Story
Scarlett is a fun energetic dog. She’s great with cats, dogs and kids. I rescued Scarlett a little over a year again from a home that was not great. She was neglected and chained up out side all day. She is not food aggressive or play aggressive. Sadly I found out my 2 year old has an allergy to dogs and as you may know with a husky, they shed. Scarlett has come such a long way and deserves a loving and understanding home. She does show slight shyness when meeting people for the first time but once trusting she’s a great companion. She is crate trained and it can go with her. I can get her spayed before the adoption or reimburse. Please let me know if you have any questions.

From the moment she stepped into her rescuer's home, Ulani made herself right at home. This delightful girl gets along beautifully with other dogs, always eager to play and make new furry friends. She relishes receiving attention and has a special affinity for sitting on laps, blending affection and companionship seamlessly. While Ulani loves her cuddle time, she also has a playful and energetic side. She requires regular exercise to keep her happy and healthy. At her rescuer’s home, she joyfully ran alongside a golf cart, showcasing her lively spirit and zest for life. Since arriving at the shelter, Ulani has consistently displayed a wonderful, easy-going attitude, quickly becoming a favorite among the volunteers. Her sweet nature, combined with her love for both human and canine companionship, makes her an all-around endearing companion. Meet Asher - Asher is a beautiful tan and white Shepherd/Husky mix that I have been fostering for 7 weeks. He is one of the most intelligent dogs I have ever fostered. Sometimes a dog comes along that really stands out, Asher is one of those dogs. He is a genius at puzzle games. I swear it takes me longer to figure out how to put the treats in the puzzles, then it takes for him to get them out. We have bought several new ones to see what he can do, and nothing is a challenge for him. A funny quirk with Asher, is he loves to eat laying down. He will let you take the bowl from him with food in it, no aggressive issues at all, but too cute to see him lay down and wrap his paws around the bowl like it is his first meal and doesn’t want anybody to take it from him.Asher roamed my property with my 6 dogs, both large and small with no issues. I even introduced him to a batch of small puppies I was fostering, and he plays gently with them. He lived most of the time at my boarding facility, so he had a bunch of dogs to play with every day. He was a favorite of play groups, never had an issue. To watch him run my property and play with other dogs, it is like he analyzes everything before engaging. Asher will need a home that offers him a job to do or something challenging. Even though he is as sweet as they come, I’m not so sure he will be just a good little lap dog that rolls over for a treat. He needs to be worked in my opinion. This is one that’s tempting to keep, but then again, my life is too busy to give him what he needs.Are you the person to meet this amazing boy and give him the home he needs and deserves?Est. Shine is a 4 year old, SPECIAL NEEDS husky mix. She is up-to-date on all her vaccinations, spayed and heartworm negative. Shine was born with intramural ectopic ureters, abnormalities in the tubular tissues that connect the kidneys to the bladder. The birth defect causes urinary incontinence, as her urine bypassed her bladder. Shine had laser surgery as a young puppy to open the ureters back to her bladder. The surgery corrected some of her urinary incontinence; however, she continues to have urinary leakage. Shine is crate trained and enjoys toys, bones, dipping her feet in the swimming pool and playing with other friendly dogs. She is on the small side for a husky, but that keeps her jumping a 6 foot fence (as huskies are known to do!). She also sheds - a furminator and/or doggie brush, and vacuum cleaner are necessities! Shine needs a family who is willing to take on this challenge and love her "as-is." If you think you are ready to adopt a special needs baby please put in an application at www.hhfrescue.org.
