Story
Looks like: Jack Russell Terrier/Chihuahua mix Male, 9 years old (estimated), 18 pounds Handsome Bobby has really come out of his shell while in his loving foster home. He experienced some bullying from other dogs in the shelter, and while he can still get scared occasionally, he walks well on leash and greets new dogs with a quick, polite sniff. He's closely bonded with his human and enjoys meeting new people. We have not yet had the opportunity to see how he is with cats or children, but we can imagine with his shy and gentle nature he would be just fine under the watchful eye of his pet parent. Bobby is a low-maintenance sweetheart who would enjoy a cozy home where he's the only dog. Bobby joined us from Kern County Animal Services.

Our adoption fees vary. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee. This dog will be at Palo Alto Pet Food Express on Saturday, October 19th from 12-3pm or until adopted. If you would like the first opportunity to adopt, please fill out an application to be considered.   Adoption Fee: $500 Bicycle is a 2 year old Jack Russell Terrier x Maltese mix looking for his wheels and his new family! Bicycle came into our rescue with his brothers, Unicycle and Tricycle. They were saved from a hoarding situation and taken to one of our partner shelters. They reached out to us and asked if we could find these brothers amazing forever homes and of course we said yes! Bicycle weighs 18 pounds and has a super soft coat with fabulous coloring. This dude is ready to hit the road and make the most of life with you! Come on down to the bike shop and check out our newest Bicycle!  If we had to describe Bicycle with a Senior Superlative, he would win “Biggest Love Bug”. Bicycle is kind of like a cat when you first meet him. He’s shy so he does best if you let him come to you rather than approaching him first. Once he feels comfortable, you see him come closer and closer until he’s settling down next to you and letting you pet his soft hair. Bicycle is getting used to the world around him and every day is a new adventure as he explores his home and yard. He adores his foster sibling who has helped his confidence grow in leaps and bounds. He’s made so much progress in only a few short weeks and we know his next chapter is going to be one for the history books! Bicycle would be an amazing WFH buddy as he’s happy to hang out quietly as you go about your day. We think he’d be an amazing lap dog once he feels at home with you. What more could you ask for with a cute little face and a fluffy body!  Bicycle wakes up when the resident dog wakes up and follows her outside. Once he does his business, he comes inside for a treat followed by a morning nap in his soft bed. He likes to graze on his kibble throughout the day and tends to play musical chairs among all the soft cushions and beds in his foster home as he lounges. We know he’s got a lot of life behind him but we also know it’s only looking up! He’s still working on his leash walking but he does do some playtime in the yard in the evening before dinner. Once he finishes eating, he settles down for the night in his bed and drifts off to sleep.  Bicycle lives with another dog and would ideally have a furry sibling in his forever home. He gains confidence when he can model his behaviors on another confident dog. Bicycle would benefit from additional training and socialization as he gets more comfortable. He has met new people and does well when they give him time to settle and feel at ease. We know this Bicycle has many trails ahead of him!   Bicycle is only an option for homes who currently own a dog and have experience with shy dogs. Kids should be over the age of 15. October 16, 2024, 9:10 am

Our adoption fees vary. Tricycle was rescued from a hoarding situation with his brothers, Unicycle and Bicycle. We promised to find these amazing pups the best forever homes and after inflating their tires and giving them some TLC, we were ready to hit the trails! Tricycle weighs 15 pounds and has that perfect JRT body for those who know and love the breed. If you’re ready for a new companion to take on life with, come on down to the DPS bike shop and meet Tricycle!        Tricycle is like a caterpillar: we know that inside of him is a gorgeous butterfly just waiting to unfurl his wings and fly! Tricycle came to us very scared of the world around him as it hadn’t been so kind to him. We gave him the time he needed to decompress and could tell he knew life was only going to get better from there. Fast forward a few days, Tricycle was getting comfortable and started giving some puppy kisses to his foster mom. He’s even started figuring out how amazing a good long belly rub can be and his little tail wags when he sees his treats. We’ve seen him gain bravery as the days pass by which is just the most rewarding aspect of rescue in the world. Tricycle even found out how amazing being cuddled is and he will sit by your side on the couch quietly as he soaks up your love. Tricycle is a loving guy who just wants to show you how much potential he has if you give him the chance. Once you earn his trust, you will be rewarded with a lifetime of devotion. Tricycle is super smart as well as any good JRT is and he’s perceptive too! One day he saw his canine foster sibling perform for a treat and the next day he was doing his best to mirror the behavior for the reward. What a genius we have on our hands! Tricycle can’t wait to pedal his way into your heart and never leave again!  Tricycle starts his morning when his foster mom starts the coffee pot, around 6 AM. He heads out for a potty session before returning to his pen for breakfast. Once he’s finished eating, he gets a cuddle session before his foster mom heads to work. During the day, Tricycle snoozes off and on in his various plush beds. He loves to sunbathe and is often found sleeping on his back as he soaks up the sun. Once his foster mom comes home, he goes out on a walk to stretch his legs and sniff. Dinner is served around 6 PM followed by some TV watching on the couch. He goes out for one last potty before going back into his pen around 11 PM.  Tricycle has always lived with other dogs and would benefit from a resident confident dog in his forever home. He adores his people and will cautiously meet new people as long as his person is nearby to encourage him. He loves his walks and is getting braver at exploring the world outside the front door. Tricycle will require a home prepared to continue his socialization and exposure training to ensure his confidence continues to grow. Come on and unlock the bike lock on Tricycle’s heart and meet your new pal!      Tricycle is only an option for homes with prior dog owning experience. He is an option for foster to adopt. Tricycle would be best suited for an adult-only home. October 16, 2024, 9:10 am

Story
**Meet puppy, Moo, this Saturday, October 19th from 10:00 to 1:00 at Dublin Petsmart West, 6960 Amador Plaza Rd.** Got Moo? A little cow look-alike, Moo is an adorable and fun-loving girl ready to bring joy and laughter to your life! With super intelligence and a patient nature, she is the perfect blend of playfulness and snuggles. And always up for an adventure! Moo is talkative and good at figuring out games. Whether it's playing fetch in the yard, exploring new toys or winding down with some cozy cuddle time, she is eager to please and learn. She is good at making it to the potty pad and not fussing too much over her food (by saving a little reserve for her when others gobble hers, she is a slow eater). She thrives with guidance and love, playtime, and naps. If you are interested in Moo, an application is required. You can submit an application by clicking the "Apply For Adoption box " located below her photos on the right side.
