Meet Marvin! This sweet 4-year-old Jack Russell mix weighs just 12 pounds. He’s an excellent walking buddy, loves car rides, and enjoys treats. Marvin can be a little shy at first and takes some time to warm up, but once he gets to know you, he’ll shower you with kisses and bring out his playful side. He even does a funny trick of getting on your shoulders. He needs a slow introduction to strangers, so he needs a patient adult only family who can understand his boundaries and going slow.Rescued from a local shelter where he was once very scared, Marvin is now thriving in his foster home. He’s house and crate trained. He loves to cuddle and be with other dogs once he warms up. He is a smart boy who loves to learn new tricks. He will do best in a home without cats. Marvin is ready to find a forever family who will help him continue to grow and feel safe in new environments. Meet Sir Scott Calvin. This sweet gentleman came to the shelter as a stray. He is a very easy going guy. He is nervous around strangers but once he feels safe he lets his guard down and opens up. He likes playing with toys but will sacrifice playing if it means you are going to let him sit in your lap and give him rubs. Scott Calvin would do great in a home that isn`t too busy since he is a nervous guy. Loud noises frighten him so a home with small children would not be a good fit. Carla’s a 4yo 15lb JRT. She’s dog, cat and older dog savvy kid friendly. She’s used to pee pads so needs some work on going outside instead. She’s used to her fosters secure fenced in yard and when must go out with harness and leash she gets nervous. She came from a hoarding situation where she didn’t leave the house or have human interaction. She will need warm up time but once she trusts you she is extremely loving. Once she warms up she will want to be next to them. Carla MUST have a secure fenced in yard, another well balanced, confident dog along with people who are on board to show leadership, consistency, structure and to continue working on training. If your home DOES NOT fit this please DO NOT put an application in. We will not call anyone not a fit. Also, we will be concentrating on local to foster applications 1st since home checks and meets with all humans and animals in home is needed at meet. Our fosters are all volunteers so aren’t always able to travel too far. Carla came to Tiny Paws from a hoarding house where she was bred and had puppies.
