him with a treat when he is successful! Gyver is fully vetted, neutered, vaccinated, de-wormed, micro-chipped, & has a negative 4dx blood test (no heartworm or tick diseases). He is currently on flea & tick prevention. He would thrive best in an active calm home, with a backyard, & where there isn't a lot of chaos. He just wants to be loved and give love. Interested? Email Sue: sgaskell63@gmail.com. Adoption fee: $550.

Story
Hello! My name is Beau!I`ve been patiently waiting for a new home since March. I`m an energetic fellow looking for an energetic family that has the time for play and training! I am so smart, I love treats and will do almost anything for a good reward. I do get stressed and bark when I see dogs on walks, or exciting things like bikes. Being a Jack Russell Terrier, I come with springs in my feet and like to spring up when I get excited. I`m doing well with training and am excited to join a family that will keep up my training to help me be a happy and comfortable little man. If you enjoy agility or any other dog sports, I am definitely the dog for you!MY IDEAL HOME INVOLVES…CHILDREN: No young children. Teenagers may be ok.OTHER DOGS: No, other dogs make me feel stressed.CATS: No, given my high prey drive.FIRST-TIME DOG OWNERS: No, I would do best with someone who has previous dog experience.FENCED-IN YARD: Required, unless it`s a rural property.HOUSING ENVIRONMENT: No apartment buildings due to my reactions on leash.SOMEONE HOME MOST OF THE DAY: Not necessarily.SOME OTHER THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT ME…ACTIVITY LEVEL: High.HOUSE-TRAINED: Yes.If you think I could be a good match for your home, click the `adopt me` button to apply!FOSTER ME! I’m excited to be selected as part of the Paisley Project and I’m looking for a foster home! If your home environment matches what I’m looking for based on the information above, please consider applying to foster me by copying and pasting the following link to fill out the questionnaire: https://guelphhumane.ca/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?action=frm_forms_preview&form=7y88o.The Paisley Project aims to match selected, long-stay animals at GHS with fosters that can provide a home that gradually introduces them to the everyday experiences of life as a pet. Fosters will offer the routine, structure and stability needed to help get animals ready for their new family. Learn more at https://guelphhumane.ca/the-paisley-project/.

Jack Russell Terrier Hound (Unknown Type)

Female, 3 yrs 5 mos
Toronto, ON
Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)

Good with dogs, Not good with cats, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Mila is a 2 year old terrier/hound mix (likely JRT & Beagle) weighing approx 27 lbs. She loves her humans very much and is very playful and affectionate with them. Mila did not start her life off in a bad way but she did miss out on training, boundaries and socialization. For this reason, Mila has spent time with a professional trainer who has fallen in love with her. Unfortunately, there are limits to the number of dogs a person can have! She loves the outdoors and play time! She’s a very active girl and would do great with a dominant larger dog, she can be too rambunctious for a small dog. Mila is an excellent girl at home when you have to go out, just make sure you have the perfect window for her to neighborhood watch from! She is obviously a high energy girl but likes nothing more than to be tucked in beside her person on the couch!! She gives great hugs and kisses!! Mila will require an experienced owner and home without children under the age of 7. She loves kids but is still learning boundaries. Her adopter will be able to take advantage of some professional advise from her trainer in order to keep Mila improving. Training consistency will be key to keeping Mila on track with her progression. Mila is currently being fostered in Newmarket, ON. If you are interested in adopting Mila, please complete an application on our website: https://www.jrnc.org/adoption-application
