Jack Russell Terrier puppies and dogs in Sykesville, Maryland

Our B litter is ready for adoption! This sweet litter of pups are about 9-10 weeks, born around mid-November 2024. These puppies are some of the lucky ones – a good Samaritan saw a mangy, starving dog eating scrap someone threw out in a back corner of a Mexican restaurant by a dumpster. She couldn’t turn away. The good Samaritan was going to just help mom, when she realized mom looks to have just had puppies. It’s like the momma dog knew someone was there to help, and she turned away from the scrap food and started walking down the street. The good Samaritan followed this momma dog for almost 2 miles to a home, where when they walked up, 7 puppies came running out from under the house (see video!) The homeowner didn’t claim mom or puppies, nor did she want anything to do with them. She refused to feed them or offer them shelter. It took some time, but after a few days, we were able to get all 7 pups and mom to safety. Mom is about 32 lbs and has a wire-hair coat, we have named her Lainey and she will also be available for adoption soon. We do not know who dad is. We believe pups will vary in size with the 2 runts (Baby ad Belle) staying smaller than the others – but generally we believe they will stay around 40 lbs. Please keep in mind that these puppies had minimal human interaction until a few weeks ago, but they are now in their prime age for impression, training and growing in a home to learn from. They all would do wonderfully with well-behaved children, other dogs and cats. They did not chase stray cats at the home they were at and they LOVE other dogs. Here’s a breakdown of the litter and some information on each one: All weights are as of 1/19/25 Baby – Male Runt – 7.5 lbs – Black and white (tri color) – Semi wirehair and very short hair – does not seem to shed much, if at all – Very playful. Very outgoing. Fun to watch play as he is so much tinier than the other pups. Daring. First pup to try anything. Aims to please. Wants to be next to you and get lots of love and love you. All homes would be ideal, all ages of children would be great for Baby. Belle – Female Runt – 4.4 lbs – Black and White – Wirehair – Does not seem to shed – She is quite timid but friendly and does come around. Will make the best baby. She defends herself against all the other bigger pups. Fierce and won’t let anyone pick on her. Is learning to play with toys. Could be a lap dog with lots of patience. Minimal-mild active home that is patient. Beau – Male – 10.2 lbs – Brown and White – Wirehair – Does not seem to shed – Needs someone with some patience. He is a bit timid and would rather watch everyone else play before joining. He would do best with another dog in the home. Beau is learning to trust people and his surroundings. Minimal-Mild Active home that is patient. Bree – Female – 11.4 lbs – Black and White – Short hair, minimal shedding – She is a hoot to have around. She loves to talk to you and is very vocal. She doesn’t mind telling you how she feels. She’s more of a leader and she keeps all the other puppies in check and in their place. If any of them start bickering, Bree will be there to break it up. She’s not afraid to test the waters and try anything new. A bit shorter of legs and stocky build. A more active home is preferred. Blue – Male – 12.4 lbs – Black and White – Short hair, minimal shedding – This gentle giant boy is so sweet. He is the biggest of the litter. He is very curious but won’t try anything first. He will stand back and watch. He is learning to trust humans and his surroundings. Very smart. Blue would be great with another dog to teach him or someone willing to put in the time and patience for training and socialization. Would love someone to force cuddles on him so he can learn to fully love people. Not a mean bone in his body. Mildly active home ideal, with patience. Biscuit – Male – 11.1 lbs – Brown and White – Wire Hair – Does not seem to shed – This lover boy is the most timid of the group of pups. The foster left him with his mom so she can help build his confidence and not be bullied by his siblings. He is very submissive. Needs a family or person that is patient, kind and understands he does need socialization and lots of love. Ideally no young children given how timid he is. Bear – Male – 11.3 lbs – Black and White – Short hair, minimal shedding – One of the most outgoing pups of the litter! He is one of the few that came around super quickly and is super lovable, huggable and amazing all around. He LOVES to be held in your arms and rocked like a baby or just carried around. He would rather be with you than anywhere else. His next favorite thing is belly rubs. He will roll over in a heartbeat to get some belly rubs and stay there until you can’t anymore. He is a very relaxed pup and doesn’t run around too much. Chill. Mildly active home and all age children would be perfect. All of these puppies will make wonderful and loyal companions. Cash is a very energetic boy. He loves going outside, but must have a leash because he runs fast (lol). We have an allergy issue in the house (kids), so I'm trying my best. Cash would be best suited for someone who can devote time to him. He's a loving but rowdy boy (1 year old) and full of energy. He is up to date on shots.

Sequoia was born 2/14/2020. Mom and Dad are a Chihuahua and A Jack Russell. We got her from a friend when she was 8 weeks old. She is now about 12 lbs. She has been spayed. She is pad trained. She has coprophagia. She comes with 2 wooden crates, car blanket with free walking strap, heating pads for her crates(She gets cold easily). Sequoia loves to be held. She likes to play keep-away with her ball. She does shed a lot. She LOVES belly rubs and scratches behind her ears. She doesn't like to have her nails clipped, but she has a harness to make it easier to manage her. I love my baby so much and it's so hard to rehome her, but I have no choice. She loves people. She loves to shred tissues, paper towels, napkins and toilet paper. Yes, she is a yapper!!! Will let you know when someone comes near your home. I could never accept a fee for her. Just want someone to love and care for her. She deserves it.

Eli has been with me since six weeks old. Because I've spoiled him so much. He requires a lot of attention. I adopted Eli before the pandemic during the most inactive time in my life and now that things have begin to change back, I have less and less time to spend with Eli. It sucks watching him sit idle to wait for me to become available. He is great with kids and other small dogs. He thinks he's a big dog and has no problem challenging bigger dogs, must watch him. He's very playful and smart. He loves peanut butter treats and anything with salmon flavor. I am hoping to rehome with a family or individual who has time to spend with Eli. He is used to a schedule up and out by 8 and done and sleep by 10 pm. He does not like cats, car washes, or thunderstorms. Please serious inquiries only.

Jax is a 12 year old, 16 lb Jack Russell Terrier. But don't let his age fool you, he is still full of fun and energy and is ready to begin the next phase of his life! Jax had an owner all his life, who he sadly lost in November. Jax would love to find a person, or family, that has the time and love to dedicate to him. He's probably prefer to be an only dog, but he'd be okay in a home with other dogs as well, preferably smaller dogs. He had some separation anxiety when he first moved into his foster home, but who can blame him after the loss he went through. He's mostly house trained and can now stay home alone for a few hours. Jax is neutered and up-to-date on vaccines. The adoption fee for this dog is $250 which includes routine vetting and spay/neuter.
