Story
Meet Prince – Your Loyal and Adventurous Companion Prince is a stunning 3-year-old Siberian Husky with a heart as big as his beautiful coat. This resilient boy was found as a stray, already neutered and microchipped, but sadly, his owner never came forward. When rescued, Prince’s fur was so severely matted that it required removal under anesthesia, revealing painful sores underneath. Now fully healed, Prince is ready to leave his past behind and find the loving forever home he deserves. True to his breed, Prince is a spirited and adventurous pup who loves to explore. While he enjoys outdoor time, his ability to climb fences means he needs a home with supervised outdoor activities or a family committed to taking him on walks and adventures. He rides like a dream in the car, making him a perfect partner for road trips or weekend getaways. Indoors, Prince is an affectionate and loving companion who adores snuggling up with his people. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs, making him a great addition to a home with canine siblings. Though he’s still working on his potty training, Prince is eager to please and will thrive with consistency and patience. If you’re searching for a loyal, playful, and adventurous friend who will shower you with affection, Prince might just be the perfect match. With his resilient spirit and loving nature, he’s ready to embark on a new chapter filled with love, care, and endless adventures. Could Prince be the missing piece of your family? Prince is being fostered in a home in Seguin, TX but can be transported out of state. Adoption fee is $250 in Texas, $600 out of state to cover the health certificate and transport costs.

Story
We adopted Rocky a little over a year ago. He loves to snuggle and cuddle. He loves chest scratches and belly rubs. He loves long walks and car rides. He wants to be near his people. He likes to stretch out indoors when it’s hot outside, and lounge on the back porch when the weather is cool. He likes to sneak on the sofa in the middle of the night. (He thinks we have no idea 😂) Rehoming due to a childs allergy and respiratory issues. He must be the only pet in the house. He is not fond of other dogs and can be a bit reactive around them. He has improved a lot over the past year- just a little patience and caution required. He is AMAZING with people of all ages.

I am currently in a foster home and not at HSNBA, if you are interested in meeting me, please contact the nice folks at HSNBA so they can put you in contact with my foster family to set up a meet & greet. E-mail HSNBA at adoption@hsnba.org, call us at: (830) 629-5287 or stop by and speak with the folks at HSNBA at 3353 Morningside Dr. to get your information sent over to my foster home. My foster family is the best and can give you more information on me.Hi, my name is Mya (used to be Cynthia). I’m a female two year-old Siberian husky. The first thing I want you to know about me is I am extremely timid, but it’s only because I’m trying to figure things out with my new family. It will take me plenty of time to warm up to you, but once I do I will be completely yours. I’m not the least bit aggressive toward other dogs or cats, and am very cautious until I get comfortable with them. I am very smart, alert and curious. I taught myself how to use my foster’s dog door the first day by watching their dogs. I am house trained, and a very comfortable in a crate. You can crate me when necessary at first as I feel safe when introduced to new circumstances. I have no food aggression when eating in close vicinity of other animals. As an adolescent husky, I have tons of energy and need to be stimulated and exercised daily to purge some of my energy. I am not a chewer but enjoy stuffed animals and bones of different kinds. Simply put, you’ll need to go slow with me, but I’m WORTH IT!HSNBA lists all animals online from the moment of intake, and our listings are updated automatically every midnight. Some of these animals may not be available for adoption at this moment, but you can always call the shelter at 830-629-5287 for clarification on the adoption process or the animal's current status.

I have tested heartworm positive. This means I have a parasite and need treatment. While my friends at HSNBA desperately want to help me, the shelter is too stressful an environment to undertake treatment and treatment itself is very expensive. The shelter has a few options to help with treatment, and if I steal your heart you should talk with them and your vet about what my treatment is like. For more information on heartworms, please visit the American Heartworm Society here https://www.heartwormsociety.org/pet-owner-resources/heartworm-basicsHSNBA lists all animals online from the moment of intake, and our listings are updated automatically every midnight.
