Story
Schooner wandered onto the rescue property early this year. He got along fine with the ranch dogs and made himself at home. He was shy at first until he knew he was safe. Schooner is a lover. Just sweet as he can be. And he loves to run! And run! And run! He is absolutely gorgeous all stretched out in a full run around the property. Unfortunately he lost that privilege when he started killing the resident chickens! So no chickens or small to medium farm animals. It is simply husky nature to hunt so he's just doing what is natural. He does so so on a leash. Rides great in a car. Gives hugs. He is eager to please and would love a home and family of his own who will teach him all the good stuff about being a family. Apply at www.krrtx.org/forms Please note all dogs are located in San Antonio, TX. We advertise out of state due to the critical pet overpopulation problem here in the south. We use Your Texas Rescue Connection to transport the dogs to your area. They are all up to date and come with a health certificate. The fee is $180 adoption and $200 transportation = $380. Thank you for considering adopting a southern dog.

Story
KaNoah is available for adoption through his foster home! If you would like to meet KaNoah, please reach out to us and we will connect you with their foster home!Meet KaNoah, a striking 4-year-old Husky with a beautiful black and white coat and an energetic spirit. Weighing 48 lbs, KaNoah is a bit underweight, but with the right care, he’ll fill out into a healthy and strong dog. KaNoah is full of life and loves to play, making him an excellent companion for an active family or individual. KaNoah is friendly and enjoys human companionship, but he prefers to be the only dog in the household. He’s working on his leash manners, but like many Huskies, he can pull a bit when he’s excited. With some patience and consistent training, KaNoah is sure to become a well-mannered walking partner. KaNoah would thrive in an active home where he can get plenty of exercise and playtime. He would do best with a family or individual who has experience with high-energy breeds like Huskies and can provide the structure and training he needs. KaNoah’s playful nature means he would enjoy a home that can provide regular outdoor activities and mental stimulation. Because KaNoah prefers to be the only dog, he would do best in a household where he can be the center of attention. His new family should also be prepared to help him gain some healthy weight through a nutritious diet. Story
Meet Xanthe, the adorably quirky Husky mix who’s got a personality as unique as her looks! At 4 years old and 33 pounds, Xanthe is sporting a blend of blonde and white fur that pairs perfectly with her trademark Husky blues. She might be on the smaller side for a Husky, and sure, her proportions are a little… unconventional, but that just adds to her charm! With her big, expressive ears that seem to have a mind of their own, Xanthe is a bit of a head-turner. She can be shy at first, but wave a treat (it better be her fave!) and she’s ready to break her cool facade. You can usually catch her curled up in a nest of blankets, where she loves to chill and show off her funny little habits, each one more endearing than the last. She’s looking for a home that appreciates a pup with a little extra flair—one where quirky is a compliment! Ready to meet this one-of-a-kind girl? The dog adoption fee is $90. Story
Name: Faith Gender: Female Breed: Husky About Faith: Introducing Faith, a remarkable 3-year-old Husky whose story is as inspiring as her spirit is endearing. Faith was found in August 2023, wandering the streets on the outskirts of Guadalajara city, in a harrowing state with a severe injury to her eye. Despite the unimaginable pain she must have endured, Faith's strong will and unyielding determination shone through, helping her survive and continue to show an incredible zest for life. Faith is a beautiful example of the resilience and strength Huskies are known for. With her natural runner’s spirit, she thrives in environments where she can explore and be active. Huskies are known for their boundless energy and love for adventure, so it's highly recommended to keep Faith securely leashed and within a fenced area to prevent her from chasing after small animals, which is an instinctive trait of the breed. Despite her rough start, Faith is incredibly smart, intuitive, and affectionate. She has an innate ability to connect with people and is open and trustful, showing that she has a big heart despite past hardships. Faith loves playing with other dogs and is well-balanced in social settings, making her a wonderful companion for outings and adventures with you by her side. Faith is a fast learner and responds well to training, thriving when given a purpose and regular daily exercise. As a working breed, Huskies like Faith need plenty of physical and mental stimulation to stay happy and healthy. She’ll be at her best when engaged in activities that challenge her and keep her active. If you’re ready to offer Faith the loving home she deserves, you’ll gain a loyal and spirited companion who will fill your life with joy and adventure. Come meet Faith and see how her resilient spirit and loving nature can enrich your life! They are currently in Mexico awaiting a family committed to a 10-day trial. If interested, please apply at www.northwestwagrescue.org. The adoption fee is $550 and includes up-to-date vaccines, a negative heartworm test, spaying/neutering, and microchipping. ##2093860##
