Story
Max came to me by way of Texas from a family that found out that the wife and daughter were allergic to him. I got Max this past August and he is now 19 months old. Max is super friendly and very, very smart. He loves to walk, run and play and requires a lot of attention. It's hilarious to hear him talk back when he can't have his way. My 10yr old smaller dog and 7yr old cats see him as a giant. Max wants nothing more than to play with them, unfortunately the smaller animals see him as a threat.

Story
My name is Denver, it's no surprise I can have a big personality, & I want to meet YOU!!! I'm about 2 years old & 60 lbs, I'm pretty sure I'm a full breed Husky, & you know what that means?!? ❗️FUN❗️I can be full of dramatic gestures, but I'm very attached to my people, I've been known to throw myself in front of you, roll on my back, & remind you I need belly scratches (I like to add flair where I can). But if you're looking for those LOUD CRAZY huskies you see in videos? That's not me - I'm pretty quiet, I don't do a lot of those LOUD woo-woo howls, & once I've had my exercise, I settle down quietly & amuse myself with a chew toy. And I love to go on field trips, I'm very well behaved out in public. At home, I'd do best with another dog buddy and/or some children to be my friends. I'm a playful guy who loves all kinds of toys, playing fetch for a bit, wrestling with my doggy friends of all sizes, & especially 💦water💦!! I already know a few basic commands, I ride really well in the car, & I've just graduated to being trusted to sleep where I want at night - & I choose my crate with the door open. I get along great with other dogs of all sizes, I'm perfectly happy letting them be in charge, & I adore meeting new people. But NO CATS!! I lived in TX with a nice family, I did really well with their children & other dogs - but my fascination with the cats meant I had to find a new place to live. I got to hang out with some kids recently 4+ years old, & I was in heaven, I was so gentle, & belly crawled to get on their level (after a few nose kisses). And I haven't had an accident in the house for weeks, I just need some time to get settled. I'm a super smart guy with a big sense of humor, I like to test you to see if you mean what you say, so I'll need strong leadership & would love to do more training so I can be the best boy ever!! Now that I've told you about me, please submit your application so we can meet & get started having❗️FUN❗️DATCP#483538

Story
Hi, I'm Harlowe!! I've just arrived in WI from TX, so I'm still getting settled, but here's what my foster family has learned about me so far......I'm 2 years old, & a chonky 76 lbs. I haven't had a house accident yet, & sleep calmly overnight in my crate (you'll have to wake me up in the morning, I like my sleeps!). I'm super friendly with all the people I meet, & have gotten along great with the other big dog in my foster home. I can be a bit bossy, so would do best with dog friends that are okay letting me run the show sometimes. I'm not terribly interested in food but will do anything for a treat (go figure!). I'm good on my leash walks unless I see a squirrel, I'm still learning I can't go after them when I'm connected to a human. And I am calm & quiet on car rides. I haven't met kids or cats yet. I'll share more as I get to know everyone, but if you'd like to meet me, get your application in!!DATCP#483538

·Intake Reason: Transferred from MADACC-Weight: 41 lbs. Known with: ·Cats: Unknown ·Dogs: Unknown ·Kids: UnknownFun Facts About Me:•I am a wee bit cautious so I can be a little bit shy when I first meet someone or am in a new situation; give me a short time to get comfortable and I will definitely lean in for some scratches •When I am out for a walk, I do pull on the leash a bit because I like to run; I imagine I am a sled dog in the Iditarod•I am a bit of a bird-dog because I think it is fun to chase birds as they flit around; a bluejay caught my eye and I had a grand time trying to follow him from tree to tree#2Puppies are magnificent! I am cute, rambunctious, lively and fun. I have so much to learn, discover and explore - just a tiny sponge who is ready to absorb everything you have to teach me and show me. I am counting on you to help me safely navigate the world and experience new things each day to allow me to grow into a confident young dog. That isn’t as exotic and daunting a task as it might sound. Each day I just need to be introduced to one new thing like the sound of a vacuum, a blender or a door bell, walking up and down a step, a ride in a car, hearing a motorcycle or a truck, going somewhere to see new people, even maneuvering a fallen log on a walk. You get the idea, so many things that seem common to you are completely new to me. Speaking of growing, I may be tiny now but I do plan on getting bigger so I would love to take obedience classes to learn proper manners and social skills. I also know I have to practice something called house-training so I know proper potty behavior. A routine and lots of yummy treats and praise will go a long way to helping me master house-training when I potty outside. Puppies and dogs need love, exercise, mental stimulation and consistency to be healthy, happy and confident. I am typically very open to all sorts of housemates; I can be a bit mischievous and may find any other critter as a potential playmate so they will need to understand that about me. I often explore the world with my mouth and while I am teething I like to chew; my little puppy teeth are very sharp so if I am around children we should always be supervised. It is important that children learn about respecting me, too, and treat me gently because I am fragile. Raising a puppy is a big responsibility, a lot of work, and it may interrupt your sleep cycle for a bit, but a c
