✅Currently located in South Korea✅️ 💟Available to fly to Vancouver & Toronto💟 Meet Dodo🖤🤍 Dodo was rescued along with two other dogs, Dodam and Dorang, from a dog meat farm in Korea. Despite witnessing the cruelty of their fellow companions dying, Dodo still wagged his tail when he saw people. He is now in a foster home and doing well. * Interaction with people: Loves people and communicates well emotionally. Displays intimacy to strangers. Becomes full of charms once people become  familiar to him.  * Interaction with dogs: Wants to make friends with and approaches other dogs first with wagging his tail. Is whining and looking for caregivers when bothered by other dogs. * Interaction with cats: Trembles in fear when encountering cats. * Separation Anxiety: Enjoys his time alone but occasionally tears tissue or pads.  * Potty Training: Outdoor potty. Comes to foster and is whining indoors when nature calls him.  * Hygiene: Accepts baths calmly and does not make a fuss in getting dryed, brushed, and toenail trimmed. * Walks: Was afraid of unfamiliar environments or sounds but gradually improving. Was scared of steps before but currently overcame the fear.  * Car Sickness: Does not get car sickness and looks out the window in a car while being held.  * Follows the commands such as "Sit," "Paw," "The other paw," "Hi-five," "Come here" and "Wait." Can understand "Wait" even in English.

Story
Bonjour my friends! My name is René and here's some deets about me: PHYSICAL INFO: Breed: Terrier mix Age: 5.5 months approx.  Gender: Male Weight: 15lbs (7 kg)  Current Location: Guadalajara Mexico RESCUE STORY - A renowned pastry chef in my previous lifetime, I am now cursed to live this one as a canine...However I shall make the best of it! Even though it has taken some getting used to...you see, I was found by my rescuer as a babe of about 3 months young in dire condition indeed. I wasn't used to begging for scraps on the streets you see (begging! me?!) and my state was so bad that I had to be hospitalized for one full week - gulp! Thankfully, luck was on my side and I pulled through so as to continue living this humbling existence. Now I am ready for my furever family, my silk sheets, my air conditioning and my sparkling water please! Okay truth be told, I've grown rather used to being a pooch and I quite like the simple things life has to offer...like bottle caps and plastic bottles and even hugs and kisses. Actually, I have grown to be quite an adaptable pup indeed - one who can be transported easily, left alone for extended periods of time and is quite happy sitting by your side watching the food network! So perhaps you and me can be a family, oui oui? TEMPERAMENT - I am a calm, relaxed, loyal doggo who is happy cuddling with you, greeting you after a long day of work and slowly plotting my return to human form. I am the CHILL pooch at the dog park (I really don't see the need for a big fuss) however this doesn't mean I don't know how to have some fun! I do indeed like to play with doggos and hoomans alike, I just also really respect my beauty sleep (ahem). I have been coined as an *affectionate* pup and I see no lies there. Hoomans are alright - I would know! ENERGY LEVEL - Low GETS ALONG WITH: Kids – Yes! I have been tested with older kids.  Dogs – I get along well with other pups and currently live with many other doggos at my foster's house as you can see here! Cats – Unknown but can be tested upon request PREY DRIVE - Unknown. I’m not too sure how I’ll react around squirrels/rabbits etc. My adopter needs to be prepared and willing to train me through these behaviours, should they arise. TRAINING: Leash skills – My rescuers say I am okay with my leash skills as you can see in my video, however I may need some additional patience and training. House trained – My rescuer says I am okay with this but I may need some additional training and patience.  Crate trained – My rescuer says I am okay with this but I may need some additional training and patience.  Car rides – My rescuer says I am good with this but I may need some additional training and patience.  Please Note: WCP highly encourages adopters to do some research and training on their own before their dog arrives.  HEALTH NOTES:  I am neutered and vaccinated. NOTE: dogs from Guadalajara are not microchipped. NOTE: It is not uncommon for rescue dogs to require dental work/cleaning after they are adopted. West Coast Paws does not cover the costs of dental work and/or vet visits. These costs are the financial responsibility of the adopter. ADOPTION FEE: My adoption fee is $840.00 CAD including tax (5% GST, 7% PST), which includes my airfare, if a flight volunteer is found directly to Vancouver. ------------------------------------- DISCLAIMER: Please visit wcpdogrescue.com to read about West Coast Paws Dog Rescue and it's adoption process. The info included in each WCP bio is provided to us from the international rescuer. WCP does not have in-person access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions, although we ask for video proof of a dog's attributes wherever possible. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person(s) adopting them and the environment in which they live.  WCP is unable to guarantee the accuracy of a dogs age and/or breed. Story
This little cutie is named Bristol!   Bristol is a sweet Jack Russell Terrier mix. He is 4 years old and weighs ~15 lbs.  Bristol’s journey to safety was nothing short of a miracle. He was found running on a busy highway in Guadalajara, narrowly escaping danger as cars sped by. In a moment of true bravery, his rescuer stopped traffic to save him from what could have been a tragic ending. Bristol was taken into the care of our rescue partners and his days of hardship on the streets are behind him. He’s ready for a fresh start with the forever family he so deserves.  Bristol is now living with a foster family in Guadalajara. He shares his home with dogs, cats, adults, and kids. He’s great with dogs of all ages & sizes, and gets along well with kitties too. Bristol has shown himself to be one of the most friendly, well-rounded dogs you’ll meet. He’s an absolute sweetheart, always smiling, wagging his tail, and showing off his social charm. Being an adult dog, Bristol has moved past the “rambunctious puppy phase”. He’s very adaptable, takes things in stride, and rolls with whatever the day may bring. He enjoys daily walks and treasures quality time spent with his humans. Bristol has a gentle & easygoing nature, with a moderate energy level suitable for the average person/family. Living at a foster home, Bristol has mastered house training and uses a doggy door to let himself out for potty time. He has also learned leash walking and riding in a car. At night, he likes to sleep in his own doggy bed and snoozes like a champ right through the night. His fosters say that he is a well-behaved, intelligent boy who quickly learned the household rules & routines.  Bristol would be a perfect addition to any home, whether with a single person, a couple, or a family with kids. He would do well either as an only pet or alongside other dogs or cats. We are certain that this little dude will adjust well to his new home and fit like a glove with his future family.   VETTING:  Fully vaccinated.  Neutered.  Dewormed.  SNAP 4Dx negative (Heartworm, Lyme disease, Ehrlichia, and Anaplasma). Distemper negative.  Flea/tick/heartworm prevention. No known medical issues or injuries. He is missing a couple teeth from his time on the streets, but he has no issues with chewing/eating regular kibbles. He had a recent dental cleaning so his chompers are sparkly clean!   PLEASE NOTE: Bristol is currently in Mexico. There will be a $235 fee for transportation to BC. This will be discussed upon approval. ##2211695##
