Story
Peanut Butter and his Mom Jelly were pulled from Clayton County Animal Control after they both landed on the euthanisa list.  He is a bundle of sweet energy and is very loving and loves to be held.  He's a cuddle bug and loves to sing like a Husky likes to do.  Both he and his Mom had Demodex Mange while in the shelter which isn't contagious but takes a little while to clear up.  They are both on Credelio which is a flea/tick med that also helps with this condition.  This is available at most veterinarian offices. We believe his Mom is a Blue Heeler Siberian Husky mix. ##2251440##

PLEASE COMPLETE THE ADOPTION APPLICATION FIRST. WE DO NOT RESPOND TO ONLINE INQUIRIES - ONLY ADOPTION APPLICANTS. ADOPTION LINK: https://airtable.com/appJMHBItTE2RWdqD/shrsP6tKWM2HcFZaA WE DO NOT ADOPT OUT OF STATE AT THIS TIME - GEORGIA ADOPTIONS ONLY. WE ARE LOCATED IN ATLANTA, GA. Meet Snoopy! Snoopy is a sweet 1 year old, 30 lb puppy looking for his forever family! He’s a bundle of joy who loves all dogs, though he can be a little shy around new people. But give him a bit of time, and he’ll warm up and show his fun, playful side! Snoopy is a super smart little guy! He’s already crate trained and house trained, and he’s learning how to walk well on the leash. He loves to play and does best with other dogs who are patient and understanding of his puppy energy. As a young pup, he’s still learning and will need to continue training—he’s still figuring out that jumping and being mouthy aren’t always the best ways to say “hello!” But these are typical puppy behaviors and just add to his charm! To help Snoopy succeed, we sponsor training sessions as part of our rescue program with our amazing partners at Mirror Image K9. Plus, we offer a 30-day foster-to-adopt trial to make sure Snoopy is the perfect match for your family. Ready to welcome this lovable boy into your life? Follow Snoopy’s journey on Instagram and Facebook at @ozziealbiesfoundation and see all the ways he’s growing and learning each day!

Story
LOOKING FOR LOVE:  Approx. 13 years old / Approx. 19 lbs.  Hi, I’m Nitro!  My foster says that I’m a sweet and loyal senior companion who has the cutest white eyebrows and brown Yoda ears, a wiggle butt with an adorable nub tail, and a happy, curious, and silly personality. I was adopted for about 3 years but came back to Mostly Mutts due to being protective of my mom and biting the grandson. I don’t really recall the circumstances of that, but I have not shown that behavior in my foster home and my foster will be happy to talk to you about how great I’m doing in their home.  • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I have previously wanted to be an only dog as I showed resource guarding, but in my foster home I’m living with 2 larger dogs, and I’ve done just fine with them after a proper introduction.  I am mostly disinterested in them and don't want to play, but we coexist and go for walks together well, etc.  I also like the other senior foster dog since she just likes to nap nearby.  So, if you have a dog that sounds like this, we could meet and see how we do together.  I also don’t react to them on walks, I’m quite indifferent to seeing them from afar.  / No cats please. / No kids please due to the bite in my former home. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I’m very devoted, loving, and sweet to my people! I’ll do best in a home where there are not too many new people coming and going because it can take a little bit for me to warm up to new folks. But once I trust you, I will nudge you to keep petting me if you stop, climb into your lap to kiss your face, and follow you everywhere around the house. I am a huge lovebug!  When I lived at the MM shelter, I was very overwhelmed/stressed with the number of people I was exposed to each day, so I had a few favorite people and there were a few bites when others came up to us suddenly.  Again, I haven’t shown any of this in my foster home.  I have a bit more weakness in my back legs and find myself a bit more tired these days so look for me napping on the multiple dogs beds around my foster home.  / My energy level is around a 3-4 and a bit higher if there is food involved! I get SO excited for food and will perk up my ears, do my tippy-tappy dance, and wiggle my entire behind whenever I hear the slightest crinkle of any bag, so cute!                           • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I am very food motivated which is great for training. I’m an expert at sitting, and I will offer a sit to you anytime I think you have treats. I will come when you shake a bag of treats. My foster mom is working with me on not jumping up and other commands like stay, etc. When I lived at the shelter, I knew more commands, but I’m happy with the ones I remember now and if you would like to work on more with me, we can do that. / I've not loved the crate in the past, but I do great in a secure pen or a small room when you need to leave me alone. / I have good potty manners in my foster home on a schedule. During the day I can hold it for up to 4 hours, and then at night I hold it all night for 8 hours!    • LIKES/DISLIKES:  My two favorite things are eating food and being petted by my people. I also love short trots around the yard, bones, car rides, and fuzzy blankets! I enjoy looking out windows and rolling around in the grass outside too. I have a great nose and love to sniff around in the yard or play with puzzle toys inside.  I am curious about sights, sounds, and smells on my walks in the neighborhood or at the park with my foster.  My foster takes me out in a dog stroller so I can still have great adventures without walking too far. / I don’t like meeting people too quickly, so it is best to give me a little time to get to know you. Let me come to you instead of reaching for me. I will also bark at loud cars that pass by on walks, though I don’t bark much otherwise. I can't do stairs that well. I can manage a few, but if there is an entire flight of stairs, you'll have to pick me up which I have been fine with in my foster home. I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love and attention too. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered.  I have a collapsing trachea so I should take shorter walks, led with a harness not a collar.  I should also not be walked much when it’s hot outside - just to go to the potty or to a cool stream. I’ve been diagnosed with Cushing’s. I’ll need annual testing for Cushing’s, and I had that in Feb. 2024.  I am also being monitored for my liver function.  I take 3 medications, all quite easily for my foster! Just ask about these.  If you’re looking for a devoted dog and have a nice quiet home environment, we could be a good match!  My adoption fee is $100.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  November 3, 2024, 8:07 am

Story
A BUNDLE OF FUN & JOY:  Approx. 3 years old / Approx. 26 lbs. Hi, my name’s Jacob!  Mostly Mutts rescued me from animal control.  I’m so glad to be in a safe, loving place where I am getting all the love and attention I deserve while waiting for my furever family to find me.  If you are looking for a fun, furry family member, come meet me soon! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I met some dogs recently at Mostly Mutts and although I didn’t want to play with them, I also didn’t show any aggression.  I also did not react to the dogs I saw on a day trip at the park.  So, if you have a nice dog at home, let’s meet and see if we can be pals.  / Cats unknown. / I haven’t officially met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, however I was sweet with two boys, around ages 5 and 12 that I met at the park on a day trip.  If you have kids, let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over.  • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I am a friendly fellow who is as sweet and smart as I am handsome.  A volunteer I went on a day trip with described me as ‘the perfect package’!  I will ask to be petted and love head/ear rubs.  Though shy and calm for my shelter bath and nail trim, I have a playfulness that is typical of my fun JRT breed. / My energy level is 4-6+. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I am a student in the Mostly Mutts University training program, where I am learning lots of great commands with my trainer.  So far, I’ve mastered the ‘sit’, ‘down’, ‘stay’ and ‘leave it’ commands.  I’m working with my trainer on curbing my leg mounting behavior, so our walks to be fun for us both. This is improving, though someone with mobility issues should not walk me right now.  I bet you can teach me even more, as I am a smart guy! / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts. / My potty habits have been good on the shelter schedule, so hopefully that will be the case in my new home, too. • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I absolutely love toys, so let’s have lots of great play sessions together.  I like riding in the car and I stayed calm in the backseat on the way to the park for a day trip.  I’m always happy to be with my people and look forward to being included in all the fun goings-on as part of the family in my new home. / I can’t think of any dislikes, though I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered. I am looking for a great home with a loving furever family! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  December 8, 2024, 8:42 am

Story
A SWEET & FUN FRIEND:  Approx. 3 years old / Approx. 16 lbs.  Hi, my name is Darcey!  I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control with another dog and I’m happy to be here!  I was a bit nervous initially, but I am settling in as I realize I am in a safe place with lots of folks who love me and want to see me find my furever family.  I’m ready to do that now! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I came to Mostly Mutts with another dog – though I didn’t like the dogs I met at Mostly Mutts and recently, I’ve not really even cared for walking with the dog I came in with.  So, it doesn’t look great – but if you have another dog, we could meet along with a trainer and see if we can be pals. / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, so let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over or that may fall on me.    • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  The volunteers took things slowly with me initially and now my wonderful nature has blossomed!  I’m described as fun, playful and super sweet and I know you will love my friendly nature.  I’m alert to my surroundings and am a barker, so best no apartment or condo-type home please.  I was a well-mannered little girl for my bath and did great for my nail trim, too. / My energy level is 5-7. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I am a student in the Mostly Mutts University training program, where I look forward to learning lots of great commands with my trainer.  I’ve mastered the ‘sit’ command so far.  Check back soon to see my progress. / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts. / I've had a few accidents on the shelter schedule, so please continue to be consistent with me on a good schedule, so I can master my potty skills. • LIKES/DISLIKES:  Playtime is always fun, and I really like for the volunteers to bring out the toys.  I’m a good walker, so I hope there are lots of walks in our future.  I’m ready to be your fun companion! / Other than showing reactiveness to other dogs I see when out and about, I can’t think of any dislikes, though  I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. I am looking for a loving home with a wonderful family! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  December 6, 2024, 9:00 am
