You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Meet Sampson, (meaning: sun) Sampson will bring a little sunshine to your day ever day once he decides you're HIS. He can be frightened of new environments at first, so he needs a patient person who will let him unwind. In a quiet, welcoming home, he will be able to relax and shine his true personality. He's actually quite a little character. His favorite game is hide and go seek.... your belonings. He loves hiding his person's shoes, jackets, and clothes while they are in the shower. And then will come and love on you!! Once Sampson is comfortable, he loves to snuggle and would be the perfect companion and lap dog. He also can be protective over the people whom he trusts, he knows a good thing when he sees it.   Sampson gets along with other animals but can get a littke spicy with new visitors. Turn in an application today and be his special person.  (FTA: Sampson is a part of our Foster-to-Adopt program. If you are interested in bringing Sampson home to test how he would acclimate to your environment, apply today!)Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 2, 2024, 3:49 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Introducing Russ ~ Hub Cap! Little Russ has a sensitive side. He is very loveable if you give him a little time. Life probably was not all that good to him, so he is a little cautious. His handler in the prison program said that he has come a long way. He is a quiet guy who does not bark and prefers soothing sounds and soft touches. He is not rowdy, so I bet he likes his friends the same. He is leash trained and crate-trained. Russ has been working on some commands in the prison program and is current on his vetting. He has not been kid or cat tested. He would love to continue his growth in his forever home. Russ will be quietly waiting. Story
Peanut was adopted out of a shelter at 3 months old in 2019. We have no way of knowing but believe she is part Daushound and Jack Russell. She is a smart and affectionate dog. Housebroken, crate trained and uses her dog door to go out into the yard protected by an underground fence. She is happiest when she is with her people doing whatever they’re doing. Peanut loves all people from babies on up but does not do well with other animals. Loves to play ball, frisbee and tug on a rope. Does well on a leash and loves to ride in the car. She loves to run loose at the farm and always comes when called. The only reason we are rehoming her is because she does not do well with other family animals which has led to some serious fights. For her own safety is the only reason we are looking for new owners for Peanut and why she must be the only animal in the household.

Story
Jack was born 8/3/2020, we adopted him as a puppy. He is playful, full of energy and loves to run. He has been a great pet until the past 6 months. He wants to be the alpha male in our home, and this creates conflict with the alpha male. Worse he is jealous of our toddler age grandchildren. (I guess because we pick them up???) He has no issue with the older grandchildren. The last straw was when he bit one of the grandchildren. It wasn't serious, this time, but I can't take any more chances, and I don't like kenneling him for the whole weekend when they visit. Jack needs space to play and to get outside frequently for exercise. The more exercise he gets the calmer he becomes. He needs to be in a home with strong loving family/caregivers. I think he would do best in a home with no small children and no other pets. I hope that's YOU....

Story
Petite adorable WOODY is a lively little boy looking for a home. He's maybe 2 years old at most and fully grown at just 20 pounds. He is a mixed breed boy with a bouncy silly terrier-type personality. Our breed guesses are Jack Russell Terrier, Beagle, maybe some miniature pinscher and heaven only knows what else? Woody loves to play fetch and chase toys and lives for treats. We introduced him to peanut butter and he was in heaven! He is super affectionate and loves a good cuddle. Woody is dog friendly but a little too interested in kitties. If you'd like to meet this cutie boy, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Woody at our weekly adoption event, Saturday noon-2 at PetSmart Eastgate. All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoptable dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, dewormed and current on flea and tick and heartworm prevention.
