Story
Kelvin (6/2/25) was born on St Thomas in conditions that were less than adequate for newborn pups. Kelvin is a classic “coconut retriever” JRT/terrier mix. Mom and Dad are both around 35 pounds. Kelvin has come out of his shell and is doing wonderful in this foster home. He loves being with other pups, is learning housebreaking skills and leash walking and loves toys! He is scheduled for his next set of vaccines and neutering. We are now accepting applications for his adoption. https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/PAPS/Dog Pet Search kL #3301 Washington PA 15301

Story
Meet Sassy: A Sweet Soul Looking for Her Brave Companion Sassy is a 5-month-old pit mixed who is currently looking for a patient heart to call her own. While her name suggests a bold personality, Sassy is actually a gentle, observant girl who finds the big world a little bit daunting right now. She is in the beautiful "learning to trust" phase of her life, where every small victory—a tail wag, a hand sniff, or a brave step forward—is a cause for celebration. ### Her Ideal Home Sassy isn't looking for a high-traffic, loud environment. Instead, she dreams of a sanctuary where she can blossom at her own speed. • The Power of a Pack: Sassy requires a home with another confident, friendly dog. She relies heavily on "social buffering," looking to her canine siblings to show her that humans are kind and that the vacuum cleaner isn't actually a monster. • Patience is Key: Her new family should understand that "trust is earned, not given." She needs humans who are happy to sit on the floor with her, offer treats without pressure, and let her initiate contact. • Training with Love: Because she is young and shy, positive reinforcement training will be her best friend. Building her confidence through fun, low-stress games will help her realize just how capable she is. ### What to Expect When you first bring Sassy home, she may spend some time tucked away in a quiet corner. But with a steady routine and a furry mentor by her side, you’ll slowly start to see the "Sassy" hidden beneath the shyness. "She may be small and quiet now, but the bond you build with a shy dog is one of the deepest connections you will ever experience." WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org 🌟🐾 Meet Astrid — CEO of Puppy Shenanigans & Professional Explorer 🐾🌟 Female • 3 Months Old • Future Perfect Medium Size If you’ve been looking for a happy, curious, tail-wagging bundle of puppy joy, allow us to introduce Astrid — a 3-month-old adventurer who wakes up every day convinced the world was created specifically for fun, snacks, and exploring absolutely everything. Astrid is a typical loving-life puppy, which means her daily schedule looks something like this: • Wake up • Zoom around like she just drank three espressos • Investigate mysterious leaves • Wrestle with dog friends • Practice being adorable • Take a dramatic nap • Repeat She’s very social, great with other dogs, and absolutely loves having playmates. If there’s another dog around willing to run, wrestle, or engage in competitive zoomies, Astrid is 100% on board. She also loves being outside exploring the big ole world — sniffing trails, investigating sticks, chasing leaves, and generally making sure no blade of grass goes unexamined. Hiking buddy in training? Definitely. Astrid loves people too, but it’s only fair to give you the official puppy disclaimer: she still comes equipped with those sharp little puppy nails and tiny shark teeth. Not malicious — just enthusiastic. The good news is she’ll grow out of that stage with a little guidance and training. Cats are currently unknown, but with her young age and proper introductions, she should adapt just fine. Astrid would be happiest with a family that enjoys being active and including their dog in the fun — walks, hiking, camping trips, backyard adventures, neighborhood strolls, and of course couch cuddles once the day’s exploring is done. Because life with Astrid will include: • Daily laughter • Random zoomies • Toy explosions • Surprise puppy kisses • And a whole lot of love In other words… exactly what puppyhood should be. 👉 Apply today at haydudeequine.org and let Astrid bring the adventures, the laughs, and the puppy chaos (the cute kind) into your life. 🐶💛

Hank is wonderful with: • People (big fan) • Other dogs (instant friendships) • Cats (yes, even them!) He’s social, friendly, and carries that happy, easygoing vibe that makes him a joy to be around. His daily routine would ideally include: • Exercise to burn off that athletic energy • Mental stimulation (puzzle toys, training, learning new things) • Quality time with his favorite human (his favorite part) And after all that? He’s more than happy to settle in and enjoy some well-earned downtime — preferably somewhere near you. Hank isn’t just a dog — he’s that once-in-a-lifetime kind of companion who will learn with you, grow with you, and love you with his whole heart. 👉 Apply today at haydudeequine.org and let Hank show you just how amazing life can be with the right partner by your side. 🐾💛
