Dawn is a 2-year-old female Jack Russell Terrier mix who must be spayed before adoption.  She was found out in the county and no one came in to claim her.  Dawn has a white coat with lots of black markings--including one big black spot!  Dawn only weighs 20 pounds so she is the perfect size to fit in just about anywhere.  She is friendly, and has a spunky little personality.  Dawn would be good with children and other dogs.  Dawn is such a great little gal who can't wait to have a new start on life with a loving family.Dog/puppy adoption fees are $100.  Cat/kitten adoption fees are $50.  November 8, 2024, 8:36 am

I was given Sam 1 week after my fur baby had passed away. He was 6 months old. He’s a great pup dog and I do love him so much but due to the circumstances we just never bonded. I want better for Sam. I want him to have a family he is bonded to. He deserves that. I love him and he’s the most precious pup dog. He’s smart, obedient, loving, and calm. He’s kennel trained and potty trained. He doesn’t bark or whine or run away. I wish so badly we were bonded and I want to be selfish and keep him anyway but it just isn’t fair to him. He deserves attention and love and cuddles.

Rescued from kill shelter. Mom is 30lbs, pups average 3lbs at 8 wks, so will be small to medium. Not really sure of breed, but stinking cute! This puppy is not spayed/neutered yet. By adopting, you agree to bring it to A PARTICIPATING VET for spay/neuter, with a voucher provided by the rescue, between its 3rd and 6th month of age. The voucher will be mailed to you.  ##2220503##

Please make sure to read the narrative below our pet's photos as you will find a description of our pet with all we know about them, our adoption fee info, and you will find the link to do our online Adoption Application which is the first step in our Adoption Process!     Please read ALL below where you will find answers about the pet, our adoption fees and how to do our adoption application!   Pet Description:  Roscoe is a three-year-old male Jack Russell Terrier, 12 lbs.  Surrendered by his owner as just not a good fit for them.  He is a bit of a nervous fella so we are saying no to children for Roscoe.  He is actually rather laid-back for a JRT.  Is playful but not over the top.  He is good with female dogs but not male dogs, seems ok with our office cats.   Not housetrained but supposed to be crate-trained.  One warning to your Vet - he is NOT good at getting vaccinated or having blood drawn!   DOG ADOPTION FEE is $100. This Adoption fee includes: mandatory spay/neuter which will be done before you can take your dog or puppy home with you; basic canine immunizations (DHPP-CPV & Bordatella Intranasal); de-wormings; one-year rabies vaccination if old enough; heartworm test if over five months old; microchip from 24-Pet Watch; certificate for free health examination at your participating veterinarian; and a goodie bag chocked full of information, toys, and more.  (If a dog is sponsored or has a waived or lower fee, that info will be provided at the point of adoption to the approved adopter).   The first step is to our Adoption Application here:  https://elmorehumane.org/adoption-application-online-form2.html .   IMPORTANT – we respond to your emailed applications and queries via email back to you.  Please make sure you have either added our email  (hselco@bellsouth.net)  to your contact list or that you routinely check your SPAM folder for our response just to be safe.
