Story
Oh how Chase is just the most adorable Jack Russel/ Chihuaha mix! This love bug is 2yrs old, neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. Chase is a very sweet boy and dog friendly. He would do better with dogs bigger than him. He loves to play with his foster buddy who's a Golden Retriever! Because he can play rough (typical Jack Russel) other little dogs might not like his play style. Chase is true to the Jack Russel breed with having a lot of energy. But once he gets some exercise he settles right down. We will require a fenced in yard for Chase so he can run around. Also, if you're a walker, that's a great way to get a dogs enery out! If you think this sweet boy would be a great fit for your family, please fill out the adoption application on our website www.pawsitiveimpactncdogrescue.org ##1744393##

Story
Meet Flora!  Flora is a 1-year-old Jack Russell Terrier mix with a bright mind and an even brighter personality. She’s incredibly smart and learns quickly, especially when playtime is involved—fetch is one of her absolute favorite games! She’s happy to chase a ball again and again and would love a family who enjoys active play. Flora is house-trained, crate-trained, and she does well with children and other dogs, making her a wonderful family companion. Curious by nature, she loves to explore her surroundings and thrives with plenty of physical and mental stimulation. She can be a bit timid around men initially, but with patience, reassurance, and positive experiences, Flora gains confidence and shows her sweet, affectionate side. She’s looking for an active, loving home that will help her continue to blossom. Flora weighs about 20 pounds, is spayed and up to date on vaccines. If you’re searching for a fun, intelligent, and energetic pup who’s always up for a game of fetch, Flora could be your perfect match! If you are interested in adopting Flora, please submit an inquiry directly to Greater Charlotte SPCA by visiting charlottespca.org/adopt. The adoption amount is a suggested donation of $200 to $300 dollars based on the pet's age.   **Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers, local applications will take precedence. We will accept out of town applications, but any family is responsible for coming to Charlotte to complete a meet and greet. All out of town applicants will also have to be willing to drive to Charlotte to pick up the pet as soon as they are approved to adopt. **  January 13, 2026, 8:28 pm

Story
Hi, my name is Sandy.  Some call me Super Sandy because I am such a great girl.  Others call me Sheriff Sandy, as I have made it my job to patrol the yard when I hear a noise.  We have a nice fenced-in yard with lots of room to run and a doggie door in the back door.  That makes it very easy for me to do my self-appointed job.     Only a few weeks ago, I was a homeless girl abandoned in a neighborhood behind a veterinary clinic.  This nice lady took me to the vet.  They agreed to help me and let me stay there.  After my photo session for my online post, the staff called Critter Cavalry.  Now I am the lucky one enjoying life in a wonderful foster home.  It is amazing how quickly things can change. When I am not on patrol, I enjoy time with my foster brothers and sisters.  We have lots of room to play outside and room inside to relax.  I am fitting right in.  Not long after I arrived, my foster mom came home with a little scruffy boy who was also abandoned.  We shared our stories and became fast friends.  He has been adopted.  Now it is my turn.   I would love an active family that spends time outdoors.  It would also be great if they had children and another dog for me to play with.  Since I do like to patrol, a fenced-in yard is a must.  I also tend to bark when I hear noises.  Because of that, apartment life is definitely not for me.  I ride well in the car and walk ok on a leash.  I could use a refresher course in that.  I am very smart and catch on quickly.   To learn more about me and to request an application, please contact Vivienne at vivienneajames@gmail.com.  I am currently in Tennessee and can be transported north upon adoption.  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.  January 13, 2026, 6:14 pm

Story
Cali-Marie is amazing. I’m a foster parent with the county, however, I don’t want to put her in the shelter. We found her as a puppy. I know a lot of ppl are not patient with a puppy so I decided to keep and train myself to make sure the transition to a permanent home was smooth. I took it upon myself to get her accustomed to routines, health up to date, and trusting ppl. It was not a permanent placement. I tried to explain this to the shelter but I’d have to surrender, uproot her to a shelter and then I would not be able to house her at all until a suitable home is located. She doesn’t deserve this. She’s ready for a loving home with plenty of space or a back yard as she has energy. Just looking for her forever home

Story
Meet Lady! This sweet girl’s story starts with heartbreak - dumped in a neighborhood and too scared to let anyone near her for three long days. It’s clear life hasn’t been kind to her. She’s had babies, probably been let down more than once, and learned the hard way that not all humans are safe. But even after all that… she still chooses love! Now safe in a foster home, she’s showing her gentle, loyal heart. She loves her people (especially older kids) and once she trusts you, she’ll love you with everything she has. She’s laid back, crate-loving, respects our cats, and just starting to believe she’ll never be left behind again. We think she is around 6 years old, and a Jack Russell terrier mix of some sort! We will continue working on her confidence and sharing love with other dogs - but one things for sure: she’s already a keeper. Quiet, gentle and learning to trust again - she is going to make an amazing companion. Interested parties must complete an adoption application on our website. Breed, age, and size are not guaranteed.
