NAME:  Bagel BREED:  Terrier mix SEX:  female COLOR:  white/red AGE:  4 yrs as of January 2025 WEIGHT:  14 lbs FOSTERED BY: LOCATED IN: NOTES FROM FOSTER FAMILY: Shy with people at first, loves to play with other dogs, active, will need leash training, She would not do well with young children.  She can still sometimes get scared of new things and people and children move fast.  She would need to be in an adult only home with person/couple that will let her settle in and feel safe.  She still does get nervous being picked up until she knows someone so just need someone that can go slow with her.  Bagel will do best in a home with another dog where she can learn the ropes and have a friend to play with.   Due to COVID-19 we are a little more limited on volunteers and the availability (and safety) of home visits.   Local applications are given first priority and some out of town areas will not be able to be processed. At this time, we will only be able to process applications that have an excellent current vet history.  If you haven’t had a pet or verifiable vet history we will not be able to process your application.    If you are interested in adopting please complete our Adoption Application by copying and pasting the following link into your web browser: http://www.caninecastaways.org/adoption-application For a full list of dogs we currently have for adoption use this link:  https://www.caninecastaways.org/adoptable-dogs MEDICAL INFO: The following has been or will be done for this dog... - Basic Exam by Veterinarian - Spayed or Neutered - Heartworm Tested - Placed on heartworm preventive - Basic Bloodwork - Urinalysis - Microchipped - Intestinal Parasite Exam and medication - Vaccinations - Placed on Flea preventive ADOPTION DONATION: $300 This adoption donation helps to cover the vet expenses for this dog including heartworm preventive which is dispensed at the initial vet visit and then goes with the dog at adoption. Story
Hi, I'm Penelope! I'm a happy, friendly girl who was surrendered by my owner with my little puppies as they were unable to keep me. I was good mama and now that my mama duties are done and my babies are starting to find their forever homes, I'm ready for my next chapter. Guardians of FL Animal Rescue made sure I received the medical and general care I needed to be ready for my new forever home. I'm estimated at around 1 year old and appear to be a jack Russell mix. My adoption fee is $350 and includes vet check, deworming, up to date shots, heartworm test (negative) microchip and spay. If you are interested in adopting me, please complete an application at www.gofar.dog under 'Adopt' at your earliest convenience. If you have questions, email my rescue at adoptions@gofar.dog. If you'd like to experience all the love I have, and want to make me part of your family, please complete the adoption application by pasting this link into your browser: https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=sm2546&method=online_form_html&formid=21

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.   Jake is a handsome young short hair Jack Russell Terrier/Mix weighing about 19 lbs. about 1 year 9 months old. Jake very shy but, he does  enjoys the company of other dogs.  This little guy is crate trained but Jake will need continued training, he does admirably well and surely has the “right stuff”. Like so many rescues, Jake’s beginnings were less than ideal. Yet this boy absolutely looks to be loved. With the right guidance, Jake will continue learning to receive love. His social skills are constantly improving, his trust in humans is growing daily but needs someone that knows about dogs with special needs. He  is such a tender and sweet boy to welcome into your home. Jakes Ideal home is a House  with an enclosed back yard is required, so he can run and play safely.  Also, Jake would also prefer someone who is home often  does not like walking on a leash ,would need work and needs a fellow playmate.      For more information go to www.FureverHomeRescue.dog  Jake is waiting for you!!!  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.    October 23, 2024, 12:06 am
