Meet Dodo🖤🤍 Dodo was rescued along with two other dogs, Dodam and Dorang, from a dog meat farm in Korea. Despite witnessing the cruelty of their fellow companions dying, Dodo still wagged his tail when he saw people. He is now in a foster home and doing well. * Interaction with people: Loves people and communicates well emotionally. Displays intimacy to strangers. Becomes full of charms once people become familiar to him. * Interaction with dogs: Wants to make friends with and approaches other dogs first with wagging his tail. Is whining and looking for caregivers when bothered by other dogs. * Interaction with cats: Trembles in fear when encountering cats. * Separation Anxiety: Enjoys his time alone but occasionally tears tissue or pads. * Potty Training: Outdoor potty. Comes to foster and is whining indoors when nature calls him. * Hygiene: Accepts baths calmly and does not make a fuss in getting dryed, brushed, and toenail trimmed. * Walks: Was afraid of unfamiliar environments or sounds but gradually improving. Was scared of steps before but currently overcame the fear. * Car Sickness: Does not get car sickness and looks out the window in a car while being held. * Follows the commands such as "Sit," "Paw," "The other paw," "Hi-five," "Come here" and "Wait." Can understand "Wait" even in English.

Rocky might have had a rocky start to life, but he's ready to find happiness. He's still a young pup at approximately 8 months old. He weighs just 35 pounds and probably won't get much bigger than that. We are not sure about his mix breeds. He still has his puppy enthusiasm for life, so he's already learned the word 'no' - lol. That's okay Rocky, you're still a baby and you will settle down once you've found a place to call your own. Little Rocky was kept tied outside, and one day his owner decided to dump him off at the shelter. One of our rescue partners in Texas saw him and couldn't let him be put to sleep so she was able to find him a temporary foster home in Texas. He needs to find his forever family soon so he can experience all the joys that life has in store for him. The foster that has Rocky also has cats and says he will chase them because he wants to play, but he will stop when she says 'no'. Rocky is good with all other dogs and would love to join your family. He's still in Texas but can come to NJ on our next transport, once he's been adopted. Story

Birdie is growing up in her rescuer's home instead of in her forever family home. Birdie was found wandering by herself in the streets of Texas. She was just a few pounds and tinier than tiny. Now she's about 12 months old, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped, and ready to come to NJ when someone falls in love with her like we did. Birdie is perfect with other dogs, cats, and humans. She enjoys sleeping with her foster but loves to rest in her crate. She loves treats! Which is perfect for easy training. She is very affectionate. She's only about 35 lbs; we believe she is fully grown now. She's currently using pee pads at her foster home. Birdie will need some more training on leash walking. A friendly dog at home would be a great companion for Birdie. She would welcome an adopter who is loving and willing to be patient with her as she adjusts to her new home. She is currently in Texas but will be transported to NJ when adopted. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Sasha (SC) is a female Jack Russell Terrier mix estimated to be 9 weeks old at the time of intake in mid-July 2024. Sasha is up to date on core vaccines (age-appropriate) and is microchipped. Sasha will be spayed prior to joining her forever home unless there is a medical reason why it has not yet been completed (in which case RDR NYC will work with the adopter to ensure this is done at the appropriate time). Sasha is good with adults, children and other dogs. We found Sasha in a shelter suffering from a congenital defect that was not being treated, so we scooped Sasha up and took her to our veterinary partner where she had successful surgery to repair an esophageal defect. Sasha is now better than new! Sasha is an adorable little pup who is friendly and super sweet. Location : Korea Adoption inquiries: wds3628@nate.com ▶ Relationship with dogs: Gets along with other dogs very well. However, there are times where he barks at dogs who are too aggressive or dogs who bark at them. ▶ Relationship with cats: Hasn’t been in same space with cats, but barks at cats passing by the fence. ▶ Relationship between people: Loves human and being alongside for long period. Loves meeting people when going for walks. Mary sticks her head towards people, as if wanting to be seen. Loves human more than other dogs. If other dogs run towards her owner or seems to bother them, she would bark at them to stop. ▶ Leash training: She is family and doesn’t have aversion towards harness; she enjoys them since she know it means going for a walk. Special note: As a side effect from measle, has tic symptoms, weak front legs and inablity to produce tears. Due to weak front legs, may have some amount of shaking but has no problem at all to go for a walk. Slippery floors may casue her to slip some times but other than that, there are no problems. Mary's left eye has a bit of murky makrs which are improving over time. She has been puting artifical tears to help it. Mary used to have a paralysis on left part of her, but she was desperate to heal, that she overcame it. Her strong will is making her healthier daily.

Hopper may be the most appropriately named dog you will ever meet - this little guy has pogo sticks for legs! He could probably set some kind of world record for consecutive "hops" in the air. An athletic, playful and entertaining boy who came to us with some learned coping behaviors that we believe stemmed from not having enough lets go! in his life! He was a frustrated firecracker that needed to get out and go go go!! Hop has made great canine friends here! He gets to burn off his little dog terrier energy marching along darting about tracking scents, on solo or group hikes.. in the woods jumping over logs, leaping and yes, hopping... playing chasing games with his buddies in the large grass yards and definitely getting his full share of that wonderful game, enjoyed by humans and canines alike, FETCH!!! Hop is a dog who is his best self having had some enjoyable exercise and fun games. He is smart, active and engaged. He enjoys learning and being praised!
