✅Currently located in South Korea✅️ 💟Available to fly to Vancouver & Toronto💟 Meet Haru🩶 Haru was rescued from the Gimje Shelter. While volunteering for the cold wave at the shelter, Adogs found Haru and little puppies trembling in the cold. The conditions at the shelter were too poor for her to survive, which led to her rescue. * With People: Loves people so much! Walks around on her little legs and enjoys licking everyone. * With Dogs: Gets along well with the other dog at the temporary shelter without any issues. * Separation Anxiety: As a puppy, she is gradually undergoing training to address separation anxiety. * Potty Training: Is practicing potty training on a pad. * Walks: Has not gone for walks yet, as she is still waiting for her vaccinations. 💌Special Notes💌 * As a puppy, she requires training in areas such as separation anxiety, potty training, biting, whining, nibbling, disorderly behavior, howling, and barking. * Her potential hair loss and growth size are difficult to predict, as her parents are unknown. Story
✅Currently located in South Korea✅️ 💟Available to fly to Vancouver & Toronto💟 Meet Chunjang🩶 * Chunjang was noticed by an Adogs volunteer after being neglected by an elderly owner, having given birth several times to puppies. The elderly owner kicked out Chunjang after neighbors who had been taking care of Chunjang moved away, leaving Chunjang shivering in fear when seeing her owner. * Toward People: Shows affection and follows people who are familiar to her, but needs time to open her heart to strangers. * Toward Dogs: Has no problems with the other dogs at the Center. Story
This little cutie is named Bristol!   Bristol is a sweet Jack Russell Terrier mix. He is 4 years old and weighs ~15 lbs.  Bristol’s journey to safety was nothing short of a miracle. He was found running on a busy highway in Guadalajara, narrowly escaping danger as cars sped by. In a moment of true bravery, his rescuer stopped traffic to save him from what could have been a tragic ending. Bristol was taken into the care of our rescue partners and his days of hardship on the streets are behind him. He’s ready for a fresh start with the forever family he so deserves.  Bristol is now living with a foster family in Guadalajara. He shares his home with dogs, cats, adults, and kids. He’s great with dogs of all ages & sizes, and gets along well with kitties too. Bristol has shown himself to be one of the most friendly, well-rounded dogs you’ll meet. He’s an absolute sweetheart, always smiling, wagging his tail, and showing off his social charm. Being an adult dog, Bristol has moved past the “rambunctious puppy phase”. He’s very adaptable, takes things in stride, and rolls with whatever the day may bring. He enjoys daily walks and treasures quality time spent with his humans. Bristol has a gentle & easygoing nature, with a moderate energy level suitable for the average person/family. Living at a foster home, Bristol has mastered house training and uses a doggy door to let himself out for potty time. He has also learned leash walking and riding in a car. At night, he likes to sleep in his own doggy bed and snoozes like a champ right through the night. His fosters say that he is a well-behaved, intelligent boy who quickly learned the household rules & routines.  Bristol would be a perfect addition to any home, whether with a single person, a couple, or a family with kids. He would do well either as an only pet or alongside other dogs or cats. We are certain that this little dude will adjust well to his new home and fit like a glove with his future family.   VETTING:  Fully vaccinated.  Neutered.  Dewormed.  SNAP 4Dx negative (Heartworm, Lyme disease, Ehrlichia, and Anaplasma). Distemper negative.  Flea/tick/heartworm prevention. No known medical issues or injuries. He is missing a couple teeth from his time on the streets, but he has no issues with chewing/eating regular kibbles. He had a recent dental cleaning so his chompers are sparkly clean!   PLEASE NOTE: Bristol is currently in Mexico. There will be a $235 fee for transportation to BC. This will be discussed upon approval. ##2211695##

Story
(BONDED WITH CEREAL)My name is SOLSTICE (Lixia) and here is a little info about me:Breed: Terrier/Pekinese mixAge: 6 yrsGender: maleWeight: 13 lbsHeight: 8 inchesCountry of origin: ChinaHighlight(s): affectionate, cleanly, independent, gentle, quiet, obedient While independent, I also love affection. Since cleanliness is a big thing of mine, you can be assured you'll be snuggling a clean pup. My Chinese name, Lixia, means the beginning of Summer in my language. Quite appropriate, wouldn't you say? As I will bring sunshine into your life.A person who lives in the neighborhood of where we were found as strays saw us. Over the past four years, we were witnessed living together, relying on occasional leftover food from neighbors. This person always felt sorry for us, but lacked the means, ability, and courage to rescue us, all the while feeling guilty and helpless. Earlier this year, this lovely person noticed our condition deteriorating. We were navigating busy streets, scavenging from trash cans, and drinking dirty water mixed with food scraps and garbage. Our fur started getting matted and falling out, and I developed a bloody eye growth.Determined to save us, our overseeing angel posted our situation on social media. A rescuer  saw the plea and decided to help rescue us. We were transported to a nearby hospital for checkups and treatment. We were both severely malnourished and had poor coat conditions. We were properly treated and I underwent surgery for my eye problem. After treatment, we were discharged. Now our rescuer has taken us back to her town for foster care, until we can find a home together. I have been shaved down to treat my skin and remove all the mats. No worries, it will grow back for new photos later. It was discovered I have hypothyroidism and am on Euthyrox medication for it. I was checked for Cushing's, but that was negative. My most recent vet visit showed my hypothyroidism levels are back to normal, but continued monitoring is necessary, as it may be a lifelong condition. I have lost a few teeth and had dental tartar, but recently had a cleaning. I underwent eye surgery and needs regular eye drops to prevent dry eye. The vet confirmed my health is up to par at this time otherwise.I am well-behaved on a leash. Though I can get anxious if I feel too much separation from my people and quickly try to catch up. I am a sweet dog with an excellent temperament. I even willingly wear clothes. Good for those cold Canadian winters.Gentle and quiet is how my rescuer describes me. I am also an obedient pupper. I will line up patiently to wait for food too.My friend Xiaoman and I must be adopted together, as we are pretty bonded after surviving the streets together. We would likely adapt to most any home. We get along with other dogs, though we haven't been introduced to cats. I will soon be neutered, though not yet microchipped. Our adoption fee together is $1500.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. This includes our transportation to Canada, if we are able to be accompanied by a flight volunteer directly to Vancouver. Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or  Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. ##2081369##

THIS IS A COURTESY POST. PLEASE CONTACT THE PERSON OR GROUP LISTED BELOW. THIS IS NOT A LOVED AT LAST DOG.  Please do NOT submit an application through LALDR. Please contact Robyn at 604-716-8204 or rfashler@gmail.com for more information or to adopt. Dog's name: PennyAge: 10Breed, if known (best guess): Jack Russell Terrier mixWeight: 12.9kg / 28lbsGender: Female **NEW FUR-EVER HOME OR LONG-TERM FOSTER NEEDED** Meet Miss Penny! Penny is a wonderful dog. She is smart, sweet, chill, and loves spending quality time with her humans, though she is not much of a cuddler. Some of her favourite activities are basking in the sunshine, sniffing through tall grass, gazing out windows, and joining her humans on car rides or road trips.  Penny is also extremely adaptable, flexible, and HIGHLY trainable. She's got all of her foundational commands down, plus some fancier ones, cooperative care protocol, and she's nice & polite walking on lead.  Penny is a VIP and needs to be in a one-dog, no-kid home. Penny is reactive to some situations and that does require management. Part of this is taking anti-anxiety medication (x3)/day. She would be best suited to someone who is experienced with behaviour modification and positive reinforcement training methods. I will be happy to have a full conversation regarding this with whoever is interested in adopting Penny. Penny is in excellent health, spayed, and is up to date on all of her shots.  We are asking for $150 which will be donated to the BCSPCA. Alternatively, for those who are interested in fostering her, the time frame we are looking for is ~1.5yr. Life with Penny is incredibly fulfilling, rewarding, fun, and heartwarming.  For those who are interested, please contact Robyn at 604-716-8204. THIS IS A COURTESY POST. Story
URGENT! Due to a new law enacted in my country, the rescuers can't retain the refuge, so dogs need homes before the end of the year. Please help. Good day. I'm Kaysee (Daisy) and here's a bit if ingo about me:Breed: Jack Russell Terrier mixAge: 4 yrsGender: FemaleWeight: 16 kg (35 lbs)Height: 47 cm (18-1/2 in)Country of origin: Republic of GeorgiaHighlights: confident, loves games, active, intelligent, inquisitive, independent, feisty Being confident, I am always into learning new games, especially things like agility skills, hoping you are into active fun and adventure too.My rescuer thinks I might have been abandoned or lost by a tourist. I was found eating trash by a dumpster and was soaking-wet from days in the rain. (Our city is the rainiest in the Black Sea region.) My hind leg or hip seemed to be injured and I had trouble walking. Thankfully, they brought me to the shelter, so I could be safe.Since I am inquisitive and intelligent, it would be terrific if you could teach me new things. I really love going for walks and am excellent on leash.Other enjoyments include swimming and playing in the water.I am affectionate and love getting attention from my humans. For example, I really enjoy being brushed, groomed, and having my teeth brushed. I'm also an excellent model and can pose very nicely. I love wearing different outfits and getting my picture taken.I am an adventurous eater, too and like trying out different kinds of food, like carrots, pumpkin, and peanut butter. While I play well with other dogs, if persistently annoyed, I will in typical Jack fashion, give them a what for. So probably good if I have a sibling that they understand boundaries. I'm not competitive though and will share human attentions with others. My rescuers noticed that I tend to sit on one haunch, which rubs my ankle raw on the ground. When treated with ointment and wrapped in a stretchy bandage though, I keep pulling it off. My leg is healed though. They think it may be due to stress from overcrowding. Vets here can’t find anything wrong with me, but unfortunately, vet care here is poor. I would benefit from more personal attention, which they find alleviates much of my distress.Overall, I'm a nice little dog, who just needs a chance to flourish in a regular home environment. Energy Level:  ModerateI get along with:Dogs: YesCats: Unknown, but probably noKids: Unknown, but probably yes Fears: None observed. Please be patient with me during my transition.Training:Leash training: Yes, superb. Please be prepared to continue training.House trained: Yes. Please help me learn where to go in my new home. Health notes: It is uncertain if from a past injury or if some other hip issue exists. I could use a further eval.I have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated and will be microchipped before arrival. My adoption fee is $800.00 CAD plus applicable taxes.
