Story
Monroe is a lovable 6-year-old Jack Russell Terrier with a heart full of energy and a calm, sweet demeanor at home. Monroe thrives on activity and loves playing tug-of-war, joining jogs or walks, and soaking up the sun. He’s also a fan of chew toys, rubs, and making friends with other dogs. Monroe is a clever boy who has taught himself how to “speak” to communicate his needs, whether it’s a restroom break, a drink, or some food. He likes being active but is perfectly content to relax.

Story
Pickles is a 2-year-old 15-pound boy who was running the streets. He is a sweet playful boy who likes other dogs. He does not do well with cats. We think he is a Jack Russel Terrier mix. He is smart and has learned sit. He is learning potty training and doing well in his foster home. He would do best in a home with kids 10 and older. Foster mom says he plays rough with her other dogs but is easily corrected. He loves stuffed toys and playing tug of war with another dog. He also loves to snuggle! The Jack Russell terrier is a small but spunky breed that pack plenty of personality and adventure into their compact, muscular body. They are active, friendly even with strangers, playful, energetic, and vocal. They are a fun-loving family companion. But don’t be fooled by the small size because these dogs have surprising stamina and willpower, so they can be a challenge for novice dog parents. Their strong prey drive can be problematic in households with other small pets, including cats. All Heart of America dogs are altered, micro chipped and will have age-appropriate vaccines. The adoption fee for all of our dogs/puppies is $225. Dog Adoption Application: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HAUS/Dog
