Story
Sasha is a four year old Siberian Husky. She is sassy, energetic, sweet and snuggly. She loves to play with her toys, chase her brother/best friend around the yard and sleep on her dog bed. Sasha currently is an indoor and outdoor dog. While she loves to be outside, especially in the snow, she is a dainty little lady and loves her dog bed and soft warm blanket inside with the family. She has been around kids her whole life and while she doesn’t mind babies and toddlers, she prefers older kids that can play with her. Sasha needs to feel safe and loved. She needs lots of exercise and attention. She’s the sweetest girl. We want her to go to the best home. Sasha does jump people when she gets excited. We’re working on that. She’ll lick your face off if you let her! She loves the dog park and walks (she does pull! She’s a husky!) she gets along better with big dogs. She does dig on exposed dirt but leaves well manicured lawns alone. She’ll be your new bestie in no time! She just wants love!

He doesn’t have much of a story but, he’s a really good dog but I’m not able to finance owning him! He does like to eat things he shouldn’t and we’re working on that. He’s really sweet and never barks or bites, he does howl a bit if you leave but he’s fine otherwise. I hope you’ll look into adopting him!

Story
Everest Junie, known as “EJ” around the rescue, is a truly special girl. Resilient, loyal, brave, incredibly smart and so good with other dogs. So innocent and precious, beautiful and hopeful. We suspect Everest Junie to be a Husky mix, around 1 year old and 40lbs. She is a rescue, so her exact age and breed are unknown to us and cannot be guaranteed. Growing is actually most of what EJ does. EJ was a street rescue, found begging for pizza. When she arrived at the rescue, the one word to describe her would be “fearful.” EJ was scared of the leash, the house, the people, the everything. In the months since, EJ has grown so much. She allows people to pet her now, she risks it for the biscuit- taking treats right out of our hands these days. Fall in love with EJ here: Everest Junie has discovered so much in her time with us, and here are some of her favorite things: ice cream, beef jerky, squeaky toys, couches, soft beds, and other dogs. EJ is incredible with other dogs. She reads social cues so well, and knows exactly what to do with them. She has a fun and goofy playstyle that you can see in her video! EJ does so well with other dogs that we use her as an assessment dog. This means that EJ greets new intake dogs, and teaches them that the rescue is a safe place, while teaching us humans about the new intake dog. Everest has saved hundreds of canine lives by assisting with assessments. Here at the rescue, EJ does well in her crate. She’s quiet and calm, and even sticks her nose through the bars every morning to get a “boop” from her favorite staff member. She doesn’t have accidents in the house, or in her crate. On leash, she’s fairly easy. Her leash manners will need some polishing, but she does have a strong positive association with the leash. EJ has a few humans that she’s grown to trust, and she’s so loyal to those people. Everest Junie is still a shy girl, she has been a domestication case for us since her arrival. She’s growing more and more confident with people every day, but as a puppy, she knew no loving humans. This means that she’ll need extra decompression time, our behavior team speaks at length about her specific needs in her video. Our behavior team is prepared to have an in-depth discussion with her adopter about her needs. Everest Junie has always been fearful of us humans, but she’s never been aggressive in response. EJ is an incredibly tolerant dog, and such a bright soul. She has a sweetness to her that will surely blossom once she’s settled into her forever home. EJ’s perfect home is loving, patient and kind. EJ will need some doggy-siblings to teach her the ropes of a loving home. At the rescue, she has spent time with children as young as 3. She did well with these dog-savvy and respectful little ones. EJ ultimately just needs a soft place to land, and she will surely bloom into the most wonderful dog. She will love you so much for it. We are willing to test EJ with anything you need us to in order to ensure she’s the perfect match for you. If you have any questions about her, her situation or her needs, please reach out to her adoption coordinator, who would be thrilled to have a discussion with you about this beautiful girl. Our behavior team is ready to have an in-depth discussion about EJ’s behavioral needs with her forever family. Please email jessicak@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Story
This dreamy fluffy boy is named Marshall Cooper. Marshall is a handsome, sweet boy that adores other dogs, treats, and squeaky toys. He’s destined to be a valued family member. His foster family brags that he’s great with kids, and knows how to sit on command! He’s a perfect family dog, perfect work from home companion, perfect playmate for your dog. Marshall is a big boy, 68 pounds of fluff, sunshine and good vibes. We think he may be a Husky, Malamute mix, but he is a rescue so these are just our best guesses. Marshall is currently estimated to be around 2 years old, the perfect age to value a snuggle as much as a backyard play sesh. Fall in love with Marshall here: https://youtu.be/ky94iyUufGM?si=wktFlBLB6dPqhYIh Beloved by his foster family, Marshall currently resides in a home with other dogs and does well with them! He enjoys playing in the yard with his 45 pound male foster sibling. His foster family brags that he’s great with kids that he meets on walks and excursions, he knows how to sit on command, and knows how to get into his kennel on command. They boast his great house manners, and potty-trained status. Treats are the way to his heart, his foster family says, and he will work for them! Marshall is food motivated, which will make further training enjoyable and rewarding for both of you. Here at the rescue, Marshall showed off his canine social skills, doing great with every dog he met. He has a bouncy and fun playstyle that encourages other dogs to play chase with him. We think he would do well in a home with other medium energy dogs. Marshall does well on leash, he could use a tiny bit of polishing but he has a great basic understanding of leash manners. He’s also a very confident walker, not afraid of stairs or tight spaces on leash. If you’re looking for a hiking buddy that will impress you in the woods, Marshall is your guy! Marshall is great in the car, and confident and friendly with strangers. Taking him out and about will be a pleasure. Take this cutie to the park and watch him steal hearts. Marshall is affectionate and engaged at times, but also content to do is own thing. He doesn’t mind occupying himself with a toy for a while, taking a nap by himself, or simply meandering around and taking in all the sniffs. He would be a perfect work from home companion! Marshall Cooper’s perfect home will have at least one loving human to keep him company, and lots of treats to munch on. We do recommend a kitty-free home for Marshall! He could be an only-dog, or doggy-siblings with a medium energy dog that doesn’t mind some backyard play time. With any questions, please reach out to his adoption coordinator, whose email is linked below. We are willing to test Marshall with anything you need us to in order to ensure he’s the perfect match for you! We can make most anything happen! Just let us know. We have over 15,000 successful adoptions so far and have excellent Google Reviews: https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success. Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress! Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: ● Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family ● Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test ● 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion ● A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions ● 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription ● Coupons for a fun visit to Petco ● 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions ● Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer ● Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity.
