Story
Cosmo is a very sweet and loving boy. He loves fetch and chewing bones. He must be the only dog or have significant training. Cosmo was abandoned in the park near our home. We took him in when the temp started to drop. He was in very bad shape, infested with fleas and mange, missing half his hair, and starving. Animal control was going to put him down and we made the decision to try to keep him. He has been getting medical care and is scheduled for shots and neuter. Sadly, he has begun to have issues with our other young male dog. He has bitten him on the ears and neck, he is very possessive over toys and anything he thinks he owns. It is very sudden. We have to keep him muzzled or separated and closely supervise any time they are in the same room. This is not sustainable for us. We are looking to rehome him with to someone ready for a high energy, young dog. Cosmo needs some training on manners but is very smart and catches on quickly. He would be a great hiking partner!

Story
I am currently at Stafford Creek Corrections Center as part of the FREEDOM TAILS Board & Train Program from August 8 - October 31. This popular program pairs a duo of incarcerated individuals up with a PAWS of Grays Harbor pooch for 12 weeks. Each dog has a primary and secondary handler assigned to the same cell, giving the dog 24-hour care and attention to meet its needs. During their stay at SCCC, these dogs receive specialized training to prepare them for adoption to the public. At the end of their 12-week stay, they enjoy a special adoption ceremony with their new families to show off their skills as they start a new journey. Now, I want to give everyone a hug. Even the harden inmates hug me!! You wanna hug too? I’m still learning new and exciting things from my handler. I can sit pretty handsome, roll over, and shake with both paws. I can sit down, but I am still too stubborn for up…because the ground is so comfortable, at times. Story
HAPPY NEW YEAR FROM ME, MISTO! I am a young (about a year) husky mix recently rescued from a crowded California shelter. I was terrified there, but after a few days, my sunshine personality came out! I'm a loving, dog-friendly boy who would do well with another dog in the home, or as an only dog, too. I love to play and am happy! Change is a bit scary for me so I would do well with both a patient and active person, who could take me for walks, hikes and other outings. I have the most beautiful blue eyes, and I weigh about 50 lbs. Please email for an application! I currently need a foster or forever home.

He is great with everyone he meets including kids. Whiskey would love to be the only apple of your eye and be an only dog. He is also untested with cats but we suspect he would do best in a cat free home also.    Sadly Whiskey is losing his home and needs to find a new forever home. If you are interested in Whiskey please fill out an application HERE and we will forward it to his owner.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 6, 2024, 3:20 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Check Me out !Paddington’s story is one of resilience and tenderness. Abandoned at the tender age of nine in a ditch in Mexico, he endured a difficult start before being welcomed into our Amazing Grays program following a comprehensive medical evaluation. He is crate trained, enjoys leisurely walks on a leash, sleeps soundly at night, and gets along well with both cats and dogs. Given his age, he requires more frequent bathroom breaks and has some mobility issues, making a home with few stairs the best fit for him. Although he faces some vision loss and may exhibit signs of dementia, he thrives on affection and loves to relax on the couch. While he can be slightly protective of his food and prefers some space during mealtime, he is truly a gentle giant at heart. What's even more fun is we've learned all the best breeds that are compiled in this super mutt: 43.4% Siberian Husky 25% Super Mutt 13.5% Alaskan Malamute  8.3% Samoyed  5.4% American Pitbull Terrier  4.4% German Shephard Apply to foster or adopt today!
