Story
🥺❤️‍🩹 Jack and Sweet Pea's story is one that tugs at the heartstrings. They were taken to boarding in April but after many excuses, their family never showed back up… Having endured the confines of a boarding facility for far too long, these two sweet souls deserve a loving home where they can thrive. Despite their unfortunate abandonment, their spirits remain unbroken, showcasing their resilience and capacity for love. Jack, the black and white charmer, might not be fond of cats, but he makes up for it with his amiable nature towards other dogs and his affectionate demeanor towards people. Sweet Pea, with her tan and white coat, is equally loving and even gets along with feline friends, making her a versatile addition to any pet-friendly household. These two are not just pets; they are companions waiting to bring joy and warmth to the right family. At approximately 9 years old, Jack and Sweet Pea are in the prime of their lives, ready to offer companionship and love in abundance. By opening your heart and home to these delightful dogs, you'll not only be giving them a second chance but also enriching your own life with their joyful presence. If you or someone you know is looking to foster or adopt, please consider Jack and Sweet Pea. Together, we can ensure they experience the love and care they truly deserve. Let's find these sweethearts a forever home where they can finally leave the past behind and embrace a future filled with love and happiness. They are not bonded and do not have to go together❤️‍🩹🥺

Story
Meet Colby Jack! Colby is a happy 4 year old Jack RussellBoxer mix. Colby adores being with his people especially when he gets lots of cuddles. He leans into your leg when he's getting lovies and shows you his big smile! Colby enjoys hanging out with laid back dogs. He and his foster sister, Elly, enjoy rambling around the backyard finding new things to sniff.  He weighs approximately 35lbs which is a good, manageable size for your lap!. He loves to play with humans but may be a bit too playful for toddlers or younger children. He’s crate trained but it is not his favorite place to be. He walks well on a leash and would make a great hiking or running buddy. Colby spent the first year of his life on a chain and has really blossomed into a very loving dog who craves attention. We think Colby would do best with a family that doesn't live in a congested area with lots of noise and has another dog to play with. He doesn't care for delivery trucks entering his domain or lots of strangers. Colby is very smart but craves attention and stong leadership, He really needs a strong pack leader to help him along his journey. . He passed his professional obedience training with flying colors so he already knows the basics. He is up to date on vaccines, neutered, and microchipped. Colby is available for adoption at www.dirtroaddoggiesrescue.org         ##1087310##

Story
JosieBreed: Jack Russel TerrierFemaleDOB: 1/10/19Adoption Fee: $200Josie is a very shy girl who needs a calm environment to live in. She does have anxiety. So, the calmer the better! She would make a good couch potato and would love cuddles. She is a super sweet dog that just needs someone that will be by her side through thick and thin. She would most likely open up quickly if she were able to get into a comfy and cozy home. If you believe Josie sounds like your kind of dog come pay her a visit now! Please read the animal bios completely before requesting additional information as we do our best to answer the most frequently ask questions in these bios. In order to adopt one of our animals an application must be submitted and approved. You can find these applications by going to http://humanemorgan.org/index.php?page=adoption ABOUT ADOPTING FROM THE HSMC: The shelter address is 1170 Fairground Rd. Madison, GA 30650. For more information on any of our pets, please feel free to email us at INFO@HUMANEMORGAN.ORG give us a call at 706-343-9977. All dogs are heartworm negative, current on vaccines/dewormings, and microchipped. All cats are FeLv/FIV negative, current on vaccines/dewormings, and microchipped. We are open 10am-5pm Monday-Saturday, we schedule our last adoption at 4pm everyday to allow our staff enough time to feed and walk dogs. We are an animal shelter and therefore are not able to individually potty train our residents. Many adult dogs do arrive “house broken” however due to animal behavior any change in environment will make an emotional impact on the animals and therefore initiate unwanted behaviors during the acclamation period. Please keep this in mind. Puppies do not have the biological maturity to maintain absolute bladder or bowel control and will require a certain degree of potty training and house breaking. Please consider the time and commitment it takes to provide the necessary building blocks for these special babies, prior to submitting your application. If you have any questions please email us at info@humanemorgan.org and provide name of the animal you are interested in, in the subject line. Story
Heeeeyyy! I’m Rowdy and I am a balllllll dog! I just returned from several weeks in training to become the best dog I can be. I am a young (two years), bright, and lively boy who sometimes gets a little too lively! I’m still learning to ramp myself down, so I need an experienced adopter. I also need an active home with no cats, other dogs, or children. Lure coursing? Barn hunting? Those sound like fantastic places to focus my terrier energy! I am not a couch potato, although I will snuggle when fully worn out. I’m not suitable for apartment or condo living and I need a secure, above-ground, fenced yard to keep my energy contained.
