Jack, a new member of Petrescue was found wandering a residential complex. After posting him on multiple lost dog sites failed, his rescuer realized that Jack needed a new forever home. He has been in a foster home with a few other dogs and shown that he is a sweet boy…playful, friendly with people and of course, other dogs. Be sure to complete an application on line and come to our Meet & Greet Saturday 11:30-1:30. Hopper may be the most appropriately named dog you will ever meet - this little guy has pogo sticks for legs! He could probably set some kind of world record for consecutive "hops" in the air. An athletic, playful and entertaining boy who came to us with some learned coping behaviors that we believe stemmed from not having enough lets go! in his life! He was a frustrated firecracker that needed to get out and go go go!! Hop has made great canine friends here! He gets to burn off his little dog terrier energy marching along darting about tracking scents, on solo or group hikes.. in the woods jumping over logs, leaping and yes, hopping... playing chasing games with his buddies in the large grass yards and definitely getting his full share of that wonderful game, enjoyed by humans and canines alike, FETCH!!! Hop is a dog who is his best self having had some enjoyable exercise and fun games. He is smart, active and engaged. He enjoys learning and being praised! Location : Korea Adoption inquiries: wds3628@nate.com ▶ Relationship with dogs: Gets along with other dogs very well. However, there are times where he barks at dogs who are too aggressive or dogs who bark at them. ▶ Relationship with cats: Hasn’t been in same space with cats, but barks at cats passing by the fence. ▶ Relationship between people: Loves human and being alongside for long period. Loves meeting people when going for walks. Mary sticks her head towards people, as if wanting to be seen. Loves human more than other dogs. If other dogs run towards her owner or seems to bother them, she would bark at them to stop. ▶ Leash training: She is family and doesn’t have aversion towards harness; she enjoys them since she know it means going for a walk. Special note: As a side effect from measle, has tic symptoms, weak front legs and inablity to produce tears. Due to weak front legs, may have some amount of shaking but has no problem at all to go for a walk. Slippery floors may casue her to slip some times but other than that, there are no problems. Mary's left eye has a bit of murky makrs which are improving over time. She has been puting artifical tears to help it. Mary used to have a paralysis on left part of her, but she was desperate to heal, that she overcame it. Her strong will is making her healthier daily.

PUPDATE... I just moved to Connecticut so you can easily meet me, fall in love, and take me home! Hi there, I am an extremely sweet and nice boy named Charlie. I am about 1-½ years old, 30.4 lbs and I'm a Jack Russell Terrier/Corgi mix. I was a stray dog at the San Antonio Animal Shelter, just biding my time, wondering what my chances were of getting outta that joint when 4 Little Paws Rescue decided I could do better than Texas. My new foster mom brought me home and I think has been madly in love with me ever since. She keeps petting and snuggling me, giving me kisses, and telling me what a good boy I am and she's right. Not to toot my own horn, but I am a keeper. A family-friendly, dog-friendly sweetheart. I love to play and run Zoomies but I’m not bonkers. I have a medium-low energy level, calm and easygoing and I love my people. I love doggy toys, walks to the park, and rides in the car. I am well-behaved and housetrained, learned to use a doggy door in just 1 day, and when my foster mom leaves the house I like to sit in a chair near the window and watch for her return. When she walks in, it’s like I haven't seen her in years I’m so happy turning in circles and wagging like crazy. Meatball (~10 years old) is cat-like. He enjoys sun bathing, sitting on laps for pets, and running in grassy fields. He needs time to warm up to people, but once he does all he wants is to sit on your lap for pets and scratches. He is spunky and playful, he loves playing tug or chasing a ball around the yard. He is potty-trained, not destructive, quiet, and knows basic tricks. Meatball is sensitive and can be reactive to some noises, larger dogs, and strangers. He is touch sensitive so he needs someone who is willing to take things slow to gain his trust. He has nipped strangers who have tried to handle his harness in the past. He had some food guarding tendencies when I first got him, but we have worked through them. Meatball's left rear knee has luxating patella which is currently being managed with supplements.
