Story
Hey, I'm Inu, 3yr old Husky mix, around 55 lbs. Am I ever "Inu".... see what I did there? I am a sweet boy who is ready for my new forever home. I get along great with people of all sizes and all the other doggos. I am not a fan of cats so please, let’s not try that! I am a bigger boy so keep that in mind if you have little people cos I could knock them over, but I would make an awesome walking / running / hiking partner with the big-uns! If you think you and I might just make the perfect pairing, then please check me out asap! *All of The Right to Live dogs are fostered locally in San Antonio Texas and will be transported to other states to their new families upon adoption. We believe fostering dogs and not having them decompress in a kennelled environment is more beneficial for the dogs and builds their trust and companionship in a family situation. Adoption fee includes transportation costs, previous/current medical treatment (spay/neuter, etc.) and a health certificate for cross-state travel*

Story
Meet Noki, a gorgeous 9-year-old Husky with a gentle soul and a love for the simple things in life. Most of the time, Noki is calm and relaxed, perfectly content to hang out and enjoy your company. Every now and then, she’ll treat you to her classic husky “talking” and silly squeals, which just adds to her charm. She’s good on a leash and greets strangers with confidence, always keeping all four paws politely on the ground. Noki isn’t one to demand constant entertainment, she’s more of a “let’s relax and watch TV together” kind of dog. While she doesn’t care much for toys, she does adore belly rubs and just being with her people. She’s lived with a variety of folks, from teenagers to a single older gentleman, and we think she’ll do best in a calmer, lower-energy household that matches her own laid-back pace. She’s shown no issues with other dogs, and she’s non-reactive to cats as well. With her chill personality, low-to-medium energy level, and sweet, people-pleasing nature, Noki is the kind of companion who will happily settle into your life and heart.

Story
Jennie is a loving, affectionate, and joyful girl with just the right mix of playful energy and cuddle time. She’s fully house-trained and does great as long as she’s let outside regularly. At night, she’s an absolute dream; she has slept through the night in her crate without issue and has also done very well free-roaming, choosing to snooze either on her foster’s bed or nearby on the floor. Jennie will settle in her crate after a few minutes of initial protest and usually falls asleep quickly. She may do best in a home that provides regular physical and mental enrichment. She’s treat-motivated and already knows sit and lay down, and she’s currently learning polite leash manners. She may rip up bedding if it is in her kennel otherwise she’s well-mannered and not destructive. Jennie absolutely loves other dogs and thrives with canine companions who want to play. She enjoys dogs of all sizes and will happily invite her foster siblings to play, even if they were just napping. While she can be a bit intense during play, she settles nicely afterward and is content to relax before gearing up for another round. Jennie does best with thoughtful dog introductions. She may initially challenge dominant dogs, but with structure, guidance, and consistency, she has shown she can successfully coexist, even becoming great friends within a few days. She does especially well with non-dominant dogs. She’s good with dog-savvy cats, though if a cat runs, she may want to chase. She responds well to corrections and generally prefers to investigate rather than fixate. Jennie is also wonderful with kids, from age 5 through teens, and does well with strangers. Once she realizes new people are there to give pets, she happily leans in for affection. This girl is a total attention-lover. She adores cuddling on the couch, sleeping near her humans, soaking up pets, and handing out plenty of kisses. Toys, bones, and tug-of-war are some of her favorite things. Fetch hasn’t quite clicked yet, but she’s open to learning. Her energy level is just above medium. she can keep going if given the opportunity, but she’s also happy to relax and observe the household once playtime winds down. Jennie is the kind of dog you can’t help but fall in love with. She loves with her whole heart and has a gentle, sweet nature paired with a silly, happy personality. She truly feels like the life of the party and has a way of looking at you that makes it impossible not to smile. While she has a few Husky quirks and can be a bit stubborn at times, her loving heart and joyful spirit far outweigh them. Jennie doesn’t just live in a home; she fills it with joy. She greets each day with enthusiasm and ends it curled up close to her people. In the right home, she’ll be a loyal, fun-loving companion who gives far more love than she ever asks for.
