Story
Puck is an adorable, smart, and loving dog who recently spent the weekend in an overnight foster home—and he was a fantastic guest!Puck got along wonderfully with his foster sibling, a black lab. The two became fast friends, engaging in belly-rolling play sessions and sharing a sweet, submissive play style. Puck even mirrored his foster sibling’s behaviors, like waiting patiently for meals, lounging on the couch, and going to the bathroom in the same spot in the yard. (We’re pretty sure Puck’s foster sibling is already missing him!)This cuddly guy is house-trained and slept soundly through the night on a dog bed in his foster parent’s room. In the morning, he happily joined them on the bed for snuggles.Puck is not only affectionate but also great with kids. At a recent soccer game, he charmed his way into the hearts of many admirers. Children loved petting his long, soft fur, and Puck showed his gentle nature by giving them sweet kisses. On walks, Puck is attentive and easy to handle, checking in often with his human and making eye contact. He’s also incredibly smart and eager to learn! If you’re looking for a smart, trainable, and affectionate companion who’s great with other dogs, gentle with kids, and loves a good cuddle, Puck might just be your perfect match!Ready to meet Puck and see if he’s the one for you? Story
Meet Kino! Kino has had a rough start at life and needed emergency eye surgery with us here at the shelter. He received great medical care with our veterinary team here and has been recovering like a champion! Kino is the perfect patient and allows the vet team to put his meds all the way into his mouth! He seems curious about female dogs and has lived with pre-teens in his previous home. He`s a tough-as-nails trooper who has a cute habit of pulling his blankets off his bed and arranging them on the floor to lay on instead of the bed, and he prefers eating his food out of a special, fun puzzle bowl rather than a boring old metal bowl. Come into the shelter to learn more about this survivor! The Seattle Animal Shelter is committed to reducing length of stay for all of our shelter pets! Story
Calling all Husky lovers!! Orbit is ready to find his adoptive home. He went to foster care and this is what his foster parent had to say about him: "Orbit has a cool trick where he can toss tennis balls from his mouth, and they travel about 2-3 feet! During his foster time, he spent the rainy, windy weekend together at home, staying warm. He is the most lovable guy I've had the pleasure of getting to know. Though Orbit appears to be an adult, he would like you to know that he is still a puppy. He is a brave puppy with tons of potential, patiently awaiting his furever family. Besides his courage, he is curious and eager to learn. Since he loves walkies and chasing fall leaves in the wind, Orbit would appreciate learning how to be as awesome on a leash as he is at everything else. This guy is neither loud or boisterous. He prefers to communicate with his eyes and nudges with his snout. Fortunately, Orbit is great in the car enabling him to go most places with his family. I know he would love to spend the holidays with a family. Orbit loves having his fur brushed and body scratches. Sharing mealtime with loved ones and his favorite activity is staring out the window". Come and meet Orbit today!Orbit would do best in a home with:-Kids over 12-No cats Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 58.9 Age: 1yrs 2mths 0wks
