Story
Sage is 2-1/2 and is a pure-bred Siberian Husky who loves exploring. She has been my hiking/running partner. She doesn’t pull! Sage sleeps outside in the backyard durning the cooler months - loves the cold weather/snow - and inside during summer. Sage’s happy place is the mountains. She is a sweet dog with humans, but she has a strong prey drive with smaller animals. She is a very dominant dog and doesn’t do well with alpha dogs. She needs 2 walks/day. One 30 minutes and one 10 minutes. If she gets that exercise in, she is very good. Recently she attacked a dog while we were playing in the front yard and she was not on a leash. She put some holes in his neck. He was fine, but animal control said Sage has to be on a leash and wear a muzzle when off our property. I love Sage. It breaks my heart to lose her. We are a busy household and can’t be sure she will not escape and hurt an animal again. She wears a muzzle now. If you are a very active person who needs a buddy, Sage is for you.

Story
Mara is a beautiful female, 3-4 years old. She is very active, and has a sassy attitude. She does well with other dogs, at times likes to bully them. She has lived with cats but antagonizes them. She loves giving kisses and getting all the attention. I would love to see her go to the right home. Would prefer someone with a decent sized yard and has the time for her.

Because you will be giving one of our many dogs and cats in need a chance for a better future away from a city that has an animal crisis. So often are these animals dumped, abandoned, or born on the streets and never find a home to call their own. We are giving them the chance that every animal deserves. We know that since you are looking to add a furry family member to your home here, you will provide the love, care, and attention they need to thrive.  Thank you for considering adopting and not shopping.
