Story
Olenna was adopted from the humane society September 4. She has done well learning basic commands and with house training but has more work to do. She has a lot of energy and is growing rapidly but she is very good in her crate and rarely whines. She wants to play a little too rough with our cat and our schedules have made it more difficult to train her appropriately than we anticipated. She is a very sweet dog and will make a wonderful companion for anyone willing to put in the time for her training.

Story
Meet Captain! He was recently surrendered to Mutt Life due to a college student not being able to take on a puppy. He is 2.5 months old and about 12 lbs. He is good with our other dogs in the house and the cats! He is doing really well with potty training and is working on crate training. He is great off-leash and follows you around the yard when outside. He has been good at sticking to dog toys for chewing. So far he has been a pretty chill good boy. He is a little timid until he warms up to you and then he is very snuggly and playful. He is a little vocal when in the crate, tapping into his husky roots. He is currently with one of our Mutt Life fosters working on potty training, walking on a leash, recall, sit and down, and crate training. Please check out www.muttlife.org to learn more about our adoption process and to apply for Captain.

I am currently in a place where there are lots of unwanted dogs and not all of us here get the chance I might have to leave! But in order to help me out of here to catch the ride to WI on November 1st and arrive on November 2nd, I need *both* a sponsor, and a WI foster home *or* a WI adopter! I have a place for now, but I can't stay here forever. The rescue has put a hold on me to save my spot on the trip up north to WI, but now they need YOUR help to get me there - don't wait!!! Joy was abandoned by her previous owner who moved away. She was left in a small pen with no food or water & without proper shelter. This gorgeous girl is so sweet and playful, she is ready for adventures with her forever family and getting all the love she deserves! This gorgeous girl is so sweet and playful, she is ready for adventures with her forever family and getting all the love she deserves! She loves other dogs and kids!  Adoption Fee: $450We are a Wisconsin state licensed dog rescue -WI# 402433   ***We do not have a central adoption center at this time. All our dogs are in private foster homes within WI. At this time we only place our dogs in areas of WI. The breed of our dogs is our best guess with the help of our veterinarians. Our Weight Classes are as follows: 0- 25lbs - Small 26- 45lbs - Medium 46-89 - Large 90+ X-large If you are adopting an adult dog, which we consider 6 months of age or older, your adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper shots, dewormed, flea & tick preventative, heartworm tested and microchipped. If you are adopting a dog younger than 6 months of age, the dog will be up to date on the shots as per the dogs age. The dog will be dewormed, flea/tick preventative and microchipped. We only spay/neuter our dogs by 6 months of age. If you decide to adopt a younger dog than 6 months of age, they will need to be spayed/neutered by your veterinarian when they are 6 months to 1 year or age. Proof that the spay/neuter has been completed will need to be submitted to Tailwaggers911. Once proof of the spay/neuter has been received, we will refund $100 of your adoption fee via Venmo, PayPal or have a check in the mail within 15 days.  at one of our preferred clinics. Once you are approved with our rescue, you can meet any one of our dogs within the fosters home. If you are interested in the dog you met, you can take the dog home under our mandatory foster to adopt program. You receive 5 days to see if the dog is the right fit for your home. If it is, we will conduct the home visit and finalize adoption. If it is not, it is returned to the foster. We are happy to find you another dog that meets your needs in your home. If a dog is listed as ADOPTION IN PROCESS, a family has met the dog and planning on adopting the dog after the home visit has been conducted. We always suggest sending in an application for a dog because there are times where the dogs are given back to us under the foster to adopt program. There are many reasons dogs are returned but normally it just was not the right fit for all. Please go to WWW.TAILWAGGERS911.COM under HOW TO ADOPT . We have an online application that is very easy to fill out. November 3, 2024, 12:58 pm

Story
My name is Denver, & I want to meet YOU!!! I'm about 2 years old & 60 lbs, I'm pretty sure I'm a full breed Husky, & you know what that means?!? ❗️FUN❗️ I'm a playful guy who loves all kinds of toys, playing with my big doggy friends, & especially 💦water💦!! I already know a few basic commands, I ride really well in the car, & sleep quietly (after a few squeaks) in my crate overnight. I get along great with other dogs & adore meeting new people. But NO CATS!! I lived in TX with a nice family, I did really well with their children & other dogs - but my fascination with the cats meant I had to find a new place to live. I'm a super smart guy with a big sense of humor, I like to test you to see if you mean what you say, so I'll need strong leadership & would love to do more training so I can be the best boy ever!! Now that I've told you about me, please submit your application so we can meet & get started on the ‼️FUN‼️!!DATCP#483538

Story
Nice to meet you, I'm Lulu. I'm a husky/shepherd mix who's about 3 years old & 75 lbs (but taking off some extra weight). My story is pretty long & kinda sad, I won't bore you with too much of it, my owner died so I ended up in the shelter, then I was adopted again but they decided they didn't want me so here I am. I'm a gentle girl who can be a bit hesitant at first, but quickly warm up if you're nice to me. I'll stand for hours for scratches, gazing at you gratefully from my crystal blue eyes. I get along great with other dogs, I haven't been around kids yet, but should do well once given a chance to adjust. Cats are an unknown. I love my dog friends, & can rough house with the best of them. I share toys & treats well with others, I love car rides, enjoy snacking on vegetables, have not had an accident in the house, & sleep calmly in my crate overnight. The shepherd in me loves having people I can count on, & look forward to having a place I can stay & love them. The first step is getting your application in to meet me, can we start there?DATCP#483538

Story
Coey is a 2 year old mixed breed, who weighs 50 pounds of pure athleticism. Whether you're into trail runs, hiking, or scenic car rides, Coey is eager to join. This golden boy loves nothing more than exploring the great outdoors, and he's happiest when he's doing it alongside his favorite people. Although Coey is built for adventure, he remains calm and well-mannered in public, making him a fantastic companion on outings. He's crate trained, great with kids, and has a friendly streak that makes him eager to meet new people along the way. Like us all, Coey has his quirks. He's a picky eater, with a complex palate that seems to change often. You can't blame him for wanting a little variety! Adjusting to a new home means learning new potty routines. He is fully housebroken in his foster home, but an adoptive home should expect a few accidents while he gets used to his new environment. While he loves to make dog friends, he prefers them to be on the calm and submissive side-no dominant males, please! Coey's also a bit of a Houdini, so he'll need a secure 6-foot privacy fence or someone willing to keep him leashed and supervised when outside. If you're ready for an intelligent and loyal companion to hit the trails with, Coey is your guy. He's waiting for the perfect home that can match his curious spirit and give him the love he deserves.
