Thanks to a good samaritan's eagle eyes, Bella was spotted on the road. When she disappeared, her savior kept searching until she was found again - she had crawled underneath their car out of fear. At first, we assumed she was a puppy, and looking at her sweet face and smaller stature, it's easy to see why. But according to her teeth, she's at least a year old. We'd be surprised if she got much bigger than her petite 25-30ish pounds.Get to Know Her: Bella is a fun and enthusiastic player. She enjoys toys but she likes affection from humans even more. So far, she's never met a stranger; every human she spots is a potential playmate. Bella has done well with meeting all the dogs we've thrown her way! She has met adult dogs larger than her and small breed puppies - although her play style can be rambunctions at times, she doesn't discriminate when it comes to making new friends and is equally receptive to males and other females. At her estimated one year of age, the puppy energy is undeniably present. However, she's capable of compartmentalizing her play and makes sure to be full of manners when she's supervised indoors or as office dog even while she wrestles, leaps, and rolls outside. She's happy to lay on the couch in our office, cuddle up to a big stuffed toy, and doze off listening to the ring of the phone and the clacking of the keyboard. Her social skills with people are admirable! She may need some guidance when it comes to being around smaller children solely due to her playfulness and inital excitement, but her sweet and eager to please nature bodes well for her ability to quickly pick up on some manners! We'd pegged her as a hyper dog when she first arrived, but as she's been here now for just over a month and spends a ton of time every day playing, expending energy with her friends, and gaining confidence, her energy level has evend out to what we see today - that is, an enthusiastic gal who can read the room and know when to chill vs romp. With Bella's ideal mid-size, joyful outlook on life, and social attitude, we know she'd make the perfect dog for lots of people.
