Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.A adoption is currently pending for Rupert!  Any new applications would be for backup consideration only.  Thank you! Rupert (or Roo, as his foster mom sometimes calls him) was brought in to a local pound after being attacked by a very large dog.  He came through it all pretty unscathed, but seems to have endured some harsh times before that.  He can’t hear, his ears appear to have been severely frost bitten at one time, and he only has one good eye.  But despite all that, he is very easy-going.  He is friendly to all humans and dogs he’s met so far (cats unknown) and has a very sweet temperament.   Roo greatly resembles a Jack Russell Terrier, but he does not have the high energy that often comes with that breed.  He’s very laid back.  It could be because he’s older, though the last vet who saw him guessed he may only be about 8 or so; it’s very hard to guess the age of  stray dogs sometimes.   Rupert appears to be housebroken, though his foster mom puts a belly band on him at night or when she’s gone - just in case.  He marked a few times the first few weeks in the home, so it’s mostly a precautionary measure.  He’s kept them dry for weeks and doesn’t mind wearing them.    This is a very loving and lovable guy who doesn’t need or ask for much.  He just wants a comfy bed or cushion to snooze on, some food in his belly and a little bit of lovin’ from time to time.  He’d love a fenced yard, as he does enjoy meandering around the yard, and doesn’t seem to mind a bit of rain as much as a lot of other dogs do.  He gets excited when he sees a leash, so he’d probably be ok with walks, too.     Our boy Rupert is scheduled to be neutered and get a dental cleaning soon, so he’s not available quite yet, but he should be able to be adopted around the 3rd week in December.    if interested in making Rupert your very own, you can easily fill out an adoption application by clicking here:             adoption application  For anyone viewing this on Petfinder, if you are interested in adopting this animal you will need to go to our website www.rosesrescue.net to fill out the online adoption application. Story
Dobby is a 25#, 11-month-old sweetheart who was adopted as a puppy but recently returned due to his owner’s medical issues. He’s an affectionate, playful boy who loves his Kong and rope toys, as well as his trusty Nylabone. Squeakers, however, aren’t really his thing!   Dobby’s potty training is progressing—he’s mastered using puppy pads for peeing and is still working on getting comfortable pooping outside. He’s got great recall with his name and is eager to please, though he’s still learning his commands. He will need boundaries and consistency with training.   He’s a loyal companion and would love to always be by your side, so he may need some support with self soothing and crate training.    If you’re looking for a cuddly companion who will love you endlessly, Dobby might be the perfect fit! His adoption fee is $300 which includes his neuter, age-appropriate vaccines, microchip and current monthly prevention. To fill out an application for this animal or a general application click HERE. All animals are up to date on age appropriate shots, microchipped and fixed. To meet one of our animals we require an approved application. You can fill one out at https://tobyscrittercoverescue.org/adoptionapp/ December 20, 2024, 11:48 pm

Story
Please contact Jamie (jamie@pawsandprayers.org) for more information about this pet.  Meet Revere! Revere is a 2-year-old small terrier mix breed. Revere has had a hard start to life. He came from a hoarding case of over 50 dogs. Revere needs an adult only home that will go slow and continue to show him all of the love that humans have to offer. He finds comfort in other dogs since he came from a hoarding situation, they really bring him out of his shell. Revere is sensitive in his neck area due to his history so he does best with a harness. Revere’s adoption fee is $350. All Paws and Prayers animals are up-to-date on vaccinations (age appropriate) and are given monthly flea/heartworm prevention.  Adoption fees also include the pet's spay/neuter and microchipping.  The first step in the adoption process is to complete a no-obligation adoption application at www.pawsandprayers.org.     November 28, 2024, 1:06 pm
