Story
Tinsel DOB is 10-2-15 and was adopted from Catawba County humane society. Tinsel is a very loyal and loving dog but would be a much better match for a family that had her as an only dog. My son has moved in with us and brought his dog, which Tinsel does great with until there is food, treats or toys involved. When that happens she becomes very aggressive towards the other dog and has started fights. We have another older lab that Tensile gets along with but she is definitely determine to be the alpha dog and the lab lets her.

Story
After much consideration, training, and with heavy hearts, my husband and I need to re-home our 11 year old terrier mix, Ellie. We adopted her around age 1, in 2014, and she has been our baby until our son came along in 2020. Ellie has never trusted our son and shows signs of aggression (such as showing teeth), which is obviously unsafe for our son. As a result, we have to keep them separated and her/our quality of life has decreased considerably. We tried getting other help to re-home and have been unsuccessful. Ellie is an extremely loyal, smart, healthy, and loves to snuggle. She loves adult humans and has been house trained from the start. She is extremely motivated by food, and requires more mental exercise than physical exercise. Ellie would do great with a single person, a couple, or a family with older teen children.

Meet Finnegan! Finnegan is a sweet boy who came to us from a local shelter.  He is in heaven when he is in someone's lap.  Finn has a playful side and will 'tell stories' with talking and little growls.  He is crate trained, housebroken and gets along with other dogs.   Applications can be filled out at www.piedmontanimalrescue.com/adopt!  Petfinder and Adopt-A-Pet does NOT send us Applications.   We receive many applications and many never respond after processing GREATLY delaying the pets forever home.  Please only apply if you are serious about adopting.  Please also make sure your pets are up to date on you species applicable Vaccines (rabies, Distemper/Parvo, FVRCP, Bordetella), spayed/neutered, and on Heartworm prevention if a canine.   The adoption fee includes their age appropriate vaccinations(DA2PP and Bordetella), Dewormer, spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm test as well as the registration of their microchip information to you. The first step to adopting is to fill out an application for adoption. Once approved we will arrange a time for you to meet the animal you are interested in. If it is a match the adoption can then be completed and you can take home your new furry family member. If it is not a match we will file your approved application and you can wait till you find the perfect match. ##2241189##

Story
Hi there! I’m Hiccup, an 8-year-old Jack Russell Terrier with a heart as big as my body is small. Despite a detour in his journey that led him to seek a new forever home, Hiccup's spirit remains as lively as ever. While he may take a little time to warm up to new faces, he'll be your most loyal companion once he does. Hiccup is an ideal match for households with other dogs, as he is friendly with all dogs he has met. His manners extend to potty time, whether it's indoors on paper or outside. He is fully potty trained. Hiccup's medium activity level means he's not always the most energetic pup on the block, but he'll be glad to join you for a relaxing afternoon at home. Hiccup prefers the freedom of not being confined to a crate but has proven himself to be a model citizen when left alone in the house. With his gentle nature and laid-back demeanor, Hiccup would thrive in a loving home where he can be given the time and space to adjust at his own pace. Lastly, Hiccup has a heart murmur and dilated cardiomyopathy with pulmonary edema. He will require lifelong medication for his condition. If you're searching for a loyal companion who's as sweet as he is spunky, look no further than Hiccup. He's ready to embark on a new adventure with a loving forever home that will cherish him for the wonderful dog that he is. Before emailing- please read: - Yes, this dog is available for adoption - The adoption fee for Hiccup is $365 - Apply at c2cnd.org - The adoption fee covers their age appropriate shots, microchip, deworming, spay/neuter, and any other medical expenses while in our care. - Local adopters only. Due to our thorough adoption process including home visits, we limit our adoptions to local families in the greater Charlotte area. - If you have any additional questions, email us at dogs@c2cnd.org and we will respond as soon as possible!

Story
Mitzi is a super cute little girl, estimated 3 years old, 22.4 pounds. She was found as a stray so we don't know her history. Here in the shelter she has been so mindful, so demure. Mitzi knows the sit command, so we know someone worked with and loved her in the past. Mitzi is up to date on vaccines, has tested negative for heartworm disease and her adoptin fee includes a voucher for the mandatory spay and microchip.

Story
A pack of puppies was abandoned at my son work at the end of August. He took home two of the puppies to foster till he could find them a home. They are up to date on their shots and currently weigh 22lbs. They are sweet, playful puppies that do well with children and other dogs. They have been crate trained since he took them. They do fine in a crate during the day. My son had a dog and cat already, they have done great with his dog but want to chase his cat around. I wouldn’t recommend homing with another cat. They appear to be a terrier mix. We believe they will be medium size full grown. My daughter in law just found out she is pregnant and they need to rehome the dogs as they have to much on their plate to have this many pets.
