Story
Pheobe's family describes her as "just a really good dog". Pheobe is affectionate, smart, loyal, has grown up with kids and currently lives with ages 1-8 years old. Why does such a "good dog" need a new home? Sadly, Pheobe has caused heartache by severely injuring a couple of small animal house mates. Pheobe is crate trained, does well on car rides, pulls like a husky on walks, loves treats, sitting on laps, snuggling and being part of every day life. Pheobe is great with dogs her size (35+ lbs), has never tried to jump their 4 foot fence. She loves to talk and give her opinion, play ball and sun bathe. Can you help this girl get a fresh start so her family can heal? Increasingly, we are doing FOSTER TO ADOPT options! That’s where you and puppers make sure you’re a good fit for one another before signing on “the dotted line”….. it’s a win-win for everyone! Just ask your adoption counselor about how this works. Story
Z is an amazing guy. I love him very much. Unfortunately before I got him he had some issues with separation anxiety that has really came out since my work changed. He hasn't been the same. He needs a yard and a playmate and my place isnt conducive for that. I just cant give him what he deserves at this time and it is not fair to him. He is great with other dogs and cats. Just an all around good guy.

Story
Born, February 26, 2022 Calder is a Husky/Pitbull mix who is as sweet as can be! His foster mom describes him as the happiest and cuddliest pup who loves attention. He’s very well behaved and pretty quiet He is potty trained and gets along well with other dogs. Although he sleeps well in a kennel he’d much prefer snuggling with his people if he’s allowed. He would do best in a home with another canine companion of similar size and a home that is willing to continue training to make him a good canine citizen and grow into the best dog he can be. Calder’s forever home will require a secure 6 foot fence with adults or adults and children over 5. Applications: www.mikeyschance.com

Born, February 26, 2022 Styx is a Husky/Pitbull mix who is very sweet, snuggly and playful. He loves to wrestle with his canine friends in his foster home. He is well behaved and quite. Styx is potty trained and kennels well but would welcome an invitation to sleep with his people. There was a cat in his former home and he did fine. He would do best in a home with another canine companion of similar size and a home that is willing to continue training to make him a good canine citizen and grow into the best dog he can be. Story
Born approximately 1/10/22, Keaton is a young Husky and we believe maybe a Lab or Chesapeake Bay Retreiver mix. He came to us via Tri Cities Animal Shelter in Pasco Washington where he waited several weeks for someone to choose him. The volunteers at the shelter described him as an all-around good boy that enjoyed both walks and yard playtime with other dogs. He’s young, and energetic, enjoys his walks and does quite well on a leash. He knows sit and is treat motivated so learning new things should be a snap for this sweet and happy go lucky boy. Keaton does fine in a kennel, is mostly potty trained but will lift his leg to mark things – this most likely is from shelter life and with a belly band and redirection/training we believe this will stop once he’s settled into a place he knows is his. Keaton is up to date on vaccines, neutered and microchipped. Since he was picked up as a stray, he surely doesn’t mind an independent walk about so a home with a secure 6ft fence is required. A person or family that will commit to his mental and physical needs through routine training and exercise and a canine companion of similar energy would be a bonus. If there are children in the home, over the age of 5. Applications: www.mikeyschance.com/adoption-application Thank you for choosing rescue! Story
Meet Puddles! He is a male Husky mix born in December 2022. Puddles came to us from Tri City Animal Control. He is a typical goofy puppy! Active, adorable and curious. He gets along great with other dogs but has been known to chase a cat so would do best in a cat free home. Like any young pup he’s working on potty training but making great strides. He is a bit of a chewer so we recommend lots of chew toy options in his forever home. He is as vocal as you’d expect/he’s a great conversationalist while drinking coffee early on the morning or really anytime of day. Puddles will do best in an active home with a secure 6 foot fence and preferably another canine companion. Breed experience is a bonus 😊 If there are kids in the home, preferably over the age of 5. Story
Meet Phoebe! Phoebe is a female husky mix born in June of 2022. She initially presents as shy and timid, but once she feels safe, she is playful and very affectionate. She’s good with dogs of all sizes. Cats are unknown. Her current foster home has chickens, and although she is curious, a firm "no" or "leave it" has kept her from chasing them. She is incredibly smart and learned kennel, sit and the dog door in just a few days. Phoebe is crate trained and house broken. She loves her walks and is getting better on a leash. She will require a fully fenced yard and regular exercise. She will do best in a home that will allow her time to settle in and who is willing to work on building her confidence with new people. A home with another canine companion would be most beneficial. Applications: www.mikeyschance.com

Story
Fantasma (also known as Tazzy) is a Husky mix born approximately December 20, 2022. She’s a parvo survivor and a sweet girl! She is a talker and will happily hold a morning conversation while you drink your coffee. She lives with other dogs of all sizes and ages and does well with them all. She has not been cat tested. Tazzy is crate trained and housebroken-she’s still working on leash manners and basic commands. Tazzy will do best in a home with breed experience. She loves to learn and is eager to please, a home that will continue training is ideal. She will require a home with fully fenced yard, she’s not a good candidate for condo or apartment life. If there are children in the home, over age 5 is preferred. Applications: to foster or adopt can be found at: www.mikeyschance.com
