Story
Name: Roxy Breed: Jack Russell Terrier MixSex/Age/Weight: Female/8 years old/10lbsVetting: Up to date on vaccines, spayed, microchipped, and heartworm negative. Please see the special notes regarding Roxy's cancer diagnosis. House-trained/Crate-trained: I am fully house-trained and crate-trained, although my foster parents leave me out of the crate when they are not around. I spend most of my time sleeping anyways.Dogs/Cats/Children: I would prefer to be the only dog in the home. I also don’t like cats very much. I have never been around children inside a home but I have met a couple on walks and I seem to like them. Energy Level: Low energy but I enjoy going on short walks. Before FAR/My History: Before coming to FAR, I was surrendered due to a cancerous mass. Since then, I have undergone three surgeries to remove the masses. The vet mentioned that there is still a possibility that the cancer may have spread to other parts of my body. There is also a possibility that the cancerous masses that were removed will come back. The type of cancer I have is an aggressive form of doggy breast cancer. However, I have been doing well and have been gaining weight under the care of my foster parents. Things I like: Cuddles, treats, and getting love. Things I don’t like: Loud noises.Ideal Family/Home: I am a senior dog with special needs, but I am still a loving and sweet companion. I am hoping to find a peaceful and comfortable place to spend my golden years.Special Notes: Roxy is a senior dog with special needs, and due to her cancer diagnosis may require extensive medical care.If you are interested in giving Roxy a forever home, please visit the link below to fill out an application! http://fureverafterrescue.org/adoption-application.html It is best to submit an application through a computer. Story
Huckleberry is all energy from morning till night. He needs a very active family without small children. He is bossy, so he would do best as an only dog. He is very affectionate, but because he lived his first three years on a chain, he is still learning to play. He loves stuffed animals and blankets, and is doing well on his crate training. We would like to find him a family that understands the Jack Russell breed.

Story
Heeeeyyy! I’m Rowdy and I am a balllllll dog! I just returned from several weeks in training to become the best dog I can be. I am a young (two years), bright, and lively boy who sometimes gets a little too lively! I’m still learning to ramp myself down, so I need an experienced adopter. I also need an active home with no cats, other dogs, or children. Lure coursing? Barn hunting? Those sound like fantastic places to focus my terrier energy! I am not a couch potato, although I will snuggle when fully worn out. I’m not suitable for apartment or condo living and I need a secure, above-ground, fenced yard to keep my energy contained. Story
Hey, guys! Ollie here. They say I am a handsome boy … and a hot mess! Who me?! Not sure what that means but I am sure it’s good because I am grand, baby! I came from an unknown but probably not good background. I just got neutered, which they which say will help install a brain, but I lived two or three years without one so I’m not sure I need it! 🙂 Got my shots, too. I’m about 14 pounds and devilishly good-looking. I am not familiar with houses at all. I can leave a clean crate overnight but I will pee the instant I get out. Mama Donna says she loves me anyway, but also says I need a belly band until I get some proper training. I get along with other dogs just fine. I do need a secure, above-ground fenced yard because I will wander off without meaning to. What can I say, there are so many things to see and sniff! Story
Howdy, everyone! Dolly here. I’m an outgoing girl who is good with most dogs and people. I was just spayed Oct. 8, and am now UTD on my shots, microchipped, and ready to roll after recovery. I am a sweet girl about 2 years old and am the “beige version” of my already-adopted sister, Penny (now Cookie). I am learning to walk on a leash and am really getting the hang of it. Before, I would just lie there like a brick and stare at you. Now I know it means we’re going on adventures! Woohoo! As with all of the rescues here, I will require a secure, above-ground fenced yard to keep me safe. https://www.jackrusselladoptions.org/adopt-a-dog/
