Alaska is itching to find his new family! He’s a very high energy boy and would do well in a family who enjoys being active and can keep his young brain busy. Alaska is the king of confused head tilts and looking adorable! He’s excited to meet everyone and is very polite about introductions despite his high energy level. He’s still working on his socialization skills with other dogs, and would need to meet any future canine brothers and sisters before going home with you. Alaska can’t live with cats since he thinks that they’re toys for him to play with. We believe he would do well with children who are older and will enjoy running and jumping around with this goofy boy! Please note: - Our website (www.neenahanimalshelter.org) is updated in real time, so we are accepting applications for all animals that are currently listed. - Applications can be downloaded from our website. (http://neenahanimalshelter.org/how-to-adopt.html) - Our shelter has open visiting hours for cats, however pre-approved application are needed prior to an adoption. Appointments may be scheduled with an approved application as well, otherwise we may not be able to accommodate same day adoptions. - Approved applications are required prior to meeting any of our dogs. **Kittens are required to be adopted in pairs, unless there already is a cat in the home. If the cat in the home is 10 years or older, this two-kitten policy will apply.

·Intake Reason: Transferred from MADACC-Weight: 41 lbs. Known with: ·Cats: Unknown ·Dogs: Unknown ·Kids: UnknownFun Facts About Me:•I am a wee bit cautious so I can be a little bit shy when I first meet someone or am in a new situation; give me a short time to get comfortable and I will definitely lean in for some scratches •When I am out for a walk, I do pull on the leash a bit because I like to run; I imagine I am a sled dog in the Iditarod•I am a bit of a bird-dog because I think it is fun to chase birds as they flit around; a bluejay caught my eye and I had a grand time trying to follow him from tree to tree#2Puppies are magnificent! I am cute, rambunctious, lively and fun. I have so much to learn, discover and explore - just a tiny sponge who is ready to absorb everything you have to teach me and show me. I am counting on you to help me safely navigate the world and experience new things each day to allow me to grow into a confident young dog. That isn’t as exotic and daunting a task as it might sound. Each day I just need to be introduced to one new thing like the sound of a vacuum, a blender or a door bell, walking up and down a step, a ride in a car, hearing a motorcycle or a truck, going somewhere to see new people, even maneuvering a fallen log on a walk. You get the idea, so many things that seem common to you are completely new to me. Speaking of growing, I may be tiny now but I do plan on getting bigger so I would love to take obedience classes to learn proper manners and social skills. I also know I have to practice something called house-training so I know proper potty behavior. A routine and lots of yummy treats and praise will go a long way to helping me master house-training when I potty outside. Puppies and dogs need love, exercise, mental stimulation and consistency to be healthy, happy and confident. I am typically very open to all sorts of housemates; I can be a bit mischievous and may find any other critter as a potential playmate so they will need to understand that about me. I often explore the world with my mouth and while I am teething I like to chew; my little puppy teeth are very sharp so if I am around children we should always be supervised. It is important that children learn about respecting me, too, and treat me gently because I am fragile. Raising a puppy is a big responsibility, a lot of work, and it may interrupt your sleep cycle for a bit, but a c

Story
Hey there! I'm Taz! I'm a young and handsome husky that was surrendered to the shelter because I didn't get along with the cat in the home. I was adopted out and unfortunately returned not long after for being too hyperactive. That being said, I've found myself homeless again and am searching for my new forever home! I have lived with kids in the past, and I am very friendly with them, but I am a jumpy and mouthy boy sometimes, so I would do best in a home with older kids that are used to being around high-energy dogs. I love to go for walks and play in the yard, and I also enjoy getting pets and attention from time to time as well! I have A LOT of energy and really need a home with a land or a fenced-in yard preferably! I also will need some serious work on my manners when it comes to jumping and being mouthy. I have not really grown out of my puppy antics yet, so I could use some training for sure! Experienced dog owners are a must for me, and I will need lots of time and patience adjusting to home life again. I have lived with other dogs in the past, so there may be a dog out there that I could share my home with given it is a good fit. Staff and volunteers give me as much love as they can here, but I would really love to have a home of my own again where I can run and play to my heart's content! Could that be with you? I would love to meet you! Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 77 Age: 1yrs 7mths 2wks

Story
Bear is a 6 year old Wooly Coated Siberan Husky looking for a new home. Bear is healthy, neutered and up to date on his vaccinations. Bear is a constant companion and loves snuggling with his family - he will lay on your feet if there's no room on the couch. Like many huskies Bear has a great attitude about going outside during our Wisconsin winters and will not protest going outside to potty in January. He loves eating ice cubes! Bear has lived successfully with a young child and has interacted with other children in the family - he may do best with school age children. Bear is being rehomed because he is incompatible with another male dog living in the home. He has been peacefully coexisting with an older female dog but may do best as your one and only pet- he would love having his human family members all to himself. Bear has been groomed by the team at Petco twice a year and will come with a sponsored grooming as an adoption gift. He does really well on his kibble, so his family wi
