He is half pit and half jack Russell Original owner couldn't afford to keep him so gave him up to someone else which in return that person let him go on the street. He was then found by someone else and we're keeping him in a pickup truck until we saw him and took him into foster. He is high anxiety and aggressive towards other dogs but he is great with children and people. Very well house trained and listens. He needs a yard with a fence since we are in an apartment. He's 4 years old and needs a lot of attention.

Our lil' Misty girl is having a very hard time in the shelter environment. Her increased stress is leading to interactions not showing her amazing self to interested adopters. Her increased stress is causing her skin to flare-up which is undoubtedly uncomfortable for her. We have her on antibiotics and are switching her diet to determine what she possibly may be allergic to. Living here is proving to be extremely difficult for her. Which breaks our hearts because we have seen how much fun and how sweet and loving Misty can be. We are looking for a foster or a foster-to-adopt home. She will need someone who can be meticulous with her food intake and only feed her what we provide. Our vet team is determined to figure out what can help this lil' dollface succeed. Misty's ideal home would be one where there are only adults. She loves to be near everyone but the hustle and bustle that kiddos can bring isn't her cup of tea. A home with minimal commotion is ideal. Once she knows you, she is a bundle of joy and fun! She is a lap dog. When we have her up in the office, Misty finds an open spot with one of us and hangs out in their arms while they type away. Please just be patient when meeting her; she does come around and will befriend new people! Playing with squeaky toys is one of her favorite things to do, aside from cuddling. She has the cutest zoomies where she scoots so low to the ground and runs all over. Another fun thing for her is to burrow in blankets and give kisses to those she knows. Misty would prefer a home without kitty friends. She is a smaller gal who likes to be the queen gal when it comes to other dog friends. We've seen her co-exist nicely with shelter dogs who give her space when she asks for it and who have a "really-don't-care-about-much" type of personality. We do think she'd be totally fine to have it be just her without other furry friends so she can have all your love to herself! Amber first arrived to CRA with her litter of puppies, there after referred to as the Seinfeld litter. They have all since been adopted and while Amber's original family wanted to keep her, it ended up not working out and now she's in the market for her own happily ever after. Amber is a small terrier mix with lots of youthful energy left to entertain you. She is also, without any doubt, a chihuahua mix. She does not sell herself well and she gives absolutely zero craps about it because she knows her foster mom will continue to let her live rent free forever anyways. (Side note from her foster mom: she's holding me hostage please send help.) Amber is "v sus about strangers and would prefer it if you just didn't perceive her at all because quite honestly it's criminal that people should expect to just be in her presence for free without paying some kind of toll or subscription. Once she stops being a diva, she's actually a pretty chill little psych ward escapee. She has an olympic medal in zoomies (don't ask to see it though, just take us at our word please). She's cute as heck and soft like a bunny. She loves trashy TV and talking crap about you co-workers with you. Amber is also a very accomplished body guard and does not stand for people hurting those whom she has decided to tolerate. Have you ever wondered what your dog would do if someone broke into your house? You don't need to worry what Amber would do, cuz I'll tell you. She'll open up a full can of chihuahua sass on any unsavory visitors and make sure they think twice before crossing you again. For this reason, we'd like to avoid putting her in a home with children. Mostly because we're pretty positive she'd teach them about arson and pirating music and how to open a dog crate without using any opposable thumbs and sneak out of the house without being caught and we don't want to be responsible for the corruption of your family dynamic. Amber gets along with other chill dogs and has a very "you stay out of my way and I'll stay out of yours mentality. That said, she does not do well with barriers and gets extra spicy when she can't properly sniff a butt. For this reason also we'd love to see her land somewhere with a yard that allows her to not have to be denied butt sniffing due to leash restraints and distance. She'd love to meet you and extort you for all the treats in your possession. She's perfectly imperfect but also at the same time exactly who she was meant to be, and we love that for her. Don't pass on this sass! She's worth it! Amber's adoption fee includes her up to date vaccines and preventatives, heartworm negative, spay, and microchip.
