Story
This little potato just wants to be warmed.  He is a bundle of love and a HUGGER.  Despite his young age he is a mild mannered puppy.  He does great with dogs but due to time out fending off other candids he prefers well mannered friends so he can get comfortable and introduce himself confidently before doing zoomies.  He loves people and greets most he meets with his paws and a request to be held or a treat.  He is great on leash, enjoys walks and is equally pleased to sit in a lap.  We've had him at chaotic events and he was unphased as long as a person was there to cheer him on.  He's ready to move in.  Do you have room to make him part of your forever? ##2205019##

Story
Story/descripción HE WAS FOUND WITH TWO PUPPIES UNDER A HIGHWAY BRIDGE. UNFORTUNATELY, ONE OF THEM TESTED POSITIVE FOR DISTEMPER AND, BECAUSE THE DISEASE WAS ALREADY VERY ADVANCED, HE DIED A FEW DAYS AFTER STARTING HIS TREATMENT. ELMER AND THE OTHER PUPPY, TITAN, WERE PLACED IN QUARANTINE AS A PREVENTIVE MEASURE. HOWEVER, ONE DAY AFTER THE END OF QUARANTINE, TITAN SHOWED DISTEMPER SYMPTOMS AND, LIKE THE FIRST PUPPY, DIED DESPITE RECEIVING TREATMENT. THIS WAS HOW ELMER BECAME THE ONLY SURVIVOR OF THIS RESCUE. TODAY ELMER IS COMPLETELY HEALTHY AND WITHOUT ANY KIND OF SEQUEL AND IS LOOKING FOR A LOVING FAMILY THAT WILL CONSENT HIM. ELMER IS A FAITHFUL COMPANION WHO LOVES TO BE HUGGED AND Cuddled. HE WILL LOVE TO TAKE WALKS AND WALKS WITH YOU. IT IS PLAYFUL AND FRIENDLY, WHICH MAKES IT IDEAL TO BE WITH CHILDREN AND LITTLE ONES. HE LIKES TO EXPLORE, DISCOVER NEW THINGS, MEET PEOPLE AND ABOVE ALL PLAY. The $350.00 adoption fee covers the following: Transport to San Diego, CA. Spay/Neuter. All vaccines up to date. Deworming (puppies 2 sets). Flea medication up to date. Tick control up to date. Microchip. Microchip registration to new owner paid for. Collar. Temporary leash. Story
Meet the most fabulous tripod! Hello there! My name is Matilda, and I'm a resilient 2-year-old, 14-pound spayed female terrier mix with a heart full of love and a spirit that can't be held back. I may be a tripod, but trust me, I've got more love and zest for life than you can imagine. I had a rough start, found in TJ walking on my hind legs due to unbearable pain in my front legs. Thanks to the care and love of my rescuers, I'm now on the road to recovery. I have a bone fungal infection that requires ongoing medical attention, and I visit the Vet Specialist regularly. Don't worry, it's not contagious, and I'm on top of my medications – Terbinafine ~$15.00 for a month's supply, Voriconazole ~$115.00 for 1 month supply, depending on market value and where purchased. Dasuquin to support joint mobility ~$41.00 for 3 months supply depending on market value and where purchased-- all to keep me happy, healthy, and moving. I am fully bathroom and leash trained. Now, let me tell you a bit about my wonderful personality. I'm a bit selective when it comes to furry friends, dogs and cats; just give me a slow introduction. I'm what they call a Velcro dog – I'll follow you everywhere, matching your energy whether you're in the mood for play or relaxation. I do have some anxieties, especially around new people and animals, so patience is key. Loud trucks and pushy pets aren't my favorite, and I prefer to have my humans' love all to myself. Despite my initial reservations, once I know you, I'm the ultimate companion, ready to be by your side 24/7. I'm pretty easygoing, enjoying lounging on the couch, basking in the sun, and playing with my toys by myself. I'd thrive in a quiet home with my own space, as an only dog or with a submissive dog or cat who respects boundaries. I do need proper home management of resource guarding (toys, beds, and food) around resident cats and dogs, and when with dog friends. If my environment is set up for success, I can rumble with dog pals and and co-exist with cats. In essence, I'm a gem of a dog, and I'm looking for a loving family to share my life with. If you're ready for a dog who will shower you with love and bring endless joy into your home, please consider giving me a chance. I promise, you won't regret it! If you work from home, that's even better – I need a potty break every 4ish hours. I'm okay being alone for about 4 hours, either crated or uncrated, but I do like to get my morning zoomies out and play with my stuffed animals. I should be in a home with children 10 years and older only. If you're interested in making me a part of your family, please reach out right away! My adoption fee is $350 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip. If you want to take me home, please fill out the form on the website here: https://theanimalpad.org/adoption-application/ Follow me on IG @tapinwithMatilda   ##1765244##

Story
It will be all oh-kai! Hi there! My name is Kai, and I’m a 4-year-old, 43-pound spayed Terrier mix. I was scooped up in Rosario, Mexico, where I was found underweight and living on the streets. I’ve come a long way since then and am ready to find my furever home! I’m a total sweetheart once you’ve earned my trust. I’ll then be your best friend and will be excited every time we see each other! I’m a high-energy gal, and I enjoy being your running buddy on runs through the neighborhood. My other favorite activities include chasing my Chuckit! ball, eating, playing tug-o-war, and sniffing for treats. I’m now fully potty-trained and crate-trained. Leash training is a work in progress, though, since I tend to pull a lot. My biggest challenge, however, is my stranger danger. I tend to become anxious and on high alert once I get outside of my comfort zone. No separation anxiety here, though, especially when I’m left behind with another doggie friend to play with. My ideal household would be a quieter home that had familiar people coming in and out. I’d love a nice backyard to play in, and I’d do just fine as either the only dog or with a well-rounded, confident doggie sibling. No kitties or children, please.  Other than that, a lot of patience and love will help me become my best self! My adoption fee is $250 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip.  If you want to take me home, please fill out the form on the website here: https://theanimalpad.org/adoption-application/.   ##1143469##

Story
sobbing while writing this. Bailey is six years old. She was found on the streets in Mexico and had lived in five foster homes before ours. Bailey is so loyal and loving! She is a great guard dog, always on alert protecting her family. She’s full of energy so she needs a home with a yard but that being said she’s great at sleeping on the couch/bed and just relaxing when needed. Bailey is not good with kids. She frightens easily and when scared she snaps and tries to bite. The reason we need to re home her is because our one year old son is severely allergic. We’ve tried the air purifiers, the medications, all the things and nothing is working. Currently Bailey isn’t getting the attention she deserves and it kills me but my son is suffering. She is so great and would be great for someone without kids.
