Jack Russell Terrier puppies and dogs in Princeton, New Jersey

Pancake was picked up off the streets, already neutered and microchipped (but alas, the chip was not registered). He is a sassy little guy, he enjoys long walks and belly rubs. He also enjoys his dinner to the point of resource guarding - as in if you get near his bowl, he will bite you. We are hand feeding him as a way to diminish this behavior, but his future family needs to be aware that he is not perfect. He loves running loose on the farm, ignores the other dogs and cats, and will happily trot along wherever his foster travels. He is a perfect auxiliary dog! All our dogs/pups are spayed/neutered and microchipped prior to adoption. They have been dewormed and are current on vaccinations. Our adoption fee includes 30 days of complimentary medical insurance for your new pet. Breed and size is frequently a guess and can not be guaranteed. Our dogs are fostered on a private residence, we do not have a free standing shelter. They live on a farm where they run and play with other dogs, cats, horses, and barnyard fowl. Our B litter is ready for adoption! This sweet litter of pups are about 9-10 weeks, born around mid-November 2024. These puppies are some of the lucky ones – a good Samaritan saw a mangy, starving dog eating scrap someone threw out in a back corner of a Mexican restaurant by a dumpster. She couldn’t turn away. The good Samaritan was going to just help mom, when she realized mom looks to have just had puppies. It’s like the momma dog knew someone was there to help, and she turned away from the scrap food and started walking down the street. The good Samaritan followed this momma dog for almost 2 miles to a home, where when they walked up, 7 puppies came running out from under the house (see video!) The homeowner didn’t claim mom or puppies, nor did she want anything to do with them. She refused to feed them or offer them shelter. It took some time, but after a few days, we were able to get all 7 pups and mom to safety. Mom is about 32 lbs and has a wire-hair coat, we have named her Lainey and she will also be available for adoption soon. We do not know who dad is. We believe pups will vary in size with the 2 runts (Baby ad Belle) staying smaller than the others – but generally we believe they will stay around 40 lbs. Please keep in mind that these puppies had minimal human interaction until a few weeks ago, but they are now in their prime age for impression, training and growing in a home to learn from. They all would do wonderfully with well-behaved children, other dogs and cats. They did not chase stray cats at the home they were at and they LOVE other dogs. Here’s a breakdown of the litter and some information on each one: All weights are as of 1/19/25 Baby – Male Runt – 7.5 lbs – Black and white (tri color) – Semi wirehair and very short hair – does not seem to shed much, if at all – Very playful. Very outgoing. Fun to watch play as he is so much tinier than the other pups. Daring. First pup to try anything. Aims to please. Wants to be next to you and get lots of love and love you. All homes would be ideal, all ages of children would be great for Baby. Belle – Female Runt – 4.4 lbs – Black and White – Wirehair – Does not seem to shed – She is quite timid but friendly and does come around. Will make the best baby. She defends herself against all the other bigger pups. Fierce and won’t let anyone pick on her. Is learning to play with toys. Could be a lap dog with lots of patience. Minimal-mild active home that is patient. Beau – Male – 10.2 lbs – Brown and White – Wirehair – Does not seem to shed – Needs someone with some patience. He is a bit timid and would rather watch everyone else play before joining. He would do best with another dog in the home. Beau is learning to trust people and his surroundings. Minimal-Mild Active home that is patient. Bree – Female – 11.4 lbs – Black and White – Short hair, minimal shedding – She is a hoot to have around. She loves to talk to you and is very vocal. She doesn’t mind telling you how she feels. She’s more of a leader and she keeps all the other puppies in check and in their place. If any of them start bickering, Bree will be there to break it up. She’s not afraid to test the waters and try anything new. A bit shorter of legs and stocky build. A more active home is preferred. Blue – Male – 12.4 lbs – Black and White – Short hair, minimal shedding – This gentle giant boy is so sweet. He is the biggest of the litter. He is very curious but won’t try anything first. He will stand back and watch. He is learning to trust humans and his surroundings. Very smart. Blue would be great with another dog to teach him or someone willing to put in the time and patience for training and socialization. Would love someone to force cuddles on him so he can learn to fully love people. Not a mean bone in his body. Mildly active home ideal, with patience. Biscuit – Male – 11.1 lbs – Brown and White – Wire Hair – Does not seem to shed – This lover boy is the most timid of the group of pups. The foster left him with his mom so she can help build his confidence and not be bullied by his siblings. He is very submissive. Needs a family or person that is patient, kind and understands he does need socialization and lots of love. Ideally no young children given how timid he is. Bear – Male – 11.3 lbs – Black and White – Short hair, minimal shedding – One of the most outgoing pups of the litter! He is one of the few that came around super quickly and is super lovable, huggable and amazing all around. He LOVES to be held in your arms and rocked like a baby or just carried around. He would rather be with you than anywhere else. His next favorite thing is belly rubs. He will roll over in a heartbeat to get some belly rubs and stay there until you can’t anymore. He is a very relaxed pup and doesn’t run around too much. Chill. Mildly active home and all age children would be perfect. All of these puppies will make wonderful and loyal companions. AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION! Becca is an adorable Jack Russell Terrier mix looking for her forever home where she will be cared for and loved unconditionally. Her prior caretaker battles drug addiction and poor Becca lived in that environment until recently when she was brought to a shelter. Despite these experiences, Becca is happy-go-lucky and absolutely adores people.    She’s about 1-2 years old and 20 lb and bursting with personality. True to her breed, she has lots of energy and would love a fetch partner and space to stretch her legs each day. Becca does have luxating patellas and takes a daily joint supplement. She is not in any pain and, at her size, the vet does not recommend surgery. This should be monitored at her routine vet visits.    Becca is crate trained and house trained and happily sleeps through the night. She enjoys a good snuggle and is an excellent lap warmer. She can be nervous and feel overwhelmed around new dogs, but she warms up with slow intros. She hasn’t shown interest in the two cats in her foster home, but care should always be taken when introducing furry friends. Becca loves her people and would be perfectly happy being your one and only, too. Hi!  My name is Bailee and I am looking for a forever home.  I am an owner surrender after my owner, who is in the military, went through a divorce and had to move back into the barracks where I was not welcome.  I might be a little bit of a mix but as far as personality and attitude, I'm all Jack Russell Terrier.  I am around 7-8 years old, but don't let me age fool you as I love adventures and have the energy to keep up with you wherever you want to go. Mari was terrified at the shelter but shelter staff and volunteers worked very hard making sure she felt comfortable. .
