Story
Cast your line and get ready to reel in Catfish! She is sure to make a splash right into your heart.Catfish is a 3-year-old Siberian Husky/mix. Catfish is a gorgeous gal with striking blue eyes. In true Husky fashion, Catfish is a intelligent, sassy lady looking for her forever home. Catfish LOVES to be outside, and would make an amazing adventure buddy for an outdoorsy lifestyle!Catfish has been spending time in one of our wonderful foster homes, where we have been able to learn a lot more about her. Catfish is dog social, and may enjoy living with another dog. She does well around cats, mainly ignoring them. Catfish is incredibly food motivated, and has been working on perfecting her “sit” and “shake”!Catfish is looking for an adult only home without children, with extensive dog knowledge and experience. Catfish can be sensitive to touch (especially her paws) and restraint, and will need a patient adopter willing to continue to go slow with her. Catfish is working on muzzle training in order to make certain situations (like trips to the vet) easier and less stressful for her.If you are interested in meeting Catfish, please fill out an adoption application on our website, or contact us at wausharacoanimalshelter@gmail.com!

Story
Alaska is itching to find his new family! He’s a very high energy boy and would do well in a family who enjoys being active and can keep his young brain busy. Alaska is the king of confused head tilts and looking adorable! He’s excited to meet everyone and is very polite about introductions despite his high energy level. He’s still working on his socialization skills with other dogs, and would need to meet any future canine brothers and sisters before going home with you. Alaska can’t live with cats since he thinks that they’re toys for him to play with. We believe he would do well with children who are older and will enjoy running and jumping around with this goofy boy! Please note: - Our website (www.neenahanimalshelter.org) is updated in real time, so we are accepting applications for all animals that are currently listed. - Applications can be downloaded from our website. (http://neenahanimalshelter.org/how-to-adopt.html) - Our shelter has open visiting hours for cats, however pre-approved application are needed prior to an adoption. Appointments may be scheduled with an approved application as well, otherwise we may not be able to accommodate same day adoptions. - Approved applications are required prior to meeting any of our dogs. **Kittens are required to be adopted in pairs, unless there already is a cat in the home. If the cat in the home is 10 years or older, this two-kitten policy will apply.

Story
Dorothy is a year and a half old Siberian husky. She is loving, smart, and spunky. We love her so much. Dorothy does have behavioral issues and we worked with a trainer. Dorothy responded very well and is good in a typical a day to day basis. Dorothy has been really good with our kids but with the behavioral issues we do not completely trust her around the kids. Dorothy is good in the home, crate trained and training collar trained. Dorothy loves to be outside, play fetch, and run. Dorothy would be best suited with adults who have prior experience with huskies and would be active with her. We love her and will only pick a well suited home for her to thrive in.
