No need to roll the dice on this one- Domino is a sure win! Domino is an approximately seven-months-old mutt mix, weighing around 17 pounds. He came to Chi Town Rescue with 10 other dogs, from a hoarding situation. The owner was moving and wanted all the dogs on the property euthanized, even though they were mostly young and healthy. Domino is a typical "hoarded" dog in that he is not entirely socialized with people, although he does great with other dogs. A canine friend in his new home may help Domino to warm up faster to a new environment. Domino can be shy and avoidant with new people, but has really started to blossom with those he knows. He has started to approach us for attention and pets, and when Domino really likes you, he will show you his ZOOMIES! Domino has started to show us his playful puppy personality. He loves to zoom and play with other dogs, and has even started to discover toys! Domino is basically a "blank canvas" and he's hoping YOU can help write his forever story. Domino would do best in a patient and loving home that will help him learn new things, including leash training and potty training. Howdy! My name is Brandi and I am a spunky, active Jack Russell terrier mix. I came in to the pound as a stray but, thankfully, was rescued by Forever loved. I am a pretty smart little girl who knows the commands ‘sit, ‘shake’, ‘get down’ and ‘no’. I like toys, puzzle mats and taking walks so I can use my nose to smell all those interesting scents. Even though I have blindness in one eye, you would never know that by my zest for life! I have so much fun playing tug-o-war, fetch or having you chase me around with my squeaky toy. I am very curious so I like to be around you to check out what you are doing---maybe I can help out! I love meeting new people friends who will gently pet me and rub my belly. I am shy for about 2 minutes, then my tail starts wagging! My favorite time is when we can settle down together and snuggle on the couch or at bedtime. You give me some hugs and pets and I’ll give you some kisses and look adoringly into your eyes. Such a sweet time of day! I hope that I can be your only pet ‘child’ because I don’t like to share my toys or my people with other dogs. And because of my terrier instincts, I probably wouldn’t do well with cats or small pets either. But I promise that I have plenty of love and energy for all of us! I am reliably housetrained. My fur is soft, but wiry, so there’s not much shedding but I do need a trim and a brush at times. I take an inexpensive allergy med to keep me from itching and it works very well. So that’s all about me—a pretty normal Jack Russell breed dog. I am cute, cuddly, active and stubborn at times. I would love to meet you and learn all about you and our future together!
