This friendly girl loves everyone! She is ready for a best friend and lots of walks, good food, and most of all cuddle time. Sadly, she was surrendered because her owner has long-term health issues and can no longer care for her. Holly is going through some changes right now, but with the help of K-9 Lifesavers, she’ll have a chance to find another loving forever home. Could it be yours?Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.    Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSPONSOR ME! Help Save Lives!    Make a tax-deductible donation today and help save a life. Story
If you're looking for a best friend that will want to join you in all your outdoor adventures, ride in the car with you for any field trip, then snuggle up at the end of the day to watch a movie, then look no further! Jax is a 12 year old, 16 lb Jack Russell Terrier. But don't let his age fool you, he is still full of fun and energy and is ready to begin the next phase of his life! Jax had an owner all his life, who he sadly lost in November. Jax would love to find a person, or family, that has the time and love to dedicate to him. He's probably prefer to be an only dog, but he'd be okay in a home with other dogs as well, preferably smaller dogs. He had some separation anxiety when he first moved into his foster home, but who can blame him after the loss he went through. He's mostly house trained and can now stay home alone for a few hours. Jax is neutered and up-to-date on vaccines. The adoption fee for this dog is $250 which includes routine vetting and spay/neuter. Story
Grasshopper is a 1 year old male Jack Russell that really lives up to his shelter name as he can jump high like a grasshopper! Grasshopper was brought to the shelter as stray, so we do not know of his past. Grasshopper is an active young dog; he needs a home that will engage with him and keep his mind/body busy (not a lay around on the couch type dog). He is true to his terrier breed and will need continued work with obedience training. He is not recommended for a first-time dog owner(s) and would do best in an experienced dog savvy home. Grasshopper can be a bit cautious at first until he knows you and will need to go to a home with children older than 8 years old. Grasshopper can be a reactive with other dogs he does not know, shelter staff have been working with him to build up his confidence. However, this will need to be continued behavioral training worked with him in a new home. Possible adopters will need to bring their dog(s) in to meet Grasshopper to make sure it is a good match.
