Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Athena - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! Meet Athena (that's me!), your next FBF (furry best friend)! I'm here searching for a family, a home...one I can say will be ALL mine! And since you're reading this, could that possibly mean my family could be with YOU?!! I'm around 4years old which puts me at a fabulous age...out of the puppy destructive stage that just loves the simple things in life like a cozy soft bed to lay my head or tasty treats to savor. I have one of the most sweetest gentlest souls you'll ever have the pleasure to meet and long to enjoy in some of that family dynamics!! I am sooooo super affectionate and have the most sweetest loving nature. I love everybody. No strangers out there for me! I'm just a fantastic family addition for any family even a first time pet parent, all you have to do is look into these striking blue eyes to see all the love! I come in at about 60lbs which is that pawsomely perfect size for, well yes, everything. I walk beautifully on a leash for neighborhood strolls, love hiking nature trails, would make a great camping trip companion, enjoy co-piloting errand runs (I call shotgun!) or supervising yard work, you name it I'm the gal for the task at hand!!! I will make a great companion, that heartbeat at your feet, for a family that is looking for a sweet ole girl that will gladly be your FBF, your 'lil' sidekick in all your life's adventures from mundane daily to weekend exciting!!! Story
We have had Lobo for about 3 years now. He is a very beautiful, fun, full of energy, stubborn red siberian husky. He loves to "talk" to you, like huskies do. He gets along well with kids, loves cars rides, and spending time at the campground (getting lots of attention). While he is a sweetheart, I do not have the time he needs. He was my husbands dog (I wasn't ready for a dog after we lost our chocolate lab). My husband gave him all the attention he needed and the outdoor life to run and play. My husband is no longer with us. I have done my best with Lobo, but do not have the time for him - demanding job and 3 busy kids. I want him to go to a good home where there is room to run and play and attention to give. His only downfall is that he is partially potty trained. He does have accidents in the house, but also barks to go out (sometimes). He is up to date on shots, except rabies, which I will get up to date before adoption. He is not neutered.

Story
Woof. The name`s Mumford and I`m what they call a straight shooter. I`m not going to sugarcoat it- I`ve been let down by humans before and I never planned on doing this whole shelter thing again but here I am. I guess the way I look at it, you can either get down on yourself or get over it so here`s to moving on. I`m a high energy and playful dude, once known for hanging loose in California. I like a dog who can match my vibe but I may not be for every dog, if you know what I`m sayin`. I haven`t paid too much attention to cats in the shelter setting and I`ll never turn down a tasty treat or some hot laps in the yard. I`m ready for adventure and forever, does that sound good to you?

Story
What is with all of the Huskies at HSMC?! My name is Rainier and I`m hoping that you`ll choose ME as the best Husky in the bunch and the right fit for your family. I came to the shelter as a stray with no one to tell my story. Staff have learned that I`m friendly but tend to be dominant with other dogs and that my prey drive is too high to share my home with cats. True to my breed I`m too smart for my own good and have sky high energy. Are you ready to keep up?

Story
Alpha here, what`s your name? They say I should tell you a little bit about myself, so here goes! I`m friendly, active and affectionate with a loud mouth and an independent side; I am a Husky after all! I`m a friend to other dogs, an enemy to cats (I have this thing called a prey drive), and a lover of children of all ages. I never thought I`d be spending the holiday season in the shelter; things don`t always go the way you plan but they do have a way of working out when you need them to. I`m hoping YOU will be what works out for me and that we can start our life together soon.

If you adopt this will come off your adoption fee. If you meet and it’s not a good fit you will be refunded. If you cancel or no show it’s non refundable. **Meet and greets for approved applicants must happen within 3 days or the closest weekend (for long travelers). It’s in the dogs/puppies best interest to be placed into their furever homes in a timely fashion. All household members must attend the meet and greet. Nue originally came to us from a seizure situation at a sled dog facility. She had only ever known time on the chain and was almost completely feral to humans. She spent a significant amount of time in her foster home before she was adopted where she continued to flourish. Due to a life-changing situation, the adopter was no longer able to keep Nue so her original foster graciously took her back knowing this was the only other home that she had known. Too much of the foster’s surprise she was a completely different dog when returning. She is more confident and more trusting, although she’ll still need a home that understands that she takes a little time to warm up, but after she does, she will vocally tell you how excited she is to see you and even come to you for attention. Nue is a fun loving girl, who needs a good human to help her live a good life. She is a quirky girl and loves a strong routine. She loves spending time outside and would love a fur friend to keep her company!
