**Courtesy Post**Deuce is not a Russell Rescue dog. Russell Rescue is only assisting with placement and networking. All inquiries should be directed to Deuce’s owner at Sjkm32@hotmail.com ** This handsome boy is named Deuce. He is 8 years young, microchipped, neutered and vaccinated. He’s very well trained. He knows a lot of basic commands which include: sit down, no jump, halt-stop, leave it, stay, shake paw-left, shake paw right, no bark, go to truck/car/door, bring it, drop it. He likes to play outside and he will keep your yard free of varmints!! He also loves to chase a tennis ball! Like all Jack Russell Terriers, Deuce needs a fenced-in backyard. His house manners are perfect! He’s house trained and does not make a mess. He loves to curl up with a blanket to snuggle. If your lap is available he would love to get in it. He is also crate trained, but we want his new home to not leave him in there very long. Deuce is a “people person“ and he wants to be with you. We’re not sure how he will do with other dogs or kids. And, like a lot of JRT’s he does not like cats. Deuce is not a Russell Rescue dog. Russell Rescue is only assisting with placement and networking. All inquiries should be directed to Deuce’s owner at Sjkm32@hotmail.com If you are interested in this wonderful boy please go to www.RussellRescue.com and fill out the online adoption application. There is a small rehoming fee. His new owner will need to drive to Lafayette, Indiana to get him. A good vet reference is required to adopt Deuce.

Story
Blaze’s birthday is 10/11/21. Bought him from a breeder as a puppy. He grew up with another puppy (female). Excellent health. He’s high-energy. Would be great doing sports agility. Loves walks/fetching balls. Good with children; due to high-energy, would be best suited for children over 6. Well disciplined-knows come, sit, down, stay, wait commands. He can jump up into your arms, if you say ‘come’, then say ‘up’ as you tap on your chest and quickly hold your arms out to catch him. Good with other dogs, once he gets acclimated to them; needs time to warm up. Never been around cats, so not sure how he would be with them. He’s food motivated, so you can get him to do anything if you offer treats. Give him ‘down’ command before putting food bowl on ground at feedings, then say ‘OK’ to release him to eat. He’s crate-trained. Becomes anxious when there are fireworks/thunder. Best to lock him in his kennel during those times of noise. Overall, Blaze is a real sweetheart and aims to please.

Story
Pip is 7 months old and weighs about 10 pounds. He’s a very sweet, submissive, and naturally shy little guy, with a quiet temperament and a gentle way about him. These puppies have just arrived from a breeder/hoarding case where there were simply too many dogs for the owner to care for properly. Despite their rough start, they are incredibly sweet, peopleoriented puppies who are already soaking up affection and routine in their foster homes. They are friendly, gentle, and eager to bond with their new families. They enjoy being held and are adjusting beautifully to normal home life. As with all puppies coming from overcrowded environments, they may be a little cautious at first, but they warm up quickly with kindness and consistency. We are working on housetraining; they love to go outside and run in the yard. Something they didn't have the chance to do before. These puppies currently use a pet door in their foster home to go outside for potty breaks. This routine has helped them understand that potty happens outdoors, which makes their transition easier even if you don’t have a pet door. They will still need patience, supervision, and continued training as they adjust to your home and layout. What They Come With• Vetchecked  • Ageappropriate vaccinations  • Dewormed  • Heartworm & flea preventatives  • Spayed/neutered  • Microchipped   Adoption Fee & DepositA $50 refundable deposit is required to place a temporary hold on a puppy until your adoption appointment. This helps prevent lastminute cancellations and respects the time of our foster families. If you meet the puppy and decide not to adopt, your deposit is fully refunded. Adoption Fee is $500 Adoption Requirements• A fencedin backyard suitable for a small/medium dog  • An adult home during the day with time for a young puppy  No crating for puppies — adopters must use an approved puppy playpen  • Children age 7+ (younger considered casebycase)  • Homes with no dogs or up to one small/medium dog   ##2681160##

Story
Pauley weighs about 14 pounds, and he is 7 months old. He has a very sociable, friendly personality. When he first arrived, he had quite a bit of skin irritation, but it has fully cleared, and his coat is already growing back in nicely. He is a merle boy with soft, bluish eyes.
