Story
Meet Rosie! Rosie is a 9 month old Jack Russel mix and weighs approximately 17 pounds. She is leash trained and LOVES to go on long walks. She is crate trained and sleeps all night. Rosie is house trained and has no accidents inside while in foster. She loves to chase a ball or a squeaky toy and will bring it back to you! She is super friendly and social! Some things to consider: She is very active and is lightning fast! Rosie is high energy, which leads to some rough play with other doggie friends. She is still learning what it’s like to live indoors with her family but has settled in nicely while in foster. Her ideal home will be an active one preferably with a fenced in yard. If you're interested in adopting, our process begins with the submission of OUR online application at www.adoptmebluegrasspetrescue.com, or email us if you submitted an application within the last six months. We review and schedule meets (with approved applicants only) based on the order received. Keep in mind she is a young puppy with a life expectancy of up to 15 years. Our guiding principle for adoptions is to seek the right fit for family and for dog, including a home that can stay committed to her for life.

I'm a bit overwhelmed by this big world! Can you show me the ropes of living like a real dog? This little Jackshund Terrier is frightened of the big world he has been newly introduced to. He needs a patient owner who can help him come out of his shell and live the good dog life. He is a two year old Jack Russell/Dachshund mix that weighs around 25 pounds. Our adoption fee of $80 helps offset the cost of preparing our guests to enter a forever home! While expenses for each animal varies, the average healthy dog or cat receives $500 in medical treatment between intake and adoption. Variables in the cost are conditional based on guest needs with some topping out at thousands of dollars.
